1st 1,000 people??? is there that many residents there?

    • -3

Don't think there is that many residents there, though there definitely are that many residents there.

  • How crisp are the retina screens on these?

    • As crisp as a Granny Smith on a frosty morning.

  • +8

What. An Apple store in Canberra? They'll put one on Christmas Island before Adelaide gets one.

    • +5

Is there an Apple Store on the Apple Isle ???

      • No but there is a christmas store…

  • -1

    what size is it ?

    • +33

      Bold, size 12, Arial font

    • +3

      thats what she said

    • +4

      One size fits all. XL.

  • Will Julia be there?

    • +8

If she claims she will be there, she won't.

If she claims she won't be there, she will.

      • Let's hope she doesn't turn up claiming there's gonna be no new taxes then…

        • +1

          The Apple t-shirt tax. Free t-shirt becomes $0.25 t-shirt.

I thought the same but it's a different location, other one was in WA.

Does that mean when the woolworths specials get posted, we should have a new bargain posted for each store, despite all the specials being the same?

This should have been attached to the other deal posted.

        • +1

I did think about attaching this to the other Apple store posting, but then thought, the Canberra people might miss it, because it already had another State (W.A.)in that listings heading. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time, having to read another post!

They should be paying the wearer for the advertising, and for being sad enough to want to wear one.

    • +3

That's not the ozbargain spirit. I'd wear a Mitt Romney shirt if it was free

      • +2

yea, but I'd feel so ashamed without making necessary modifications to the image/message tho.

  • The last post was full of trolls and deleted posts, how about we see if this one can remain free of that mess?

    • +4

How did I miss it ??? What happened ?

    • Awww.. you kill-joy! ;P

EDIT: Scratch the above. In light of a certain comment below, I'd like to rephrase my comment here. What I actually meant to say was "Yeah! Too right, Foobar!" =)

A free Tshirt isn't worth getting out of bed at that time on a saturday morning.

    • +1

you don't have kids, do you? otherwise you would have been up for 4 hours by then… even on a weekend…

    • +8

      This isn't just a Tshirt, it's an iShirtâ„¢.

      • iShirt?
        Definitely won't be waking up.

    • +1

They usually last till the afternoon. Got my Broadway shirt at 1pm, with still plenty left in the boxes.

      • Did you have to queue by then? I should've gone! :D

  • I wonder what will happen to MAC1 store.

    • Doesn't take much wondering to figure it out - down the stinker

    • It's already closed down. All boarded up.
I bet apple paid them off.

  • Let me remind what ozpete said in the other free Apple T-shirt thread:

Next trolling comment will get a ban.

Have some respect for other peoples choices while they might not be what you like, its childish to try and force your opinions down their throats. Be nice people.

    Share bargains not hate

    Same applies to this thread.

    • Share bargains not hate

Scotty, does 'playfully antagonistic' come under the banner of "hate"? Just for future reference.. not that I'll need it, of course.. what with me being such a sweet innocent nice girl and all. It's just these things are good to know.. for one who hasn't actually read the rules.. yet. ;D

  • Can anyone please confirm: do we have to buy something to get free t-shirt? as it's mentioned the first 1000 "customers" not "visitors". Has anybody got any clue?

    • The other one in WA mentions no need to buy anything (or something like that).

    • -1

Yeh I'd say customers means you buy something

      • Well don't "say" because you are wrong. No purchase required.

    • There were no T&C's attached to the email and none on the site that I could find, so, can't help, sorry!

      • The email I got states

"*No purchase necessary. While supplies last."

        • Might need to repeat it a few more times for the hard of reading. :)

  • Any Ozbargainers in the line with me?

    • There's a Line?

I was planning on rocking up at 10

      • Get here quick, theyve started cheering! Oh and the line takes up most of the court opposite the store…

        • Yeah, I came at 10 looked at the line and left. I don't even like Apple anyway, only wanted the T-shirt to be ironic (and since it was free)

        • Oh you hipster you

    • I was there. Was probably a few hundred back in the line but it moved pretty quick anyway. Think it took about 15 to 20 mins to get in. Arrived about five to 10. Bit slow but not that bad really…it was pretty well coordinated.

They were still handing shirts out near mid day.
