Ramset 18V Combo Kit: Drill, Driver and Angle Grinder, 6.0Ah Li-ion Cordless Brushless 3 Piece $549 Shipped @ SydneyTools

90

This looks like a good deal for some quality tools. I assume these are clearance. I think the Ramset tools have Bosch blue internals? Rebadged or reskinned or something.

Important details
Hammer drill with 13mm chuck, good torque and kickback control.
Impact driver/impact wrench supports hex bits and 1/2in sockets.
125mm grinder with soft start, kickback control and braked stop.

    From their About us page

Proudly manufacturing in Australia and committed to excellence, Ramset™ has been developing, manufacturing, and supplying the building and construction industry with quality anchoring, bracing, drilling and fixing solutions for 70 years. Started in Australia. Still in Australia. Staying in Australia.

Wonder if these are made/assembled in Australia?

    • made in Australia.. I wonder how good these are…

BTW, no matter how good, there's no way to justify it's RRP at $1299… NO WAY

        Wages?

  • Doesn't seem that cheap for Bosch Blue.
    Not terrible, but a bargain?

    • +1

at 3.6 roentgen, it's not great.

    • The Bosch kits usually come with 5A batteries. This has 6A batteries and the better charger.

    • RRP is pretty ambitious for sure, but these have better specs than you would usually get for the standard $300 drill and driver combo for instance. Same with the grinder, slow start etc.

  • Support Australian Made, Support Holden

    • Where does it say that these are Australian made? Note that posting a generic paragraph from their 'about us' page doesn't count.

      • i think the Holden bit gave away that he was being sarcastic

and ironically heaps of Holdens were made in Korea etc

these Ramset tools are made in china… if they were made here wouldnt they have put "MADE IN AUSTRALIA" and the kangaroo green logo everywhere?

        stands to reason

There's no way these are Australian made… Nothing is manufactured here anymore

  • Bit of a random brand in the power tools space.

Fine to buy ramset you want a ramset bolt to mount into concrete or brick but Aldi gear at least has a few things like a chainsaw that you can use the batteries for.

    • +1

These are rebadged Bosch blue tools, completely identical except for the colour, so they’re compatible with all the 18V Bosch pro range tools and batteries.

      • I can't read the description :(
