No Android apps. It has a decent collection of apps (and works great with a NAS) and is surprisingly quick. But if you want Android it's better to buy a fire stick or chromecast w/ google tv (or shell out for a Shield).
How does this compare to the TCL C835?
Had high expectations with this TV. But its not, its a decent tv, but think the processor is not upto the mini LED HW. Frames jitter occasionally when subjects move into bright areas, Blooming exists and the VIDAA OS cant keep up in performance. Not to mention lack of apps (no Paramount+ for starters). The screen emits heat like its an electric heater (a nice 2-in-1 for winter :) Read reviews, seems like Australia gets a different (lower end) version to what US gets. Its evident in the remote it has dedicated buttons for ABC iview and Kayo - so the reviews must be true of the different lower grade panels and processor (and color printed box packaging).
But for this price I recon its the very best we can get, especially if you can live with these faults - like I do. Else for perfection need to increase your budget. (tho I dont know how similar TCLs are doing)
Hisense bait and switch, do not believe the review. They sell inferior TVs to us with the same model number as the better US version.
You will regret the purchase.
