Did my first TCB withdrawal recently. Approvals seems to be quicker than SB or CR.

    • +5

A pity their responses to missing cashback claims is not as quick.

      • +5

Hi @beastontheroad, with claims, we rely on the retailers to review them which is why they tend to take slightly longer to get confirmed. Please feel free to drop me a DM with the email address you used to sign up and I can see if there is any update on your transaction.

        • +2

Also concerned about failed tracking and lack of follow up.

          • +1

@chyawala: Hey @chyawala, thanks for dropping us a DM. We'll look into this for you.

          • @chyawala: @chyawala. What is the meaning of the name plz.

            • @rehan770: It is actually a misspelt chaiwala, as I jokingly identified as a tea boy.

        • Thanks, will do.

    • +3

Still waiting for approval on the previous nordvpn deal…

      Edit: I think it's this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/766169

      • How quick did your NordVPN get tracked? Did they track after tax amount?

        • +1

Yeah, I think it's after tax amount. It's got $121.47 pending (it says the purchase was $125.23, but I got billed $141.98).

Took a few hours to track I think.

      • Hi @BarneyKB, NordVPN typically take around 2 -3 months to confirm cashback as they need to factor in their returns policy. So I'd expect your cashback to get confirmed within the upcoming weeks.

      • +1

        Me too.
Only ended up getting about 25% back.
Quite happy with the product, but I would only buy this is your want NordVPN for somewhere close to full price.

      • Same here. Nothing.

    • Coz far less customers to deal with. What happened to Cheddar?

      • Almost all my Cheddar purchases never tracked. Tho this was early days and tracking got better, but now shop’s closed.

      • Cheddar shut down because CBA (parent company) stopped funding them. it sounded like it was bleeding money.

      • +2

Shut down and magically all my shit got approved, even ones which shouldnt have been lol

  • +1

I've never heard of TCB. Anyone else have experience with them?

    • +1

used them a while back in the UK, they used to be reliable.

    • +3

Hi @Guybrush57 Welcome to TCB :) As @nitroeagle mentioned, we first started in the UK back in 2005, and every since then have launched in 5 other countries. We’ve only just recently launched in Australia and we're looking forward to Ozzies joining the rest of our 22 million members to earn cashback with us!

  • Got my first payout, took 24hrs so very fast compared to the rest. However, their tracking to confirmed to redeemed process took a lot longer than others

    • @radicalvin, yay, glad we helped you save some money on your purchase!

    • I have not received my cashback until now, still waiting for it from 21st of May 2023. @TopCashback AU Rep

      • Hi @HUWA please can you DM with the email address you signed up with so that we can investigate further for you?

  • +1

Im wondering how they make their money if they giving it for free, im sure the incentives comes from NordVPN.

    • +4

Hey @cocomelon, our aim is to help people as much money as they can so we actually give all the commission that retailers pay us to our members as cashback. We keep ourselves sustainable by selling advertising spaces and sponsorships

      • +2

        and our data?

        • +7

          at least they pay u
you're probably already whoring your data out for free in many ways

          • +1

@echelon6: Hi @XCelR8 and @echelon6, we never sell our members' data to any third parties. If you do have any further questions on how we use your data, please feel free to drop me a DM :)

    • Automated Renewals…. 2years is a long time Incase you forget to cancel

      • +1

With any automated renewal deal, you can almost always cancel immediately after purchase and still get to use it until the paid period runs out. Or alternatively set a reminder on your phone to remind you to cancel in 1 year and 364 days. I use Siri to do this and it’s super easy.

        • Enough people forget to though which makes these deals viable.

  • How long is the vpn subscription for ? Can’t See details without logging in

    • Buy NordVPN’s 2-year plan + 3 months with 63% off
      $88.83 USD

      • Hi, I saw it is $118.50 with 10% tax of Australia. Am I missing something? Thanks

  • Does changing the tax country invalidates the cashback?

    • @TopCashback AU Rep

      • +4

Hey @HardQuiz, you should still be eligible for cashback.

  • +2

How do you become a new user.
Is it just new email address?

  • Bought a 2 year plan with an email address but when installed and signed it doesn’t recognise my plan?

  • +1

Any particular country I should change to so as to avoid the tax?

    • +4

      Bahrain

      • Cheers

      • Does it have to be Bahrain or can we select other countries?

        • You can trial and error countries until you find $0 tax one

        • Qatar

  • @TopCashback AU Rep - does 100% cashback apply to all NordVPN plans (including NordVPN Complete Plan)?

    • Hi @aperio, yes it should apply to all NordVPN plans, just as long as you sign up as a new member.

  • If I buy "complete" NordVPN’s 2-year plan + 3 months with 63% off
    $161.73 USD,
Will I still get 100% cash back?

    • @TopCashback AU Rep your thoughts please!

      • I just did this and my cashback tracked within an hour.

However, note I used AUSTRALIA as the country of tax, and the cashback excludes GST. I paid $142 and the cashback tracked as $125.

        • Hi @bussy247, yes it should apply to all NordVPN plans, just as long as you sign up as a new member.

          • @TopCashback AU Rep: Just got the complete plan for 161 usd. Lets see if 100% gets tracked

            • +1

@shuubeen7: Just got it tracked. Can confirm it only covers for vpn. So around AUD 127.95.
Get the vpn only plan if you are looking for a 100% cashback (which everyone of us are)

    • Usually it's just the base plan.

  • Hope this applies to the Complete Plan

  • Can get my head around it.

Can someone shows us how to purchase with max cashback dont want to spend money on VPN but 100% means for free.

  • It’s quite difficult to figure out if it has registered or not. I contacted them for a missing claim and they got back to me after I contacted customer service so that’s great. Wish they had an extension like Cashrewards or shopback so I’d know if it’s gonna track or not

  • +1

Paid AUD 129.07 for 2 year plan. Hopefully it gets tracked.🤞🏼

    • +1

      wow already tracked for $125.2

      • Does the plan matter?
        Standard 107.73
        Plus 140.13
        Complete 180.63
        Are they all in USD?

        • +2

Cashback is available on the VPN service only.

So those extras included in plus and complete plans won’t be eligible. Just sign up the standard one.

        • But the standard plan should be USD 88.83 without tax. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13773238/redir

  • How long will this last, I'll probs get it in a coupl days !

    • -1

The offer for 2 years and 3 months ends at midnight

  • Tracked quickly for me. (Minus the tax)

  • +2

    Thanks, worked like a charm
    Receipt details:
    129.07/2 year nord
    -12.91 gst

    141.9 total

    Cashback of 125.20 received
    Total paid: 141.9 - 125.20 = 16.7

    Thats beautiful offer 😍❤️
    Thanks author.

    • +1

      Same as me. 🤗

    • -2

      $141.9? Lame lol
Maybe you used a CC with international transaction fee. I paid $129 so all up only $4 for the 2yrs.

      • Not international cc.
        I used my aussie cc.

        • -2

Get yourself a card the doesn't charge insanely huge fees. You paid too much for the VPN.

  • My total was about $127, but my cc was charged $235! Wot?!

  • I was charged $156.53 so its incosistent with what eveyone is being charged.

    • No it's not, you probably didn't purchase the standard plan.

    • Same, used only standard plan

@TopCashback AU Rep: Is it still covered?

  • -2

Considering you can get a VPN for free why pay for this rubbish?

    • Which do you recommend?

      • -1

You asked… You shall receive. ;)
        free vpn

        • +2

Lol free vpn thats tracked by google

          • @easternculture: Not what Google claims: Google will never use the VPN connection to track, log or sell your browsing activity

And you will never know if you got tracked by Nord

    • +1

I always have Google VPN connected on my phone - almost the same speed as normal - and on PC got connection issues half the time. But with Nord you can choose a server to stream/buy things from other countries. And with 100% cashback why not

Edit: Google VPN requires Google One and is not free

  • @Storerep - does changing country to Bahrain make cashback invalid or do we still receive 100% back?

  • Is using Paypal still tracked?
So if I change the country to some tax-free one, will get cashback equivalent of $AUD if I pay $USD by Paypal ?

    • @TopCashback AU Rep

      • Hey @SaberXLancer using Paypal as a payment method shouldn't affect your cashback.

    • Can't see even PayPal option

  • +1

How long does it take to show that the purchase was tracked?

    • Hey @Kmen44 it can take up to 7 days for a transaction to track. But if it still hasn't tracked after this period, please do submit in a claim and we can take a look into it for you.

  • All their servers show up as the wrong IP locations and lots of sites (even google) block some of the servers.

    • Im still using my free cyberghost vpn from a few year back. Still have about 10 months left. Find them very good for streaming

      • I just use a Google cloud server to route traffic through now via OpenVPN

End up with lower ping due to google having superior routing to ISPs

        • I would say Google also has more servers?
