[Refurb] iPhone SE 2020 64GB $229 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ Coles

120

This is $30 cheaper than when it was posted last month https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/781788

Additionally, I can't promise anything but my dad ordered this and said he got a $10 off voucher for his next shop at Coles too.

The iPhone 2020 SE is said to have ios update support up until 2027.

Be wary of limited battery capacity and life, however light users should be fine.

Is this not the same thing but a buttload cheaper? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/789071

Depends on the condition really. That other deal, “Good” sounds rather poor to me.

“Beat to the sh**” might be more accurate.

      Good
This device has more obvious signs of wear such as significant scratches, scuff marks and/or small chips that do not affect functionality. Minimum 80% battery life. Fully Functional with One-year warranty and 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee.”

To be fair, I bought an iPhone 7 from Coles about 2 years ago and let me tell you, that piece of shit's battery was lucky to last more than 20 minutes of actual screen on use. Had to get it replaced. The replacement is fine, tolerable, maybe 2 hours of screen on time if you're lucky.

Don’t get me wrong, I have no idea what Cole’s refurbs are like, though I would expect them to be of a higher standard than I quoted above for the cheaper eBay option.

  • Once they refurbish why they don't put a new battery in?

They almost always don’t refurbish or renew anything.

A new battery would cost $$$$, an Apple OEM battery would cost more. All iPhone refurbs not done by Apple are just secondhand phones of varying quality.

  • Any deals on the 3rd version

  • This is only got 64gb version. So not cheaper

  • @hetzjagd the voucher is related to this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/789308

  • Bought it today. Thanks OP.
I expected some scratches but it looks brand new.
It is boxed by Boost and has a $2 sim inside the box. A generic cable and 5V2A are also inside the box. 30days guarantee + 12months warranty by boost not apple.

    • what battery percentage did it have being a refurb?

  • How the hell are you supposed to find if they have stock locally of these? They never answer the damn phone!

I'm not sure if this helps but when ordering, before it gets to the payment part you should be presented with your options for same or next day click-and-collect. If you're ordering early enough in the day and stock is available at the particular store or nearby, it should indicate that same day pickup is available and the windows of times you can choose. If you aren't seeing that before you proceed to the payment options, then you might assume your locals don't have them and will need a couple of days at least to fill the order from another Coles elsewhere (or some warehouse location). It may not be needed to survey availability but also try ensure you're logged into a Coles account during the order and that you have your desired store selected.

Personally I do not know if any Coles stores stock these devices or if they're all delivered per order from a warehouse location. i.e. you may not be able to walk into any particular Coles and initiate an over-the-counter sale to purchase one of these phones.
