Up to 10% Cashback at Amazon Australia (No Cap) @ ShopBack

3280

Hey all, Prime Day is finally upon us, and I know you're all going to be hunting for those Prime Day deals, so just wanted to make sure you're stacking Cashback on top to get an extra bit of value out of them. I'll get back to any comments of things I've missed here ASAP!

Do note, these rates can also be stacked with 5% Bonus Cashback via the Westpac Lounge, and Amazon have made a lot of categories that typically would not be stackable with the Westpac Lounge eligible for Cashback, so make sure you don't miss out on the extra 5% Cashback where possible).

Cheers all!

  • Nice one GYB

    Up to 10% Cashback

Please post the % for all categories. SB app still has the old % with highest being 7%

    • +2

Yeah looks like it's not quite updated onsite as yet, I've updated the deal with the rates I can see and will keep checking in to make sure all's aligned when the website updates.

  • +2

So, when does this start? I cant see the 10% updated.

  • +4

    Up to?

  • +3

Still waiting to see anything decent for sale

  • Its not updated to 10% yet

  • +4

    Cashrewards is up to 15%/$30 (15% Shoes, Handbags & Accessories | $30 cashback = 15% on $220 spend)

and why can't you add items to cart before going through ShopBack/Cashrewards, when TopCashback doesn't care?
    https://www.topcashback.com.au/amazon/

    • +5

Have you confirmed that with TopCashback? Or just assuming that because nothing is mentioned about items in cart in the T&Cs.

      • +1

        when TopCashback doesn't care?
        @tonester

Actually they do care, I checked yesterday. Cart needs to be empty.

Under/after the T&C they have another section called:

        What else is essential?

        Then this:

You must start with an empty basket before clicking through to the retailer

This is on TcB Amazon page.

  • will this (and the westpac bonus) work for items that are shipped and sold by Amazon Japan? i would think so?

  • shoesssss

  • Electronics 1.4%

  • +11

most 0% categories are now up to 1%…
Amazon AU used to have cashback like 12% all categories years back

  • +23

Misleading clickbait title. Should say 1% cashback most items in title.

    • +3

      Agreed.
The good stuff that we actually want / need to buy is at 1% (+ 5% Westpac).
This is why they haven't bothered with a cap on the base cashback.

  • +14

Haha it's always the shittest categories like Amazon devices.

  • westpac is per transaction right?

  • +5

    Mostly around 1%, very disappointing.

  • +6

    is that it? lol

    • i had the same reaction. this offer is a huge letdown

  • +5

Is this even a deal, the days of cash back rewards for Amazon is upon us

  • +3

This feels like clickbait no? If people had seen that table before upvoting, no way this would be at 140 and counting.

    • +1

Highlights the fact that ozb doesn’t only have smart members

  • -1

Cashback even if paid via gift card balance?

    • Yeah would also like to confirm. Couldn’t see anything about it? Can we use part payment?

      • +1

Yep, fully stackable with gift card payments mate for regular Cashback, if redeeming the Westpac Bonus Cashback you can use gift cards as a partial payment in combo with a Westpac card and redeem as well.

        • Cashback is available if I paid only by gift card balance? Thx

          • @hermann: The base rate yes, fully stackable with Cashback for regular Cashback.

  • +1

So over all of the fake products on Amazon. For example, searched Kate Spade handbags. Good discounts and it says the store is Kate Spade New York. Reviews say how cheap and marked the items are and items are often out of stock when Kate Spade New York is searched outside of Amazon. Buyer Beware!

  • +1

Oh so SB not categorise Kindle e-reader as Amazon Device.. guess i know where to go

    • Surely not. If you tick "amazon devices" on the Amazon website, all the kindles come up.

      • +1

Huh, says right there, Kindle Readers 0%. That's outrageous.

  • +2

It’s not all 10%, should say 1% for most categories, if that’s the case, why bother to buy today?

  • Does this work with 10PRIME shopback code and 5% Westpac cashback bonus? I couldn't see anything in the t and cs

    • Hey mate, that code isn't listed on the ShopBack website, any code entered into the coupon code section on the Amazon site is likely to invalidate Cashback which will also mean that the Westpac Bonus amount will be invalidated as well.

  • I assume it's still ok to apply a discount "voucher" via a check box (as opposed to an actual code)?

    • Yeah that should be fine, so long as a code isn't applied.

  • Damn i just spent over $250 last night thinking it was 10% cashback. At least it's still works out higher than $50 cashback from cashrewards since I used the Westpac card too.

  • @gotyourback Is use of promo credit eligible for cash back?

    • Nah not this time, any code entered into the coupon code section on the Amazon site is likely to invalidate Cashback for this one.

  • +1

No more Shop Back for me.

  • +4

pffttt. in reality 1% for most things. not worth the effort

  • Can this offer be used for multiple transactions or only once?

    • Multiple is fine, it's also uncapped so unless you're sending purchases to multiple addresses, there' no real need to split them up. If you are making multiple transactions just make sure to exit Amazon and click through from ShopBack in between purchases.

  • Do rollerblades count as shoes or sports?

    • Will likely depend on the individual listing, my guess is more likely to be Sports but you can chuck the link into CamelCamelCamel and get more detailed info if it's not clear on the Amazon webiste.

  • Is Amazon no longer available on super swap cards? Or just out of stock today?

    • I had that issue too. It worked after I added it to my Prezzee Wallet (in which I had to download the app and make an account/log in) and then swap it for the Amazon card from there.

  • +3

First time I’ve seen SB be the worst of the offers on prime day from all the cash back places

  • did anyone cashback track accurately? spent $120 and cashback is nowhere near the additional 5%.

or does the tracking take a while to come in

    • The Westpac tracking will track separately to your original Cashback and typically will come in within 1-2 business days at most, though is usually instant. If you haven't received it by end of day, let me know here and I'll check if there are any known issues.

      • hey GYB thanks for the reply. Just got both in, but the amounts reflected for standard and westpac are different. Should i shoot you a PM?

        • Happy to take a look, they may be different because the original tracked amount under Amazon will be one of the base rates listed above, and the Bonus amount should be 5%, so they could be different rates, but happy to take a look at what the amounts are to clarify if confused.

    • Mine did track, but only 1 out of the 2 ordered items in the same order appear to have been considered (and similarly for the bonus 5% Westpac bonus)…

  • +1

    no cashback tracked so far.

  • Mine tracked but it's 'calculating', hopefully it fixes itself and the Westpac 5% bonus comes through soon after.

    • Same for me. All tracking for yesterday orders (6 currently but some are still missing from yesterday) are 'calculating' and westpac bonus is 0…
For the orders made on Tuesday (4 currently but some are still missing) the cashback is correct and Westpac bonus is correct as well.
Not sure what is going on. Do you have some info about this issue @gotyourback ?

Note I have not used any code or gift card for all amazon orders, just my associated Westpac card for 1% cashback items (usually 0% without cashback upsize like yesterday and Tuesday).

      • Hmmm, let me know if this doesn't update tomorrow and I'll take a closer look for you, Amazon can take a short while to come through on occasion so may just be a slight delay.

        • Hi @gotyourback, nothing changed since yesterday. 6 tracked orders from Wednesday still 'calculating' and Westpac bonus cashback is 0.
I think you already have my shopback account details, let me know by PM if you need more details. Thanks

          • @Soulsnake: Any chance your items haven't shipped yet? I have noticed that the purchase from my Westpac card hasn't even shown up yet. On the other hand my CR tracking came through and that is also waiting to be shipped.

            • @Hiphopopotamus: Pretty sure shipping is not related. It is just behaving like my purchases made on Wednesday were on 0% casback items but it was advertised as 1% for sure and worked properly on purchases in same item categories on Tuesday (except for still missing tracked orders but this is different issue)

              • -1

@Soulsnake: That kind of makes sense, it completed my $3/$50 challenge too.

The lack of charge on my Westpac card might explain why the bonus has been delayed, but the calculating part is a problem.

                • @Hiphopopotamus: yea mine all has the wrong tracking amounts. which is very weird. already shot @gotyourback. hoping this can be resolved please

                  • @Peter33: So they're no longer 'calculating'?

Mine still is. My current theory is that it's because I did a partial payment with my Westpac card for the bonus 5%, this combined with it still having not been shipped is affecting the cashback amount.

                    • @Hiphopopotamus: nope. just the wrong amounts

                      • @Peter33: Mine finally shipped, it's still calculating but I'm hoping it will update on it's own.

I did the trick where I made an order then cancelled to make a partial payment with my Westpac card, unfortunately (perhaps because of the delayed shipment) the full amount was taken out of my GC balance. So no Westpac 5% for me.

                  • +1

@Peter33: Hey mates, working with the team to get this resolved, it looks like it has to do with the time of purchase reported to us by Amazon so we should be able to get this fixed up but waiting to hear from the team on how we will get this done.

                    • @gotyourback: GYB thanks for update. I appear to have a 3 transactions out of 5 calculating too. I only used Gift Card balance no Westpac card so this might be a more widespread issue with tracking. Will keep an eye on your updates. If this isn’t sorted by your update should I IM you my account to have it looked at?

                    • @gotyourback: appreciate your help heaps @gotyourback

                    • @gotyourback: Is there any update on this? I’ve still got some under calculating that shouldn’t be.

                      • +2

@wdw: Hey mate, sorry for the delays here mates, been working with the team to get this sorted. We've got a solution now so tracking should be updated today or tomorrow.
