The GPU is a 620M for those wondering.

The weight of the laptop is "Starting at 1.8 kg" (http://shopap.lenovo.com/au/en/products/laptops/thinkpad/thi…). If you can get over that, looks like a pretty good deal

Hi-Res 14", i7, 128gb SSD. What more could you want? Blu-ray? Unlimited battery, zero weight?

      I want that X1 Carbon! only $60 more :P

It doesn't have a graphics card. If I desperately wanted a laptop without any features and cant even run Autodesk well, I would have gone to buy an apple air a long time ago

      • THE SEEMS NOT GOING TO HONOR THE 1059 X1 CARBON.
NOT BUYING FROM AU LENOVO ANYMORE.

        • ..EEMS

          Lol HITS*.. there, fixed. ;D

Got this with same specs for around $850 in August with their 30% off deal. Pretty awesome laptop, seems very nicely made.

edit: realized it's the student link!

      An SSD? Welcome to 2012.

Good luck fitting all your 2012 bloatware on a teensy drive. Better off with a big 7200rpm hdd, two extra seconds of boot up time let me finish my coffee.

two extra seconds let me finish Mr work and iI can go to the cafe to have fresh coffee

I have a 128gb SSD as my OS, It's enough for day to day use. I have 3 games installed, MSOffice installed, few other small programs I use and still got 30gb space left. If you manage your OS drive properly, like not install crap software that you use once and never touch again. It's best to just uninstall those types of programs then.

        • External hdd and usb drives for storage? Welcome to 2012.

        • You remove the optical dvd drive and replace it with an hdd to keep your bloatware.

Any coupons to bring the price down further?

  • I actually posted this a week ago here, with coupon price. I am sure Lenovo is going to do another deal later this week.
