This Mini PC is back on sale again and now it's the variant that includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. These 12th Gen CPU Mini PCs have had some popularity before. The CPU inside is the new Intel N95 (up to 30W) 4 core, 4 thread CPU that's better than the N5095/N5100/N5105 series CPUs with improved media playback and game emulation. Plus there's a small inbuilt fan to keep it running cool.

Since this is a low power PC it's good for general use or as a low power server for things like Plex/Jellyfin transcoding, Home Assistant, Docker, Grafana, PiHole, Video Surveillance and more.

The Mini PC has Windows 11 Pro out of the box with 16GB DDR4 SODIMM RAM, 512GB M.2 SATA SSD with spare 2.5" SATA slot, 2x HDMI 2.1 4K@60Hz, 1x VGA, Realtek 8821CE WiFi ac & Bluetooth 4.2, Realtek Gigabit Ethernet, 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm jack.

Good deal. The power of the processor looks roughly comparable to the quad core i5-8250u from 2018.
For reference, a second hand NUC mini pc with i5-4250U, 8gb ram & 120g SSD can be found on eBay for about $120 posted, roughly half the price of this. Though, they are almost 9 years old..I just pulled the trigger on one yesterday, otherwise would have considered this.

    • Yeah. The main advantage is that the cpu is new enough to "officially support" Windows 11.

Curious to see how this could be as a light desktop replacement

Also the more recent quicksync version for anyone using it as a plex server.

  • Ah, doesn't come with an AU plug. "American standard power supply, British standard power supply, European standard power supply, Japanese standard power supply."

    • I guess it’s not a big deal, unless it’s not standard it should be trivial to replace, otherwise would need an adapter

      • Yep not sure if it just needs a new figure 8 cable or not?

  • HEVC and AV1 support?

  • How does this compare to the AK2?

    • That's a US listing so I'm getting about A$331.96 at checkout. Otherwise the main difference is the better Intel N100 CPU and the loss of the VGA port.

  • Anyone ship out or get it yet? Looking to get a power adapter of the right type in time for its arrival.

    • Seems like the items may have hit Sydney but awaiting pickup

      • Got it today, came with an el cheapo adaptor so working from day 1

  • Just to be clear, you said "….512GB M.2 SATA SSD with spare 2.5" SATA slot" while the webpage states "512GB SATA SSD hard drive, you can expandable 2.5" hard drive (max 2TB) for M.2 2280 SATA SSD".

A 4 TB 2.5" SATA SSD will work fine right? The 2 TB limit is for the M.2 2280 SSD.

Correct. 4TB 2.5" SATA SSD is no problem.
