    I still have my original A1000 somewhere…

Very cool! I had an A500 when I was young. Ah the memories!

      • I reckon my parents still have my old Amiga500 haha
Now I just load up Pimiga and relive the old days haha

    • +2

Be honest, it's just two A500s taped together :-)

      • +3

        It preceded the A500 though.

        • +1

Down voter is wrong, the A500 came out after the A1000 as a cheaper option.

  • Really! Now you're exposed your age!

    • Yes. I miss my A500!

      • +1

I have a few spare floppy disk if you needed it.

  • Just keep in mind that Germany has a different keyboard layout

    • +7

Does it matter if the keyboard is non functional?

    • +1

They're not that faithful to the original. All versions appear to have the QWERTY layout. Bad luck Fritz

No Defender of the Crown, no deal!

    • I remember that game! It's on my list to play. The A500 Mini allows you to download and play games from USB using WHDLoad.

When you get so good at fencing that you can take down the whole enemy castle by yourself.

    • I used to play Battlechess on my a 500 and later a 600 I sold them at Computerspot Burwood for some time in the early 90's amazing what they could do on practically no ram etc

Thanks OP. Good price for A500 mini, but it's still expensive compared to the C64 mini.

Speedball, Kick Off, California Games… good times!

Can you get these? What about Stunt Car Racer and Xenon II Megablast?

      • +1

        Yes, with whdload.

I had an Amiga 600. I recently bought a Miyoo Mini and am enjoying playing a few of the old games on that, mostly Sensible World of Soccer.

    • I got that and the Rg35xx too. I also played Disposable Hero, Agony and Buggy Boy besides Sensi hahaha

    • If you don't have a Kempston joystick for SWoS, it doesn't have that same nostalgic feel.

      • I had the Tac 2, Star Cursor and a Competition Pro on my Amiga back in the day.

  • I had the preorder on Amazon for this. But the cheapest i saw it on Amazon was like $106 a few months ago for a used one. Bought it and it was like brand new and gave it away as a gift.

  • Would be just as easy installing Retropie on either a RPi 3/4 or an older system with Amiga emulation? I know you get that funky non-working/functional box that looks like the Amiga 500.. but still.

BTW.. plenty of Abandonware Amiga games that requires no licensing for personal usage:

    • It's not the same for some of us.
I've got the MiSTer for perfect FPGA playstation 1, and the pi4 for very good emulation.
But I was very happy to own the PS Classic :)

      • The only one which really scratches the itch is the full size thec64 as its such a good experience.

I have an a500 mini but dont use it, its competent enough.

(For reference as well I have both a real amiga 500 and a real c64)

    • Gianna Sisters
    • Paradroid?
    • System Shock
    • Elite
    • Speed Run
    • Karateka
    • Defender of the Crown
    • Ultimata IV
    • Bard’s Tale
    • Eye of the Beholder

    • TV Sports Football
    • Ikiri Warriors

    Good times!

  • Btw its currently down to $138.78

  • Supercars III (Super Cars + Super Cars II Java port :)

  • I was always jealous of the Amiga (and Atari ST) owners. I started out on the Vic 20 then had a C64 for years.

  • I recall seeing an emulator with all the games online somewhere. When I tried it years back it was working fine for Desert Storm.

Still have my 500+ at my home country in storage. Will give to my kid when he is 12 to play. He needs to start the way I did with the simple things and then he will appreciate the current products more :)
