"That's Tommy. He tells people he was named after a gun. But I know he was really named after a famous 19th century ballet dancer."

    • -1

Sounds like a bit of a train plane crash!

    • +1

would a Constantinople brekky have pork ?

      • +1

That’s nobody’s business but the Turks..

    • -6

This is Hungry Jack's, you think they think their customers have thought about that? The only place they've visited out of Australia is Bali and maybe at a push Hawai'i.

      • the teenaged workes probably cross-contaminate anyway too

      • +2

It's called Hungry Jacks, not hungry mohammeds. Get off your high horse, you're in Australia.

        • -7

I am in Australia and I personally love bacon but if you can read this specifically says it's a turkish brekkie roll. It's ignorant not to know that the whole world doesn't revolve around our country. If you don't like that, you don't like facts.

          • +1

@kiriakoz: For someone so concerned with facts you didn't even read the actual name of the item on the menu. It's specifically called "BACON & EGG ON TURKISH".

            Do you like apples?

    • +4

Why not? Pork is forbidden in the Bible as well, yet it is consumed in countries where the majority of the population is Christian.

Should try the Lebanese brekky roll, much cheaper.

      • +1

        Hahaha, working on that one.

    • +1

      No. Phone is fine

Usual price is $6.25 for the Turkish Brekky Roll + $2.25 per Hash Brown for a total of $10.75 (53% Discount!)
Can also customise to Sausage @ Egg if desired ^_^

    • +1

But who actually pays 2.25 per hash brown?

      • +7

The general population does. OzB doesn't, but the same crowd who buys Dominos pizza at full price are the same ones who get $2.25 hashies

      • +1

They wouldn't charge it if people didn't pay it.

      • The same person that will pay $2.55 at the golden arches?

    • wym custom sausage egg? is it free

  • +3

How did Hungry Jacks decide to name their bacon and egg sandwich, Turkish Roll lol

    • There are herbs on the bun to give it that Turkish flavour. Tastes pretty good actually.

    • +4

Because its made with Turkish Bread. Stale Turkish bread.

    • +1

      Well it's not a sandwich..

  • +1

Got it yesterday, its a bacon and egg muffin with some black sesame. Lol

    • And cheese 🙂

    • +1

The roll tastes nothing like a muffin and has a different mouth-feel too.

  • I tried this .didnt like the turkish bread they provided

    • are the english muffins from maccas better?

    Unhealthy junk

    • +11

      Yes, but discounted unhealthy junk!

    • +4

… You realise this is Hungry Jack's, right?

      • not hungry junk.

      • +1

Yes, hungry jacks is unhealthy junk

    • This is probably a positive feature.

      • Positive in the fact it's natural selection

        • Yeah as natural selection can claim the vegan acai eaters, while the people with the fat and preservatives from this deal will be preserved longer together with their offspring.

    • I wish some cheap healthy takeout restaurants were available but this is Australia where the choices are limited and you had better bring your wallet

Can I pay in TL with my virtual Türkiye Mastercard?

  • Hey @Scrooge McDeal

Hey do you make your Turkish coff?

    • Sure. I don't have hot sand to make it the traditional way thought.

      • Soz, I mean how do you make your Turkish coff?

        • +1

You can buy turkish coffee (it's comes in a packet) you boil water in coffee pot (something like this )and you put your coffee in to boil. You put sugar if you want. You let it boil and stir. When coffee gets close to spill out, you remove coffee.

          • @Scrooge McDeal: Nice, think my buddy (Greek heritage) does something very similar.

Reckon you could use the turkish coffee in a Moka?

            • @muwu: Never tried it in a moka pot. I asked the guy where I bought the coffee from , how to make. It's pretty simple. Strong coffee thought.

  • +3

I did prefer their English muffin version. Sadly they ditched it.
