I will go somewhere else and ask politely if they can price match HN.
A nice staff at JB will probably willing to do so .
Never shop at HN unless absolutely no choice.

Never shop at HN unless absolutely no choice.

why is that? Is it that they well lower quality stock or something? Or no warranty?

      • +8

They will try sell you a $300 monster hdmi cable with it

Lots of folks are still dirty at Mr Harvey (and rightfully so IMO) over the jobkeeper dishonesty, but more so, his "influence" over the federal decision to start taxing low value imports that Australian shops dont even stock, let alone make.

I tried buying acer swift x over the last deal and the guy nearly spit in my face trying to sell me the warranty cover and even told me to borrow money from friends to buy the cover lol.

Thats what $hits me about working for this mob. So many bad staff that should be selling cars and real estate.

From wikipedia: In January 2011, Harvey was embroiled in a widely-condemned campaign, backed by a number of brick-and-mortar Australian retailers, to scrap tax rules that allowed Australians to shop on overseas websites without paying GST. In response to the campaign, the Federal Government asked the Productivity Commission to investigate and report on the retail industry. Harvey subsequently said the report was a waste of time and money, and that he did not read it.

He lobbied hard for GST on international purchases, ultimately leaving consumers worse-off.

Yep, remember Gerry when that $5 AliExpress cable costs $5.50.

He looked after his peers. I think that's honourable.

    • But the RSPCA burns through 100 Millions just to lobby to keep his dog happy.
Now the dog finally got to reveal the real name, looks gone sad?

Harvey Norman no thanks. Harvey can jam himself up his greedy backside for all I care. He will rot along with his greedy dollars and die soon, but his GST shenanigans will never be forgotten.

  • I'm sure there will be deals and offers on 7a over coming days.

  • They can't even wait for another couple of days.

It’s not bad deal. Except it means I have to buy from the same people who happily took job keeper money they didn’t need and kept it for shareholders.. And I vowed would never buy from Hardly normal ever again.
