eh look, PCpartpicker comes down to about $120 over, but you get like a free shitty mouse and mousepad + they build the mf for u + any upgrades you also get 10% off

personally i played around with the kraken power 4070 one and got a solid build for 1552

please don't cry about VRAM in comments 💀, it's great for 1080p Ultra, solid for 1440p Mid-High and it's pretty budget

    cries in vram
    Solid deal tho

      Minimum 10gb VRAM these days…..

Or the TechFast 4070 build at 1388$ is also better. Ofc processing time and customer support from TF kinda bad recently but BPCTech is not that great either

      170 dollars more for:
      less ram (unknown brand)
only <10% increase in performance (admittedly better vram so if you're editing/rendering go for that) (but unknown brand)
      worse mobo
      worse power supply (unkown brand)
      no free shit

I can see where you're getting at, but i think overall it levels out tbh

<10% Increase in performance? Most of the game showing 10% diff at least, if not 20% or more. About the unknown brand, it's more like they don't offer exact 1 model but you can always ask them to know which brand you may end up with. Not to mention you get 1TB ssd in TF build instead of 512GB here.
The this to consider here is the ram, power supply different and freebies. If you are really in a situation needing 32gb RAM more than 12gb gpu vram then go for this deal, tho I think ppl prefer the latter. Freebies are always nice but only if you are using it, if you have plenty of peripherals then it will collect dust at most. 650W and 700W is relatively the same, so unless TF give you a really shit brand PSU (which you can always ask) then no different at all

i think you are looking at either 3070 vs 4070, or 3070ti vs 4070ti… for 3070ti -> 4070 its prolly ~10% correct me if I'm still wrong

@jokerr27: Check the Tom's Hardware GPU list: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
            For raw performance with 4090 as 100%, the % of 4070 vs 3070Ti: 81.5/69.8 at 1080 ultra, 93/85.1 at 1080 medium, 69.1/59.1 at 1440p ultra and 50.2/41.8 at 4k ultra.
With RT performance it will be: 60.7/50.1 at 1080 medium, 52.3/42.1 at 1080p ultra, 46.3/37 at 1440p ultra (no 4k comparison since 3070ti struggle to get over 30fps).
Do some math and besides 1080 medium, every other settings always result in more than 10% different, with 4k ultra RT the difference is 25%. And I don't think anyone buy a 1k2 system to play 1080p medium lol.

      • Unknown brand is irrelevant for everything besides the psu.

HP make junk mice+mousepads, calling it a freebie when it might as well be ewaste when there's a million options in the mice/mousepad that are better. Then again this is ozbargain after all, people play on kmart mousepads.

what does this title price "$1349 ($1214)" mean?

    • +1

      1349*0.9 because of 10% discount) = 1214

  • 1080p PC

playing The Last Of Us p.1 on 3070 in 4k with DLSS Performance

fits just fine. but yeah, 8gb is for older games really

I wouldn't be playing TLOU p.1 unless I got it free with RX 6700 I sold on (because of loud, annoying coil whine)

    Any upcoming deals on pcs?

  • The pc10 code doesn’t seem to work anymore, if this is no longer current can it be marked as expired?
