Even free I wouldn't put this virus on my computer willingly.

        • +1

Thats not what I heard on radio

    • What do you use instead?

      • Nothing. He is a cheapskate

      • Common sense and Windows Defender.

    Nice 200% cashback

    • 200%?

    • Should have gone to specsavers

  • +3

How is this company still in business? I don't know anyone stupid enough to install this virus on their PC.

    • +1

Why what's wrong with it exactly?

    • +1

      JV does.

  • They need to pay us to use it.

  • It says up to. Do we know which specific plan(s) are eligible for the 100% cashback? Also are we out of pocket on the GST component?

    • +1

Does it really matter? No one should buy it either way.

    • New customer

The only reason why anyone should ever buy this is to claim tax. Straight to the bin.

    • How? Are you going to pay tax on the cash back part?

      • You just give the invoice from norton.

  • +1

    No

  • -1

Not that I want to support the dumpster fire that is Norton…. however I'm tempted to get this specifically for the Dark Web Monitoring as I was one of the many affected by the Optus Data Breach

It's easier to subscribe to haveibeenpwned (for free). Otherwise, watch some YouTube s on how to install/use the onion browser and you can probably verify what data is out there yourself. Or even better, just assume that every detail that you ever share will eventually get hacked/leaked and live accordingly.

      • Yeah I decided against proceeding with the Norton deal, not worth it to be honest. Namely because it appears that the Dark Web Monitoring is just for your email address and nothing else which doesn't help much.

If it was 120%+ I'd do it just for the cashback without installing it.

    • Your data is only worth $1 or less @-@

  • I would participate if they pay me.
Being free is definitely not enough.

  • @gotyourback
Might be worth taking the above feedback back to your people @ ShopBack, I'm sure the Ozbargain community would jump on a 120%+ Norton cashback deal but everyone seems to be in agreeance that 100% cashback for Norton isn't enough.

Will pass it to the team that work with Norton as feedback, cheers for letting me know.
