Such a fall from grace, I've run ASUS motherboards and GPUs for the past ~20 years and had my first DOA motherboard just last month, but apparently it's relatively common lately with ASUS (according to J2c).
24GB should be enough headroom till Q3 2024
but the gpu will be fried before that and asus wont honour their warranty

With this card at $2700 now, it should mean a lowering of the price for all the cheap model cards that have been sitting at $2700 for such a long time

No they don't, but they also don't intentionally alienate their user base
No doubt Asus is sustaining some serious brand damage right now people are thinking twice before buying their products after being called out for scumbag behavior by GN and J2c
