  • Nice one. Bought 2. First one tracked, 2nd one so far have not. I did close all browsers and go through SB again to buy the 2nd one. I did show as click was registered. Just no CB yet, the 1st one was almost instant CB!

    • Mine took an hour, no need to panic yet

    • Are you able to activate the second sim after 30 days and under the same name, or was this for two users?

  • Click registered, waiting for tracking.
Not sure why my last 2 Amazon purchases only tracked with "calculating" - seems like they are doomed / flagged to be rejected.

What does this mean in the T&C

Cashback is qualified only for new Boost customers.

How do they know who is 'new'? Requesting for a new number is considered new?

    • Lets find out from @gotyourback (Rep has been tagged)

I suppose the question to ask is can people proceed with a Boost via ShopBack using an existing email address, delivery address, phone number (etc) that has been used with previous Boost signups (eg. Through Cashrewards) and have their cashback honoured like Cashrewards does

      • +2

Hey mate, I've chatted with Boost, doesn't look like this is an accurate T&C with Boost so I'm asking for this to be removed ASAP. Sorry for the confusion!

    • Means doesn't apply to recharges

  • +1

Bit confused on the 'New Customer' T&C. Can the same Boost account (email) have more than one active Boost SIM, or do we need to make a separate new account + verify ID for each Boost SIM?

  • Boost sales rep came back from holiday after splurging last FY bonus

  • Haven't been tracked yet after an hour.

    • same here.

    • Just got tracked now.

  • I purchased a Boost Sim through ShopBack but I'm in the process of cancelling it pending the answer from @gotyourback regarding the 'New Customer' T&C.
Last thing I'd want to do is get caught out by a sneaky T&C and have the cashback denied

      • +1

OP isn't a Shopback rep though?

        • fair concern.

          • @Eugklng: CR has 100% cashback for same sim, am sure they dont have new customer in T&C

            • @Ehty: Yes, CR don't have this T&C. But SB does and this is a SB deal. Probably good to find out what it means from a rep.

              • @Eugklng: I meant if someone wants to grab 100% Cashback and not $2 profit then CR is an option.

    • i have bought multiple new SIMs from the previous promo n was approved for each of the purchases. im "new customer" each time i activate a new sim ;)

  • grab one, thanks op

  • tracked now

  • +1

I am new to this. So you get $14 cashback, ($2 profit) And then its back to the $35 for the next month?

    • +1

you dont need to auto-recharge. so the sim just expires after 28days

      • Would it be possible to get multiple under different email addresses, or do they know if its under the same name?

        • Normally with cashrewards you can do as many as you want all with the same details and its just a free money generator (until boost mobile limits you) but this one says

"Cashback is qualified only for new Boost customers."

might be an error but who knows.

        • For cashback:

Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions

SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering

      • +1

The sim does not expire after 28 days.
The active plan does, sim/number continues to be active another 90 or 180 days after recharge expires.

    • yeah.. just activate n throw it away, unless u really want a new sim.

  • thought the boost sim promo is finished n ended up buying lebara for $4 from coles.

    • can those be refunded?

  • Do you actually need to activate within the 30 days for the cashback?

    • +1

Technically yes and I've always activated within 30 days to be safe. But i've heard reports from people who activated after 30 days and still got approved.

      • +1

I think I activated a two sim after 30 days and still got approved

        • Great to know.

    • +1

Thats the big question, then it would be worth the risk to buy multiple.

  • +2

Waiting for ZipPay to come up with a better offer.

    • +1

      I wouldn't hold your breath.

      • Never say never

  • +1

Looking for a deal on 365 days prepaid.

  • It says applicable for new boost customers. Does that mean i cannot buy multiple sims with separate transactions?

    • You can buy multiple sims in separate transactions (1 sim per transaction)

  • Anyone had 500 internal server error after clicking on buy sim? First time saw this error message.

BTW, I am using SB app. Anyone using browser to purchase got cash back tracked? Thanks.

Edit: switched to mobile data and placed an order successfully.

    • I used browser and it tracked fine.

      • Thanks. I was able to placed an order using mobile data and app after trying 13 times.

  • Is anyone buying more than one? would it work to activate and use the next month even though it says it must be activated within 30 days?

    • Bought one (so far), waiting for bigger profit before buying more.

      • I meant to actually use the service, that is free, with profit. The profit is nice but I would be happy with it just being free for 2 months if it works!

    • +1

Activate 1 on arrival and the other 30 days from now. There will be some overlap but should still get 7 weeks of use.

  • -1

Sux to know that i am better with Kogan than Boost. Was expecting perfection on Boost, but Kogan bested it.

  • +2

It's showing as 35 reduced to 12, but clicking through it still shows it's going to bill me $35.
Confused as to what I'm doing wrong.

    • same here, prehaps promo has ended and the initial page is cached (showing old price)

      • Maybe, doesn't matter for me, grabbed 6 $5 amaysims today, then this popped up and I thought great.
Have 12mnths to activate the amaysims, have a boost expiring in 7 days.

        All good here.

      • Promo from Boost (not SB) was meant to run for a couple of weeks. I just removed that line from the description to avoid confusion.

    • Happened to me, I tried again (Closed it off and did it again) and it worked properly.

      • Closed it off?
I've closed shopback and opened it again to start the process over and it just keeps showing 35

        • same here using shopback app, but tried on PC and it works
          suggest trying a different browser

shopback app worked fine for me earlier

          • @mantra: Not for me, just tried PC and getting same thing as on the phone/app.

            • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: i worked out how to get it to show $35 and $12 with the same browser

do not click shop then buy, should be a buy button on the front page which will check out as $12

if it doesn't show i found clicking and dragging to the left or right where it says less than $3 a day and it'll show

              • @mantra: Yep I've seen the front page the 2nd time and used that, still got it at 35.

Will keep probing but no issue of I can't get it to work, thanks for the replies.

                • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: yes worth keep probing, didn't order just tried again and back to $35 at checkout

                  • +1

@mantra: Just cleared SB cache, Firefox cache, enabled Chrome and set it as default, lol still bloody got 35.

                    • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: Still bloody 35 for me on mobile or PC with different browsers. No change on ShopBack, Cashrewards and Boost. Tried for about half an hour. Also cleared cache, history etc

                      • @trixieb: Cheers, I've thrown so many differnt angles and approaches at this for just 1 measly sim order, gave it a break and lit my wood fired heater for my cat that sat on top of the heater basically saying light this son of b***h up, came back and tried again.

                        Will take another look tomorrow.

                        • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: Lol I was thinking the same. Only needed 1. Unfortunately cashback expires today
P.S. Coles also selling for $12. No cashback though

                          • @trixieb: There'll be another +profit offer some time soon, and you never know it may be a better profit, I just wanted to offset something and grab yet another unneeded no. (lol).

                          • @trixieb: Woolworths selling for $12 too.

        • Closed everything off via the app, opened SB, went into Boost, added the sim and it worked for me on the second try.

Perhaps it's a bug on their end? I doubt Boost Mobile have pulled the deal this early.
          Keep trying I suppose.

    • Same here

  • +2

I got two earlier today, but now when I try I can't get it to show the discount price - says $35 when I click buy Sim - anyone else experiencing this?

    • +1

Yes just tried to buy one and it looks like it'll bill me $35

    • Also seeing $35 now = no discount when going via Shopback, or even direct on Boost site. Still advertising though as discounted to 22-Aug

    • Yes same happening here too

  • Bought 2 in a single transaction only to realise I should have bought them separately for CB

    • D'oh!

    • +1

      Profit to boost!

  • I'm at review & submit page, and the amount due is still $35. Will my card be charged for $12 in the end?

    • -1

Everyone having same problem and Boost chat is closed. Any other way to contact them to fix the bug?

      • +1

I got charged $35 as well, their chat is still working and i just asked them to cancel the order.

  • +3

I think the deal has been Ozbargained! $35 showing via ShopBack, Cashrewards and Boost

This is the message from "Queen Jaya" via Boost Live Chat:

Quote: "I was able to see that you have concern with discount not applying in the $12 plan sim promotion.

For this, we are already raising this concern and we are working on it.

Since that the new promotion will expire in few weeks, best to try to purchase the sim again within 24 hours.

The promotion just launched lately, so we are coordinating with the higher web operation department to fix the check out page of the sim orders so that customers can get the discount without any issues."

    • we were all running dry on data hahahah

    • That would be really mean spirited of boost. I would write a letter of complaint. They should let everyone have months of free service, with a profit :(

  • +4

I can't seem to get this to $12 at checkout.
It stays at $35 the whole time until even the last step of checkout.
I've tried clicking on 2 seperate BUY NOW icons stating $12, but all have a $35 checkout price.

    Anyone else having this issue?
