  • what are the chances of Cashrewards/Shopback include $20 cashback with this code?

    • Unless CR include this code on their launch page it will be invalid and rejected in theory.

    • @tightarse @gotyourback Who’s first?

      • +5

Sorry. Already reached out to Boost and been advised they would not be paying commission to cashback partners on use of this code.

  • Anyone know if this is sent via email or posted?

    • +1

I had a Boost SIM posted , took ~5 days

    • +1

Not an esim so in the post.

  • CAN not use this as recharge right?

    • +1

Depends on the customer service that you get in contact with. Hit and miss.

      • Boost plans are changing from 4th July, $200 going up to $230, wondering if this can be used later in the year to recharge the current plan.

  • -1

Can I buy this now and recharge using it at the end of the year?

  • Can I transfer my existing number across to use with this?

    • if it's not with boost already then yes, if it's with boost you can port out to a different provider for a bit then port back in…

Website says $170 for 140GB 12 month plan and you can get $20 cashback through cashrewards and $22 via shopback as no code required (new customers only, sale ends 30 June). What am I missing?

    • +3

After cashback you'd only pay $148 (shopback) or $150 (cashrewards).

      • With shop back do you need to recharge within 31 days to get the money?

    • Agree with you.
Only thing one needs to take notice of is you need to activate within 30 days if buying through CR (temp unavailable) or SB

  • can anyone confirm what will happen if activated after July 3rd if even possible.
My speculation is that the inclusive data will be 130GB instead of the 140GB, i'm happy with that if that's that case and it can still be activated after the 3rd

  • Getting error when I enter the promo code during checkout.

The promo code ENT35 is not compatible with items in your cart

    • Never mind, have to use the link shared above in order to get $35 off.

  • Cheers OP. Will use this to port back into Boost when my current $150 plan expires in August.

Was going to use the Kogan $2 SIM to port out to but seems that needs to be used before 31st July, so hopefully a decent cheap SIM becomes available that I can use in August.

    • My current plan expires in Aug as well - I'm confused by the "Activate and first recharge by 3 July" mention, is this the expiry of the sim or just the expiry of the bonus 10gb of data?

I don't mind losing 10gb of bonus data to run down the old plan, but losing $150 is catastrophic 🙃

      • +1

It’s mentioned a few replies up that you can activate it after the 4th without issue! 👍🏻

        • One more consideration I came across, CR states sim needs to be activated within 30 days of ordering. Think I'll order at the end of the month as the promotion is about to expire to maximise my current plan and claim the $25 cashback

          • @ryano9: I haven't even bothered to take CR into considering with it all to be honest, but can see how it would influence some people!

      • Sim expiry on mine was April 2025:-)

Could try your luck with getting an Officeworks price beat. They might reject you because you have to enter a code on the checkout page but worth asking if you find a staff member who doesn't care to enforce all the details of their policy.

    • Worked for me tonight! Paid $156.75 :)

anyone else getting a Telstra error page when trying to purchase the $200 sim direct with CR?

  • +1

Getting a 'Too many attempts' error page when trying to checkout :(

  • Are there any standalone esim plans that you could use with your apple watch?
Boost doesn't support the esim thing for apple watch which is a pain
would be good if there was a $10/month or 365 day esim plan that i could use for just the apple watch and keep the phone separate but i've struggled to find any online
seems if you want the apple watch to have internet you need to pay $55+a month for a plan that has the esim apple watch addon

    • Only Telstra does this called one number.

      Annoying I know!

      • Nah thats the problem i am trying to avoid.
That is an add on to an existing telstra mobile plan.
Optus do the same thing you have a mobile plan and you 'add on' a $5/month charge or something
And it gives you an esim to use on your watch - but its all connnected to the same mobile plan.

I want to have a completely stand alone plan/account to use on the watch… ideally one that is cheap!

Doesn't seem like its possible anywhere

    • Use this with my children’s Apple Watches (https://go.truphone.com/plans/AU)… $10.99/month or $99/year

  • My Boost plan end 28 Jun

If I buy this one - Do I need to port out for a few days and port in again?

But it says I need to activate by 3 July isn't it? It is quite close to 28 Jun expiry - so what would be the best strategy for me? Is it ok if I port out to Lebara (for example) by 28 Jun and then activate & port in to Boost by 2 July?

  • "I need to activate by 3 July isn't it"

Only to get the 10GB bonus data. There is also apparently a one month cut-off for Cashback, but that, as with the plan changes due on the third, doesn't affect the validity and basic value [130GB] of this $200 plan attached to the SIM provided.

"If I see a SIM with an older price on the shelf, will it still work?
Yes, a SIM with the old price can still be activated and used before the expiry printed on the packaging."

"I bought a SIM kit or voucher before 4 July 2023. Can I activate it after 4 July 2023?
Yes, you will be able to redeem all SIMs and vouchers purchased before 4 July 2023 for the value at which you purchased them."
