I bought one of these after having no Windows machine for about 10 years, I’ve had it a week. I love it 🥰 . Case quality is nice and the build is tidy.

      Will you propose?

      • +1

He's already married. Let's see how long that marriage lasts.

        • You never know. Sometimes cheap systems can last a really long time.

        • +1

get the missus a gaming PC as well = game together = happy marriage

          • +1

@fedaykin: until you keep destroying her… then it turns into normal marriage/divorce

    • What were you using? MacOS/Linux?

    • Scroll down for a better deal by BPC Tech

      • Yeah their $888 is great but even better value if you upgrade from the 3060ti to 4700 $500

  • +4

Thats a very nicely balanced build sans the 480 Drive, 1TB entry level nvme would be nice to have instead.

  • Hey all, current pic died last week ( won't boot bios ), have some 3.5 HDD, if I got this can they be fitted easily to this PC?

    • The default case will only take 1 x 3.5” hdd - the Mai mag force case upgrade appears to fit 2

If that’s all you want to out in, it should be easy to fit

  • +1

Oh sweet as, thanks for that. Do you think there will be better deals for around $1k coming out with eofy happening shortly, or pull trigger or wait?

    • +2

What’s your use case for the PC? If it’s just basic stuff, work and nothing that really requires any graphical horsepower like gaming or editing, then you have mannnny options for a lot cheaper than 1k.

      • Not the person who asked the question - but I’m looking for the same info. Gaming and home use but without going insane - my monitor won support 4K any way. Some light 3d modelling - lego stud.io for my kid and simple 3d printing projects.

I could go to $1500 for a GREAT deal but a grand delivered to Melbourne would be nicer - I have another device for running work software and home server duties - second box would be a life support for a better video card than the Radeon 570 in my current PC

Debating just upgrading my current video card. Price of the card vs thr PCs I’m looking at with the same card are scary close

I think for what you describe you need it for, this is a good deal. The 3060ti is a pretty decent card that I used for a couple of years for a similar workload to what you describe. If you already have something similar in specs to this build, you could always look into buying a second hand GPU from eBay. A second hand 3060ti goes for around $350-$400 if you want to keep costs low. If you want to get the best bang for buck and can spend a bit more, I would hold off as there will be better deals around the corner. Especially with EOFY coming up.

This is still a slightly better GPU than the RTX4060 will be.

    • +2

      hahahaha imagine it's still 8gb

      • +1

It is, even the base 4060ti is

        • Oh wow really ? I wonder why, I’d assume a bigger percentage of the card would go to R/D but still seems a bit ridiculous

I need some advise which one do I have to choose
I will use for racing game as wheel ex) forza, wrc, etc

    1. This pc or higher option

    2. Xbox x series

    And I have dell 27" 4k

    Do I need to upgrade?

    • What racing games are you playing?

      • Forza granturismo wrc I will

        • GT is only available on playstation

    • +1

      It comes down to:

      1. Is it for gaming and entertainment only? Not for Web browsing, work? Boss (i.e. wife) will approve a pure gaming device?
      2. Is getting more fps very important?
      3. Do you care about Ultra HD blu-ray movies (if yes, do you already have a standalone UHD blu-ray player)? Series X does include an UHD blu-ray player. For AMD based system, playing UHD discs is a huge pain (not to mention cases nowadays don't support 5 1/4" drives. Intel based system is still quite painful too.
      4. Does your current driving wheel work for both PC and Series X?
      5. Do you have a 4K TV?
      6. Do you have a collection of XBox 360, XBox One or Series S|X games? If not, are you willing to pay for GamePass or GamePass Ultimate? Microsoft has decided to stop the $1/month new user offer so it is no longer super duper cheap with new user hack (or elapsed user hack which M$ may or may not offer).

Dell 27 inch 4K, even if it supports HDR, isn't great for 4K. No 27 inch 4K display is that great for 4K (too small).

    • Definitely is

    • Yes, better CPU and even the cheapest B550 board with PCIe gen 4 support is way better than A320 board.

That B550 board even has 2 m.2 slots. The m.2 SSD in BPCTech package is better than 480GB SATA SSD coz. if that 480GB SATA SSD is Kingston A400, then that's a QLC SSD. The sustained write speed of that SSD is horrible (can drop to 30MB/s write).

    • What are peoples thoughts on choosing the $49 upgrade for the 3060ti to the G6X vram version? From what I can tell it probably wouldn't hurt.

      • I didn't even know there was a gddr6x version until you said so. From the benchmarks I've found it's definitely not worth it, only 1-2% faster at best, you will not notice the difference between 80 and 82 fps in a game.

Just classic nvidia repackaging old stock.

    • Can anyone advise if a PCIe wifi card fit?

the motherboard of techfast says "A Second PCIE Device (E.G. Network Card) Will Not Fit."

  • Just the graphics card will cost you upwards of $500.

This is a good deal in my eyes, but I agree the above is better.

y u tempt me like this i'm trying to save up for a mortgage and need to eat

    • +6

I have mortgage and I am hungry, don't recommend.

  • I want the components but have no interest in the case, any deals for that?

    • Why not buy it and take it out of the case? If you buy it individually it will be more expensive.

  • what desktop pc do I need for insta360 video export, it take too long to export h264 videos with i5 1135G7 and12gb ram laptop

  • Got a budget of around $1K

Will be used for a combination of Work (not overly strenuous, PPT, Excel, MySQL) ,
& Gaming (Care more about being able to run games smoothly than running them on full ultra HD),
    & Entertainment (web browsing/multi-tasking etc.)

Ideally will last at least ~3-4 years before I need an upgrade.

How does this deal compare vs these two at a similar price point

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/774098 (the special/value editions)

    &

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/774522

From my very basic knowledge, the BPC deal is probably the best value? but seems like a lot of users have had a poor customer experience.

  • Specs looks good on paper, but tbh the sales support and shipping has gone downhill over recent months. I would rather build a system by myself or purchase from reputed dealers like aftershock, mwave, scorptec etc.,

  • Can this play dead space or cyberpunk? In highest reso? Smoothly sorry have not bought a PC since 1998 Only few laptops and netbooks, so these don't come with pre installed windows? I remember buying one of those towers ages ago from Chinese shops which they have windows installed already, I'm confused

  • You probably won't receive this until the end of the financial year so best to wait.

  • 8GB VRAM yeah nah

  • Is this real finished? The code isn’t working
