          • @CowFrogHorse: Can the cow make it simple for me and tell me how much to replace this laptop if you break it e.g. by spilling your drink on it when you have Applecare+ vs without. I'm sure the people who bought his laptop would be interested.

            • @cheng2008: @cheng

Do you really think AppleCare is going to give you a new laptop for almost no penalty because you dropped coffee on it ?

              • @CowFrogHorse: Why not answer the question since you've done the research?

                • @cheng2008: cheng: Why not answer the question since you've done the research?

cow: thats not how the world works. YOU made the claim its honour to provide the evidence.

If a scientist makes a claim about some new formula or technique, they have to provide detail writings of how to reproduce their claim. If the poilice claim someone comitted a crime, the POLICE has to provide the evidence, the chrarged person doesnt do their work.

                    nope, i asked you first.

cow: thats not how the world works. YOU made the claim its honour to provide the evidence.

Huh? I made the claim? All I did was ask a question, how much would it be to replace this laptop if you accidentally damage it with Applecare+ vs without. Pretty simple scenario. You were the one making claims like "Only a fool would buy Apple Care." Should be a simple answer then if it's foolish to buy applecare+.

I asked you several questions in my original post. Heres a clue search dfor the question marks.

cheng: All I did was ask a question, how much would it be to replace this laptop if you accidentally damage it with Applecare+ vs withou

cow: Considering im not an apple representative, and i cant point to an actual itemized example on apple.com.

You can call the damage an accident or act of god or anything, Apple doesnt care they are not your friend, what you call it. They pay kids in Asia minimum wage in shitty conditions so they do this to maximize profits. THey arent just going to give you a brand new lap top because you spilled coffee on it by mistake. You can be damn sure they will and have written lots of conditions into their forms and contracts that will make them not responsible, especially if you damage a laptop worth thousands.

    • Gone haha

  • I mean, it's a little crazy that a laptop costs more than most TVs.

Obviously there's more technology in the laptop, I'd be very curious to know the difference in manufacturing costs!

  • Question to those who got the 14” over the 16”.
What was the deciding factor to pick that? I would love to have the 14” for portability reasons, but realistically speaking 90% of the time it would be on my desk and even if on-the-go i’m hesitant to pick a smaller screen vs a bit of extra weight.
And yes, I know at the end of the day its more of a personal preference but I’m curious why others picked 14”.
    Thanks
