For $1,000 it's a very good value for the money deal.
Top quality brand battery with 21700 Samsung cells, very nice looking stylish, torque sensor instead of the cheap cadence sensor found even on $3,000 value bikes, a color LCD screen and more.

    Waiting for Vic offer.

  • +1

    That ain't a road bike

    • +4

No it's an electric road bike :P

    • +2

      That ain't a road bike

Some people call it flat bar others call it crossroad, gravel (depending on the tyre), for sure there are many different types of road bikes and also a flat bar Google search suggests road bike for best results.

      • -3

        18.5KG 'road bike'….lol!

        • +3

Of all people on OzBargain it's no surprise that it's you who doesn't realise an ebike is heavier than a bike due to a battery among other parts.

@Clear: is your sarcasm detector broken?

          • +1

@Clear: That guy got nothing better to do in his life or maybe just a competitor.

              • @Clear:

as been saying stupid crap on my deals and others for a long time

Same here, there is a psychopathic who followed me because didn't like my answers.
I hate Facebook but one only option I love is the chance to block croocks a move on.

              • -1

@Clear: nice one clear. resorting to personal attacks….because you literally have no clue about 'bikes' and promote illegaly sized motors for the australian market.

Given the motor is 750W this exceeds the 250W/500W legal limit in Australia making it illegal to ride on public roads. However it's perfectly fine for private property and some offroad tracks (check your local state/territory laws).

                https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/784300

….it took mulitple comments from users for you to modify that deal and you still left in that ambiguous shit about private 'offroad tracks'….what private offroad tracks???

maybe lay off the personal attacks and focus on australian law and how it pertains to the products your floggin here…that may be a better use of your time rather than focussing on my personal health & medical beliefs.

                • @franco cozzo: The thing is though you've proven yourself to be antivaxx on several occasions so pointing out that you're antivaxx is not a personal attack. Unless that's not true and you were trolling in all those Covid posts you made.

Besides you were being inflammatory in my last post. Seems it's personal and you're back for more.

                • @franco cozzo:

literally have no clue about 'bikes'

Says it the one who started shockpuppeting.

                  18.5KG 'road bike'….lol!

And showing the ignorance about electric bikes.

                  promote illegaly sized motors

Do you work in the police department? LOL

        • Are you really Franco Cozzo that guy who has old furniture stock and never sells a thing?
You don't even understand furniture let alone electric bikes, I advice you go on eBay and look for the bike of your dreams! LOL

          https://duckduckgo.com/?q=franco+cozzo+old+furniture+brunswi…

          • @billadm: you know what a pseudonym is right, funny guy?

            • @franco cozzo: Shockpuppeting and trolling is all you started in this thread plus attacking a specific user, why don't you post your own thread, let me see and lets have some fun.

  • 36V/10Ah
    120km/h max range

    thats a big lie

    • Thanks for pointing out my error. I was infact reading a different bike when grabbing the specs.

    • Their poorly made promo video says 80km

    • +1

Range numbers are arbitrary. It could easily do 120km (not /h) range on the plains because the motor cuts out at 25km/hr.
Climbing the Alps, it might do 20km in one hour before going flat.

Looks like a very nice bike for the price. Cassette (9-speed 11-28), lightweight. Rear hub + torque sensor is great on sealed roads.

  • -6

    18.5kg is light weight?
That is more than double my road bike.

    • +4

      Is it electric?

      • he has a bicycle…and legs. no theyre not electric

      • -1

        Battery/Motor adds 3.5kg

        • What ebike do you have?

    • my road bike

      Is it still available?

  • +2

Highlights includes an Italian kickstand (photo gallery)…oh yeah, that makes this a winner then.

    • +6

Ursus is a well known brand and they make good quality kickstands as well as Selle Royal saddle.
It's a plus value for sure because these parts cost more than many more other cheap brands and last longer.
For $1,000 you could buy the ALDI bike (when they have it) which is a very budget one with cheap parts, or you can find many similar budget bikes on eBay.

      • -1

        yeah…but 'kickstand'

        • +1

Yeah, that's my point. It's a bit of concern when all other primary parts of the bike don't get mentioned as high quality…it's like welcome to your new car, it's got a shark fin roof radio antenna designed by NASA…buy it! Here's a picture to see it, look at that fin!

          • +2

@hippo2s: Himo are pretty open about what other parts are being used. 21700 Samsung battery cells instead of Chinese cells, colour display, Tektro brakes, Shimano gears, Kenda tyres and so forth. There's a lot of similar priced ebikes that don't mention it because they use cheap shit 😉

            • @Clear: Fair enough. I do see those mentioned further down the page (specs in description and photos) like you said. I was going off the gallery photos only.

          • @hippo2s:

It's a bit of concern when all other primary parts of the bike don't get mentioned as high quality

It's a marketing thing and so the manufacturer mention parts which have a high value in both quality and brand.
It's like we sell macadamia and we say it's an Australian product (even so there is not specific brand), or we say Japanese motorcycles so people recognise this a better product for both reliability and resell value.

  • I wish they had HIMO C26R for sale. C30R might be too tall for me…

  • What is the average range on this?

With the assist side do you need to get to a certain speed before the motor engages or it engages from stand still?

  • +1

Am I missing something, or is this one size only?

    • one size fits all? lol!

    • I think E-Bikes usually only have one size, maybe because riding position don't matter as much.

      • +1

A lot of E-bikes are available in multiple sizes. Its usually cheaper bikes/brands that come in 1 size to try to keep costs down.

    • Yep, 1 size only. They list the dimensions for the C30R Max but they don't give the effective top tube length and they don't list the dimensions in the typical methods. My guess would be that it is slightly shorter than a Medium Momentum Voya E+
After sales support appears to be lacking from the comments on their website.

  • anyone actually used this model?

Looking to add another bike to use with kids seats

    • From the pics it doesn't look like this has the required attachment holes for pannier racks/bike seats.
Would probably be okay for a bike trailer that attaches to the axle though…

  • +1

Originally started as an Indiegogo project. I couldn't find one happy customer for it there or for their other ebike project. But at least this one actually is in Australia, maybe, not years away from being delivered from China.

  • Anyone ride this and have any thoughts on the bike? Would love to read a brief review :)

  • Anyone know a good rear rack that would go well with this bike? That's the only thing missing for me!

  • +2

    dont buy from them

I bought an ebike and one side break wasnt working, the bike started rusting, it was starting to go by itself sometimes even without pedalling, the part of the stand is literally made from thermocol. highly undurable, very poor service I had to return it to get refund. waiting for it now. never buying from panami ever again.

    • Which bike did you buy? The one in this deal or another brand?
How long have you been waiting for the refund?

  • Do not expect this retailer to honor warranties. You'll get lost within their internal ticketing system, be asked numerous times for the same information, be asked stupid reputative questions, if you make it through that you'll then be stuck with radio silence for months. Eventually you'll end up with consumer affairs and the other relevant government departments. They'll tell you there's nothing they can do and Panmi pty ltd are unresponsive. You'll be advised to take up a case with NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal however if you live out of NSW you're stuck with going to the magistrates court to get a ruling for costs. You'll end up spending in the $$$'s to get this and then it's likely this ruling for costs will be ignored. My opinion is to not order from Panmi ever again or purchase any of the products they distribute.

    See: https://au.trustpilot.com/review/panmi.com.au

    • -2

You've spammed this elsewhere already. So what was your issue?

      • Your definition of Spam is pretty interesting. I'm only warning people. But go-on order from them and have a great experience. Or not.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/797921

        • -1

You didn't answer the question. There's no point giving a wall of text when we don't even know what your issue is.

Linking a review page isn't very credible because people are more likely to share bad experiences than good. For example OzBargain has significantly more bad reviews. Should we completely avoid this website?

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/797921

So the Viomi vacuum has a faulty battery after 12 months. Panmi offer replacement batteries and refunds. That's good customer service! Taking into account Panmi and Viomi are different companies. We don't blame JB HiFi for Apple's "Batterygate".

          • @Clear: I listed my issue in that thread. I had multiple issues and Panmi did nothing to help with all the issues I had.

Panmi sell Viomi into the Australian market, they're responsible for the warranty.

I contacted Panmi for my warranty claims and at no point was I offered 'Panmi offer replacement batteries and refunds.'

So your claims are not conclusive.

On top of it all, I can hand on heat say I've had multiple awful experiences with Panmi.

Can you hand on heat say you've had any experiences, let alone positive? I've got the gov correspondence to support my claim. Do you? Show us your amazing warranty claims. I suspect not :)

If you do, I'll call your bluff. Show us.

            • -2

@BrutusB: Now that's how you do it. Just going around saying there's issues and linking Trustpilot with 3 reviews doesn't hold any weight. Explaining like you just did is more believable.

              • @Clear: My apologies. Check the google reviews. Much the same.

Anyway, where's your personal example (with proof) of great warranty service?

Oh, and your hand on the heart testimony of how great they are as a company :)
