I'm pretty sure they have a lot more than 5. Scorptec just likes to list 5 at a time to create the illusion of scarcity.

Good deal. Can you Student Beans or Student Edge to bring it down to 91.

    • Yeah most likely,

Not sure don't have a student edge account, someone with student edge to confirm

Sorry was a typo on my part. It wasn't a question, I can confirm that I tested and it worked.

I'm pretty sure they have a lot more than 5.

      This is correct.

9 already sold after this deal was posted and the quantity just keeps getting updated back to 5.

Yeah but with shipping it's an additional $15

      Nonetheless good price

  • This or the Samsung 980 Pro ?

  • Would this work well with the Inateck M.2 NVMe Enclosure, USB 3.2 Gen 2 with 10Gbps Transmission or would you recommend something else?

    • Not a good idea. The KC3000’s speed will be bottlenecked by USB speed which is 10gbps (or 1250MB/s).

If you’re going to use an external enclosure, save your money and get a PCIE gen 3 drive.

      • Even with a Thunderbolt 4 (I've a Mac Studio)?

        • +2

Well the enclosure you linked only supports USB 3.2 gen 2 at 10Gbps hence my comment.

Not sure about Thunderbolt but I think those enclosures are a lot more expensive ($100+ at least).

  • Ebay 10% off btw 1-5pm, capped at $20.

  • This or the Adata blade pre-order https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/773667
for a laptop and use case of moving alot of small sound files around?

    • +1

This would probably have a very slight advantage but very unlikely you'd see a difference in real use. If they come out to the same price after shipping I'd probably get this

Thankyou @legendairyy. I'll look up thermals cos I'm new to M.2s and dont know much, then pull the trigger.
