Because they want you to upgrade to the large model which is more profitable. Their prices for storage upgrades are hugely inflated over cost.
For me I run a few apps and then everything is on cloud storage thanks to another Oz bargain deal, extremely cheap Office 365 for a few years. so don't really run into issues.
This is pretty bad, get the air or better. Feels budget, maybe good for seniors and kids.
