Regularly check your ebay messages, I got mine in the actual messages section (with no notification via email or anything else). From memory messages get cleared every 60 (?) days so if you're not actively checking it can appear there and disappear and you'll be none the wiser :(

Agree on the vouchers. It took me two phone calls that were on dodgy lines to Philippine call centres to get them. I wouldn't bother again.

I've found eBay (phone) support to be consistently helpful and friendly. YMMV.
..and if the item doesnt arrive or is faulty…eBay will simply keep the refund, as its a "voucher".

Also, they only gave me (and several others 7 monthlt vouchers, not 12).
They acknowledged the mistake (in an email) and are working on a solution..since July 23.
I wrang them for the third time recently ..same response..and then got angry and hung up!
If you get ebay Plus…use a credit card and get a chargeback for not fullfilling t&cs.

This has been available for years. You don't get the $30 gift card until after your current ebay plus ends and after you pay full price for another year.
Any idea how long after it usually takes? I signed up to this previously and it renewed last week, but no sign of a gift card yet.
This seems pretty obvious - Why would they give you the gift card before you pay?

Just as others said - you only get the voucher after you renew. Make sure to take screenshots with the offer to to show to customer support if it is not done automatically.

Not going to neg but f*** eBay and their customer service team. Bunch of absolute stooges. Had this offer in April, chose to extend, had screenshots with dates. Nearly 2-3 months later still nothing. Chase them up, said they can’t make any decisions and needs to escalate. 5-7 days. Waited, then chased up again, another 5-7 days. Finally got it issued… only to find it can’t be stacked on discount codes.
I had also asked numerous times so what happens if customer doesn’t chase up? Why does the customer need to chase up at all? Something so small should be automated surely? Why couldn’t it be approved on the spot with my screenshot proof? Why is there no confirmation of deal activation once you reach the date requirements?
(All to which the customer service people just avoid answering)

Just returned something I used a sign-up voucher on (risky I know). Can confirm I got the $20 voucher code back too! It appears in my eBay summary.

Also, got written acknowledgement today from eBay that they didn't provide 5 of the monthly plus vouchers and are 'actioning' a response.
@tunzafun001: Yeah I also didn't get a few $5 on $15 spend vouchers during my last annual sub and stopped getting messages about the ones that were sent. A couple were sent manually after lengthy waits, they started with MAUC and didn't require a minimum spend. One support case is still open since March. Had to deal with some rude call centre agents, one of whom hung up on me as soon as I explained my query.

First one was instant (shows on the confirmation screen), second was 2 weeks for me. However those $20 on $200 spend codes are released in monthly cycles according to the T&Cs, so it'll be around 12 August.

I don't understand why this doesn't have more likes. I buy a couple of things off eBay every month. There is almost always a eBay plus coupon which makes the item cheaper than Amazon and often things are posted with express post rather than regular post. Definitely worth the subscription in my mind, even without the $30 coupon.

Sometimes after cancelation and expiry of your ebay plus membership, they will off $50 or $80 off a $49 annual renewal. Last year, I had started using my alt account and logged onto to my old after a month or two of non use and was surprised by an offer to renew and get $80.

I think they mean they setup multiple eBay accounts, so has a better chance of getting targeted deals. I don't think they would be getting Plus on ALL the accounts though, as that would be abit ofa gamble. Or maybe they create a new account with a trial period and cancel, hoping the deal/voucher comes trhough 🤷🏾♂️

Yep, worked for me too. When you renew for $49, you get a $30 voucher. It's good value, apparently I've save $600, so definitely worth it.
Mine expired end of June and I tried to leave before that and it offered me $30 GIFT CARD if I stayed, even took SS of it. Nevertheless 10days after renewal (as it states on T&C) nothing ever came. Had to chase it up, TWICE over the course of 2 weeks after that. Both times they said it’s been escalated and will be emailed once the have update. So finally on 22nd July I had an email with the unique code, which is a voucher that expires in ~4weeks after the email.
It’s half disappointing that we’d have to chase it up in the first place, more so given a voucher that expires in 4 weeks instead of a more permanent gift card which I was promised in the first place.
I have yet to find something to buy $30 on since any unused value will expire, but I hope I don’t have experience like Jim Wong or tunza above.

No cancellation option shows up for free memberships. I think we just need to delete on file payment info to cancel at the end of the period.
How do you go to cancel? I went into "Edit Membership" and there's only two options in the drop don menu, "View Invoice and eBay Plus Terms & Conditions"

The eBay membership is worthless after it changes from $5 off $15 each month to $5 off $35.
Most things if are available on both eBay and Amazon, eBay's one will be expensive and slow delivery, I will not renew the membership anymore.

The only reason why I renewed was because I make the annual fee back in the $5 off $15 vouchers every month. Now they did a bait and switch straight after I paid the annual fee, making the membership useless for me. As others have mentioned, prices on eBay are higher than competitors. I won't renew either going forward.
