Yikes, 200% inflation, some kind of record.

        But… it’s purple…

  • Thanks OP for sharing. Grabbed a set to pair with my new Mac mini. Will be nice to gain Touch ID actually.

Side tip, Mac unlocks automatically if wearing an Apple Watch. Confirm password on purchases etc double click on watch.

      • Yeah I know but I hate taking my hands off the keyboard

Yes, used to do this with my Apple Watch until it broke one day and I decided I hated charging the thing every day and replaced it with a Garmin. Funny enough the Mac unlocking feature was the only real thing I missed in the end.

  • I'm just wondering in what kind of project does CompNow do to get dozens if not hundreds sets of iMacs that doesn't require included keyboard/mouse throughout these years. I mean it has to be some kind of business project which uses that many iMacs on its own, does it?

    • Who cares

Most likely education computer labs. The iMacs can't be ordered from Apple without the peripherals, but wired peripherals are substituted in at the time of deployment as they can be secured to the machines.

I used to work in Higher Education so this is how we did things when Apple stopped offering wired keyboards as an option, and prior to that we always subbed out the Apple mouse for a Logitech one which was both a better quality mouse and had a longer cable making it easier to secure to the Macs.

Higher Education labs often have unsupervised access so not locking things down was not an option.

Mouse is considered one of the dumbest design ever
