Get ready to burn your fingers when you flip it!

    • …and your house if you hit a power/gas line in the wall :D

    • Wonder how many hours of drilling you do before inserting a screw into a pine board at home :-)

    I am AMAZED

  • Good idea, but the reviews are ordinary:

    http://www.amazon.com/Half-Time-Drill-HT011712/product-revie…

    • Lol. All the positive reviews sound like the script from the advert. Whatever happened to filtering reviews fairly? =/

      • haha, yeah pretty funny actually. The reviews are pretty much 1 star for real reviews and 5 stars for fake reviews. Pretty conclusive I would say.

        • +1

After reading those reviews this product is typical COTD quality.
Maximum profit for some other companies junk!

    • Because you restricted only to use there drill bit that fit the unit it will not last.
If it took standard drill bits probably cool but it doesn't so Im out.
Im sure they will charge like a kabillion dollars for replacements drill bits.

Its like the cheap printer but toners are mega $$$

  • WHY THE CAPS?

Drastically increasing the length of the bit to ruin stability. Burning fingers on hot drill bits.

How exactly does this solve any of the issues with an ordinary drill? :S I can't say changing bits has ever been that troublesome… if you're doing only drilling one hole then insert a screw, swapping them out once isn't so hard. If you're doing a lot of them… just drill all the holes, swap bit, then insert all the screws? :S

or a professional tradie would just have 2 drills?

Wow 8 deals posted (9 if you include grocery run deal) for COTD since about 3pm yesterday. This must be a record?

  • Wow. It's the dual saw (http://www.dualsaw.com/) of drills. If only Billy Mays was alive to see it….

    looks like junk

just because you said AMAZING doesn't mean it's not a JUNK

Last time COTD said in "Just Pay Shipping! (Everything's Free!)" (http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/Just_Pay_Shipping!(Everything's_Free!)-p-2699.html)
<<<EVERY ORDER FROM THIS SALE RECEIVES A FREE GIFT VALUED AT $25!>>>

Today I can see that FREE GIFT selling for $2 on their site…$25!?
    http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/smallfish_info.php?products_…

I can see that "COTD" will become a terms of misleading, dishonest and more in the future!
(e.g. Peter you are just COTD!!)

  • If CoTD are selling it, it is because somebody else (with a better returns policy) tried and failed.

Can't believe how blatent the fake reviews are at Amazon. The real reviews are scathing.

  • …..buy this, or buy another cordless drill if you know what you are doing.

  • I have this, bought from COTD, and the biggest problem is, after changing bits a few times, the bits keep falling out as there's not enough inside the holder to grab them. This makes it extremely hard to use as intended.

I wouldn't recommend this, unless it's real cheap, and you need some driver bits.

    a few small problems:
    - added bulk to the drill that's likely to become wonky and dangerous
    - cheap drill bits that will only work to drill things that can be drilled with self-tapping screws
    - standard drill bits struggle to not thread screws due to the additional length of things
    - the time taken to invert the device (coupled with the change in speed of your drill) isn't really worth while
    - a 2nd drill can be purchased for $8 more (30$ ozito corded drill works a treat)
    - if you're going to be drilling enough devices to justify this device, how could you not justify the 2nd drill?
