$10 off $100 Spend @ Coles (App Only)

1300
APP10

Here's an easy $10 discount on your next $100 Coles shop, and an offer that isn't targeted!
The code can be used multiple times as well for 10% off orders split into $100!

Offer valid on any qualifying order placed until 11:59pm AEST 20 June 2023. (Using the Coles App)

I can't tell from the terms if this offer is valid once per account, so hopefully it can be used on more than one order!
Confirmed to work more than once! Thanks @deb3103

  • Is this for purchases of items available on the app only?

    • Seems to be for a regular grocery shop. Terms only state:

Excludes Coles Best Buys Online Exclusive, Doordash and UberEats purchases

      • Right. So this app is not like the Flybuys app where you buy anything in-store and scan the app in-store.

Is there a pick-up option available on the app please?

        • +1

You'll be able to make an order for click and collect / direct to boot if you want to pick up. I'm honestly not sure how the in-store use of the app would work sorry. As long as you place the order through the app, the code can be applied.

Thanks that came in handy as i used the coles app for the first time today. I was with woolies but they're shafting me on the delivery cost.
    Woolies = from $16
    Coles =from $2

    • Agreed, $2 delivery is great compared to Woolies. Let me know if you can use the code again on your next order (hopefully it's not single use)

    • +2

Yea, since Woolies install camera in front of the automated check-out machine, I prefer Coles now (yes, I know Coles might have cameras everywhere too), but having camera profiling you in front of your face, somehow I feel iffy….

    • +1

Agreed, we moved to Coles for the delivery.

      • how u get $2 deliveries ?

        • +2

If you look for slots 1 or 2 days ahead there is normally 1 or 2 $2 delivery slots available. Normally the delivery time range is quite large though 6am-12pm, etc.

  • +1

Wish they would cut out all the promo codes, cut their prices instead and help get the RBA off our backs.

  • +2

On the day of delivery/payment, if items are OOS or if replacements add up being cheaper, your order might not meet $100 and you won't get the discount.

    A previous comment I left regarding this - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13378940/redir

Had a similar thing happen with a Coles order last year with an offer of save $20 on an order over $X.

So many things were out of stock that I ended up around $30 short of reaching the offer amount, and I had to pay $9 of shipping on top as it'd put me under the free shipping threshold.

That was the last straw of many other issues with Coles online shopping (for both delivery and collect orders) and I ended up asking them to delete my account.

With Flybuys (not sure if this Coles offer), they will honour points/cash on any shop that doesn’t meet the threshold due to being out of stock up to $30.

Eg if you have a shop $210 a week for four weeks to get 20,000 points, they will still pay if an online order for $210+ ends up being between $180 and $209.99 due to items being out of stock.

You just have to call them up and explain items were out of stock and most times they don’t even ask for a copy of the order - they just check their system to see if the final total was within $30 of the offer target and then process it.

I have done it about six times now (all legit claims).

That's good to know for Flybuys offers. I did call them up regarding my order and they said they didn't have the same leeway for Coles online offers and I couldn't be bothered fighting it after other ongoing issues like sad produce quality. The Coles stores in my area were a bit older and generally understaffed so that might be why.

I did get some free wraps once that were mistakenly added to my order though! I stick with Woolies direct-to-boot orders, local grocers, and the occasional in-person Coles shop for Flybuys and weekly specials now.

      • Thanks for the info, I've always wondered this

    • +3

I can confirm Maltopia's comment: For "Spend X, get Y bonus points" offers, just phone Flybuys if out-of-stock items were responsible for your spending being below the threshold. I didn't know the limit was $30 below the threshold (thanks for that tip, Maltopia), but on previous occasions, I have phoned up and always got the bonus points even though I spent below the amount because of OOS items.

Can confirm also stacks with the 20% off all alcohol!☺️

    Aldi still cheaper

There are other convenience and variety factors.

I find it easier to browse and order on my computer. If I add items to the cart through my computer's web browser, but then complete & pay via the app (and use the coupon code), will that count as using the app?

    • +1

Thats what I was going to do as well. The good thing is you'll know if it works before placing the order, unlike a Cashback purchase ;)

  • how to reach the $100 hmmm?

  • +1

Worked for me on the normal website too!

    • What? You mean you didn't even need to finish the order/pay using the app? You just used the website?

  • Here's an easy 10% discount on your next $100 Coles shop, and an offer that isn't targeted!

    I think you mean $10

  • +2

I can confirm the $10 off works on the website , stacks with alcohol and can be used multiple times , I've just done 2 orders split

    • Thanks for confirming!

    • whatchu mean "split?

      • Instead of a $200+ order, making two $100 orders so you can apply the code twice

  • +1

Will it work on gift card?

  • Cheers

  • Does it stack with that dollar off for shopping x dollars for 4 weeks offer?

    • If I remember correctly it does, it will register the amount before all discounts🙂

  • 1st time using the App. Paypal payment method was showing on my Account, which was fine, but I didn't get a step for the option of which linked Paypal account it would debit. I was planning on using Coles MC Debit Card. Order cancelled and re-done, but nervous!

  • Strange, I have Coles Plus so delivery should be free. Using the app for the first time for this, but on checkout it wants to charge me $11 delivery. Anyone had this problem?
$11 delivery and $10 discount I lose $1 by using the app XD

  • A good offer, but that's the last time that I will use Coles online. I placed a 'Click n Collect' order and in hindsight I should have ticked 'no substitutes'.
They replaced a low 'per unit' price bulk item with a small pack with a high 'per unit' price. I returned it on the spot but they couldn't refund on the spot. Meanwhile I saw the bulk item sitting on the shelf!
They gave me a phone number but you don't get to speak to someone - just an SMS text message linking to a 'chat' (I assume outsourced overseas).
And so I had to type a slow chat on my mobile. The first chat cut out, and so I had to repeat it. The 2nd chat said that the replacement item had already been refunded.
4 days later, and still no refund has been received.

    • +1

Refunds can take some time, about a week for me on a credit card. No email received. In another order, pending charge on my debit card took 3 weeks to drop off.
Good offer but I didn't use it due to similar out of stock hassles in the past (substitutes or not). Same with Woolworths. I had gone into the stores and checked that stock was available but staff didn't see the stock when I ordered online for the discount.

    • Yea same experience here Coles team dont budge exchanging or returning online orders to instore orders.

BUT they can somehow replace/refund/exchange items without receipt yeah (talking about coles branded items that say try it, love it or money back) ?? Clearly just Coles mindset
