    Good mouse

    • +3

second that. been using it since covid started. seamless connectivity across 3 devices.

  • Awesome mouse for a great price

  • +7

You would be a fool not to buy this mouse, it's absoloutely the business. I have one for work and home. The triple input, BT and logi unifier support is great, battery lasts ages, comfortable.

    Button 1 = work laptop, button 2 = home, button 3 = ipad.
    Just buy it.

    • Do you connect connect one device with the usb receiver or 3 devices with Bluetooth?

      • I think I've got it on one receiver and 2 bluetooth.
I don't THINK it can do 2x receiver and 1 bluetooth.

        • +1

it can, I am doing it. Need logi software to tie two recievers with same device.
          faster switching over BT.

          • @haiprazzad: I could've sworn I tried it, I have a whole heap of spare receivers.
            Handy!

      • Can do 3 Bluetooth. Been using mine for the last year or so. Great buy. Wanted USB-C charging but no biggie cos the battery lasts a long time. Think I've only had to charge the battery once.

      • +1

I have mine set up with 3 devices on 3 USB receivers.
All you need is Logitech Unifying Software and you can pair everything up.
So easy to switch between the 3 devices too.
        Love this mouse!

  • I remember getting this for $20 sigh

  • +1

Very good mouse. Ergonomic and good fuctions.

  • Have one for a few years now, just recently replaced with a g604 and keep this one as a spare. Great price and a very good mouse

  • I have one but still think they're lazy for not making this rechargeable and instead making people use an AA battery.

I got a Rapoo mouse from Amazon at the same price, but it does 3x BT + 1x with the dongle. Size wise its about the same as my MX Master but lighter to keep in my backpack for work. USB-C rechargeable. Great alternative to the Logitech.

    • +12

You can just use AA rechargables in it and it means when the battery would have swollen and died, this keeps working

      • +3

My original MX Master is still working from 2015 used every day-ish in the office. No issues except I once had to pull it apart to fix the thumb button. Still only charge it once a month.

I do use a rechargeable AA in the Triathlon.

    • +11

Using AAs is great. So much easier to replace (and you can use an Eneloop) than sourcing a replacement Lipo cell of the correct size, cracking open the mouse, and jamming the new on in. I kinda hate Lipos being built into everything- really shortens the lifespan of the product.

Which reminds me, I have to go and source a replacement lipo for my MX anywhere, which is dying.

All my other mice are either Logitech AAs or corded.

  • Any feedback to whether the rubber becomes sticky over time?

    • +2

      It doesn't

    • Mine hasn't but I don't use piggy hands with my mouse

    • 2 years of daily use, nothing and still going strong

    • +1

It doesnt become sticky, but the rubber does wear out (discolouration). I've used mine for ~1 year wfh ~7.5 hours a day.

    • +3

I’ve used mine for over 2 years, full-time at work (8h/day), and it isn’t sticky yet…but showing signs of wear. As long as you keep your hands clean-ish, it should last.

    • -1

had mine since july 2017. not sticky at all. kept mine clean by wiping it down regularly.

    • +1

Definitely does… I've had two of them turn sticky over time.

  • Great mouse

  • Love this great mouse

  • Is the camel hump smaller then MX Master ? I have MX Master and my wrist hurts by using it.

    • +1

I find that using mousepad with Gel wrist support helps.

      • or a thick cloth mouse pad like the steel series qck heavy (6mm)

  • Got one as spare. Thanks, OP

  • I've had this for a few years and love it. Infinite scroll is great too.

  • I have one at home and it is excellent mouse. Just bought 1 to put it in my bag for work in the office.

  • +1

Already got Logitech MX Master 2 from years ago which has been fantastic. How does this compare to Logitech MX Master 2?

    • +1

      It's worse.

      • Cheers for the reply

    • +1

It's smaller and less comfortable. I have one at work, and an MX master at home, and my issue with this is due to its small size, and the positioning of the button to cycle through the modes, I constantly accidentally press the button.

      • Cheers for the reply. I will keep it in mind that it is rather small.

  • Bought 1, now I have 3 collection

Mx Master 3, Mx Anywhere and now this Triathlon

    • G305, G403, 2x Triathlon, 2x Mx Master 2, Mx Anywhere.
Best for on the go and multi device is the Triathlon. The change device button is on the side, not underneath like on the Masters and it is tough. Have dropped down stairs and onto hard floors and they survive with minimal damage.

  • Does this mouse allow to go back and forward with the scroll wheel in internet browsers ? If not are there any suggestions on other logitech mice ?

    • +3

It has extra thumb buttons to do that, you can configure them to do custom actions with logitech software.

    • I want to know too

  • +1

got the razer one earlier this week. way better then this imo. i only use it for work and has a dongle or u can use it with BT

    • What razer model? I need one for a work laptop, something light, slim so I can put inside my laptop bag comfortably, and long lasting

      • For on the go mouse, tries Razer Pro Click Mini.

    • Why is it way better?

      • Generally, Logitech makes high quality boringly reliable stuff. Razer makes shit that breaks the second you look at it funny.

  • I can't do Click and Collect, it keep coming back to the "Your cart has changed. Please re-select a shipping option."

  • could you use these for gaming or nah

    • -1

hell no. too heavy and not responsive enough

  • I have this and it's great. I think I paid $56 for it a couple of months ago.

Haven't figured out what the dongle is for, since there are virtually no devices without Bluetooth these days.

    • +3

The dongle is lower latency than Bluetooth, some people do care.

      • +1

        That's good information, thanks.

        • It also 'just works' with that dongle, plug, play, go. Sometimes bluetooth sync I find is nasty.

          • @hamwhisperer: Fair enough, I've never had an issue though.

            • @elektron: Yeah I have had nothing but trouble with Bluetooth keyboards and mouse with windows, from delays in waking to just general drop outs. A separate dongle is easier.

              • @witheredcouch: Could it be your laptop's Bluetooth adaptor? I'm using this mouse with 3 devices from different brands via Bluetooth at the moment, and have not had a single issue.

                • @elektron: I use mine in lots of different locations and I find, in some places, the BT drops in and out constantly. But in most places it's completely solid. I wonder if it's something to do with frequency congestion or something in those areas.

                  • @wombat81: Yes, that's normally the main reason for flaky bt or wi-fi.

  • Ok looks like I might be the odd one out here.

I have this mouse but stopped using it because it's kinda heavy.

    • +1

I'm gonna guess you play very fast FPS games with lots of movement?

I have tiny little hands, girly sized wrists and I've never found it heavy.

  • the blurb says 8 customizable buttons - I want a thumb button to close the current browser tab - does anyone know if this is an option in the Logitech software ?

I currently use a Logitech M185 which I setup with the Logi Options+ software for the middle wheel to close the current window with keyboard shortcut Ctrl-W - but found that the wheel is so hard to press that I quickly got a sharp pain between my thumb and forefinger after using that for one day - so I'd prefer a thumb button but haven't found it in the specs, and wasn't able to set that up for an older Logitech Performance MX mouse even though it has several thumb buttons.

    Anyone know ?

  • 'How's this? Does that help? (Tested, closed a tab with the middle left thumb button)'

    Thank You !

JBHiFi looks like $44 in store - https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/logitech-m720-triathlon-m…

which I'm happy to pony up if it can do that, so next time ima try that - ta !

[EDIT] second thought - I read it's BlueTooth which my old laptop doesn't work - my M185 uses a USB dongle receiver - does this come with a USB plug ? If BlueTooth only maybe I can't use it - like to old Performance MX I also have but can't use. … later - reading another review on the JB page it says it came with the dongle - so touch wood it's good for me.

    • This comes with a dongle also.

      • +1

        OK thanks again

  • Picked mine up yesterday. It's bigger than the mx anywhere but smaller than the MX Master

  • Just wanted to say this is fabulous, very happy with this purchase!

Now to find a good pouch thing to keep it in when it gets chucked into my bag (like to keep everything in great condition hehe)
