Not as good as shopback deal but this is on Cashrewards.

Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Adding more than one SIM to an order will result in an untracked purchase.

SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.

You must return and click through Cashrewards for each new transaction.

final checkout shows $35 instead of $12. was the deal pulled?

    • Went to chat and got this:

Good Evening! Thank you for using Boost Web Messaging.

The promo banner has just been uploaded today and the price deduction will take effect by tomorrow.

The system is still being configured to align the pricing. I suggest to try the ordering by tomorrow.

Cart still shows $35 though the product page says $12. Is there a coupon we need to apply?

  • i see what you mean. you are correct, it does show $35 in the cart. i think a coupon might come up shortly. i just purchased this after seeing the deal on shopback earlier today and went straight to buy it through the cashrewards app…. i didn't need a coupon, it just showed up as $12. this was at 10 am today .

try after a few hours maybe

Note to all, this CR's offer has no profits, but also does not have the clause below in the T&C when compared to ShopBack.

Cashback is qualified only for new Boost customers.

    • +1

Aren't they always? I assume that means you can't use it as a recharge or port back in too soon. A new number always works right?

      • no idea…just a new clause in there and open to any interpretation

      • +1

Correct. New number = New customer.

  • -3

$2 worse off and you think it's a deal just because of CR!

    • +4

$14 worse off when it doesn't track and they refuse to help.

      • +2

I never had any problem with the tracking of Boost with CR.

I did have the problem with the tracking of Amazon on the Prime Day sale. Sent a request to them and they fixed it up manually in a couple of days. I'm happy with their service.

        • I never had a problem until the time that I had a problem. Put in an enquiry, provided receipts and they refused to honour it.

          • -1

@JIMB0: Really? Cash rewards is owned by ANZ and is governed by their complaints processes. Ask to make a complaint and if that is not successful go to AFCA.

    • +2

Removing my neg as it's now a deal, given the better SB cashback has ended.

  • Correct

  • +3

Not as good as shopback deal but this is on Cashrewards.

I've had more problems with Cashrewards tracking than I have with Shopback

    • I think I've had one CR cashback fail and it was my fault. I do the same thing every time. Close every program I have open, open Firefox or Chrome browser, turn off every plugin/extension running in the browser, hit F5 or CTRL R to refresh the page, turn on the Cashrewards browser plugin, click the blue CR icon at the top right, login, then click the "Cashrewards" button below the "Go to Deal" button at top of these deal pages watching to ensure the CR browser plugin recognizes that last click. Add item to cart, check the price is correct with no extra shipping fees added by default, then pay. If the CR browser tracker/icon doesn't recognize that last click and display a tick or whatever it is, I go to CR site instead, type the business name into their search box, and click to start shopping from the CR site instead. Basically do whatever is necessary to make the tick in the blue CR icon at top right of browser appear. After buying a tracking email comes, then I worry every day cashback won't be paid because someone else said theirs didn't - but it works anyway.

What a lot of mucking about. Why not just use the app?

        • A few reasons. Both SB & CR have apps and I have used one or both before, but I do it this /\ way because as people we make mistakes. And typing with one finger on a phone screen while also trying to hold bank cards in the light (usually at night) trying to read faded numbers, is a pain in the neck when you can simply type on a keyboard at 60+wpm using all fingers and use the "tab" key to move from field to field. By doing the same thing every time I haven't missed any cashbacks except that one I made a mistake on. Finally, I"m not sure if it's CR or SB but at least one of them has in the past had some deals only available via the app, and others only on a computer. May as well stick to the one I'm used to unless forced to do differently, risking a mistake.

  • Boost has still not fixed their website pricing problem

    • It is now fixed.

  • I’m new to Boost.
Just hoping to understand What happen if I am already in Boost’s one year plan? Can I still buy this for recharge to get one additional month & adding those data into my current plan?

  • Where does it state in the Ts&Cs re the must activate within 30 days. I went through them and only saw reference to offer end date of 22 Aug or when sold out. Also must activate by 22 Sept which suits my need better than 30 days from ordering.

    • +2

You can activate the service later but no cash back

  • Boost Mobile has fixed the website pricing issue.

  • Boost website is fixed - it's now $12 again

    • Since ShopBack could offer $14 yesterday, I guess Cashrewards may increase the offer soon later.

      • Fingers crossed!

  • Didn’t show discount but then did on reload. Thanks for posting!

  • Just be careful if you are ordering more than 1. I bought 1 through shopback yesterday for $12 plus cashback. And i thought i would buy a 2nd when i was tired at 1am this morning and on my phone i ordered and got charged $35. Tried to cancel through boost but there support is crap. Apparently if you use same name you can only get discount on new purchase.

    • That happened to me. Boost refunded the difference this morning.

  • finally, they're back!
fyi, based on the previous promos, the cashback will most probably go up, and you'll once again be able to quit your job to follow your real passion.

    • Don't think the cashback will go up according to a comment by CR rep on another thread….

  • Bought one this morning for $12 and tracked straightaway. Not sure when CR will increase their cashback.

  • +1

The "Go To Deal" button links directly to Boost, shouldn’t that point to CR seeing as it is a CR deal?

    • +2

I think it's not actually a Cashrewards deal when it's posted like this.

      • Oh yeah, good point!

I’m based in Melbourne, does anyone have some experience on how long the SIM has taken to arrive after you ordered? Thanks in advance.

    • Last time I ordered from Boost Mobile I placed the order on a Monday and it arrived Thursday

      • Prior to that, it was taking a week but as mentioned above, last sim came in a few days.

  • Good to see these deals back, thanks OP

  • Just ordered two more (separate orders) to feed into my home 4G router. Give my ALDIMobile a chance to roll over some data

  • As it needs to be activated within 30 days. Does that mean its pointless buying more than one if you only want to use in one device? Thinking maybe to order another one to coincide after the first one is activated to make sure it will be within the 30 day period.

    • Depends on how much data you go through.

      • Definitely wouldnt use that much in a month. I currently have 3gb and are close to that quota now so 5 would be ideal.

I'm still waiting for CR Boost cash back from mid-June purchase…

Does it really take "up to 95 days", I was (falsely) hoping it could be quicker in practice.

Any problems with CB if I activate within 30 days as per terms, but then churn after the end of billing period and before the cash back comes through?

    • +1

No, I have done this many times as I hop around to as many free deals as I can find. They only care that you activated not if you stayed on.

      • cheers, thanks for confirming

Historically it has always taken just over 2 months. Cashback on boost sims is usually processed towards the end of each month, e.g. May purchases got paid out July 27.

    • +1

No issues. I can confirm this as I bought multiple sims for profit from Boost Mobile on May 26th 2023 and they all confirmed on July 27th 2023. As long as you activate it, your cashback from Cashrewards will be APPROVED within 30-60 days after activation of the Sim.

      Hope this information helps!

Been waiting for a Boost deal to churn to after Aussie BB ends, missed SB's yesterday. No profit but still a free month cant complain

    • Now to see who to port to next. Only looking like Mate for $1 for first month atm.

      • Don't bother, I was on the for their 2 months $1, what they don't tell you was they start the month from your order date, not activation. So basically lost 2-3 weeks from the first month. They'll "pro rate" you a refund of like 70c or something but the expiry date will still be a month from order. Wouldn't bother for 1 month

        • I already did their $1/3months. It was fine, I knew what I was getting into.

Personally, I'm waiting for felix to bring back their free month offer. Their real free month offer, not the 'credit off a future purchase' malarkey they have at the moment.

  • -1

Sad to see no profit, however can't complain. It's a free SIM.

  • I purchased through "Go to deal" and the order did not track or appear in my click history.
It cost $12 and I will try and cancel through Boost and reorder through Cashback.

    • Your cashback usually gets tracked within 2-10 minutes. However, it can take up to 2-3 days for Cashrewards to mark your order as Pending.

    • +2

Sorry i posted deal for cashback but someone edited it to take directly to boost. Their customer service is good so maybe try them.

      • That's weird because it's usually always posted with the CR link.

This avoids issues as mentioned above by @KevCol.

    • I did same , messaged them to ask to cancel , they replied " can't cancel anymore as it goes straight to warehouse for processing"

  • No profit but still good for us who need a free sim/data etc. Cheers OP

  • Anyone now having issues with the website when purchasing?

"SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG: We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later."

  • Says offer open till 22 Aug or when sold out. Typically how quick do these deals sell out? I need to get late on due to 30 day activation requirement

    • Well we're in a bit of an unknown space at the moment as to the predictability of the whole boost-cashrewards program as has it has all changed with the new financial year.

The CR rep hasn't been able to provide any assurances going forwards that boost is going to offer the promotions the same as before, if at all. So all bets are off.

      • Sorry are you just saying no-one knows yet if the deals will continue, or that we don't know if Boost will honour cashbacks?

  • Can the sim card be activated by anyone other than the real purchaser and still be eligible for the cash back???? If someone can please help with this….

    • Should be fine as long as it is activated within 30 days.
