Theres no way this should still be $99…

  • i think i got 2 for 98 from telstra before

  • +2

Not sure if something wrong with me but i paid $59 years back

    • Yep I got two in the past 18mths, $59 & $69.

But the Amazon Show 8 for $88 was a better deal. The sound is much much much better. Its not laggy, it has facial recognition. Amazon parcel alerts.

Now Google.is screwing over some developers so their apps won't connect soon (OurGroceries is our shopping list, is about to stop working for voice commands, no more Hey Google tell Our groceries to add milk, bread, ice cream).

Nothing against OP, but the Nest Hub gen 2 is a laggy mess.

    • I dont get that with mine
what i find the most stupid is Google Assistance itself to be Dumb

      • Alexa is not much better

      • +1

Google Assistant has certainly gotten worse over the past 5 years. It used to actually do things. Now all it does is "I'm sorry, I didn't get that" or "Playing <unrelated song>"

        • +1

Or "I'm sorry I didn't understand" and "I don't know the answer to that" despite it being the first result in a Google search. It went from being genuinely impressive to total crap, and I'm damned if it doesn't seem deliberate so google can justify killing it off in a year or so.

  • +1

Its fallen behind in updates, becoming slower and losing features.

    • Yeah this… Isn't a deal. At all.

  • Not having a go at OP or anyone but Telstra store pricing is total BS. Especially when you redeem your points for items, those items still have their original prices when they were first released. Such a rip off.

They rarely have good stuff worth buying/claiming.

  • It was $59 last week on eBay wasn't it?
