Hi everyone long time lurker, first time poster so please let me know if I've messed anything up.

To be fully transparent, the discount code -to my knowledge- is an affiliate code for a youtuber.
I'm personally not affiliated in any capacity with them, and only have the code listed as it provides the biggest discount.

As far as eskate companies go, Acedeck are fairly new to the scene but offer an amazing value for the price.
The S3 is a flexy deck style longboard (Boosted Board-esque), and the Mini is a stiff deck shortboard with identical components outside of their decks.

In terms of specs:

  • 13s2p (54.6v) 373wh Samsung 40T Battery
(For those that don't know, in the 21700 category these are second only to the Molicel P42A's - They're good quality cells)
  • Dual 1500w 6355 Belt Driven Motors
(6355 referring to the motor size of 63mm x 55mm)
  • Acedeck's custom ESC rated for 40A continuous discharge & 50A peak
(Board's top speed will be ~45km/h depending on weight)

This board should comfortably get you ~25km range on a single charge. More if you don't ride like an idiot.
Worth noting is that they deliver from their domestic warehouse, so the board should only take 1-10 days depending on your locality.

As always please wear a helmet!
If anyone has any questions or wants any advice please hit me up in the comments and I'll do my best to help you out!

**Edit
The shipping policy of Acedeck is out of date, if you scroll down on the page itself it shows the availability of domestic delivery in Australia.
If you go to check out the option is available there also.

I got a second hand Evolve from someone who had fallen off and no longer wanted to ride it, you see them for sale all the time from people who have got hurt and given up. It was cheaper than this and in like new condition.

    • Username checks out ;) Really depends which Evolve board you're buying 2nd hand. The newer Hadeans have finally switched to more sensible cells, but I wouldn't touch the older models with the flexy flat packs. There's a reason the market for battery repairs is so huge on the older models.

I have been building ebike batteries for years so I'm sure I'll be fine.

        • Oh nice! Although the average Joe isn't going to go out and spend $xxx for a good spot welder and the right materials, plus the weeks/months of research and study required to safely build their own. I've personally built my own battery packs and as you know it takes a huge amount of time and research upfront to do correctly utilising best practices. Most people are better off buying a product which isn't inherently flawed from the getgo.

          • @Dubious speculation: I honestly don't think the problem is as bad as it is made out to be, evolve sell more boards so they get more failures. It'd be interesting to know the actual failure rate.
