        I think Steam grift card is different as you couldn’t buy steam games directly at eb games.

      You can't get a refund on preorder deposits. Whether that's $10 or the full $100 is an argument you'll likely have.

        You absolutely can, and I have done it numerous times, whenever they'd do extra trade value toward preorders, I have taken loads of games in, thrown them on literally any preorder that's a good few months or more down the line, left the store, then next time I'm in, cancelled the orders and cashed out.

            @cosmicjul: I know about the actual cash for trades now (which is great), I meant when they specifically gave you extra credit if you traded toward a preorder.

                @King Steuart: To be fair, I've heard it's mostly a Melbourne thing, not necessarily every state. But yeah, I've done a few since the lockdown days and they've all let me get cash. Don't even ask, just say put my card into the Eftpos (whenever it's over a couple hundred they make you do that, otherwise you could get cash)

    Sadly, I never got my voucher in the end. I made 3 preorders totalling well over $100 but nothing.
    Guess preorders didn’t count, even though it said nothing about that as a qualifying purchase (only mentioned it in regards to how you can use the voucher) aw well. Anyone else ?

      I just sent them an email and got this reply.

      — Hi there,

      — Thank you for contacting us!

      — We are currently looking into this for you, but it appears there may be an issue with this system so please sit tight while we get this resolved.

      — Data is currently being complied and your gift card will be provided to you in the coming in the next 1-2 weeks.

      — We appreciate your continued patience during this time.

        UPDATE: They got back to me and said the only way you qualify for the voucher is if the preorder DEPOSIT is more than $100. My deposit was only $60 (even though the total order was over $100) so Apparently I don’t qualify 🙄 gonna get a refund and preorder the items on Amazon instead where it’s cheaper now lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

          Just got my gift card today :)

          I contact both support via the above customer service enquiry form and via FB Messenger.

          The enquiry support said they would investigate and advise in 1-2 wks.
          FB messenger said no due to other conditions outlined with how my preorder was placed.

      Oops just re-read the email and now they’re saying (retroactively) that they advertised this promotion saying preorders don’t count 😏 (fyi actually says you can’t use the gift card for preorders) ah well. Waste of time ☹️

    I never received my $25 gift card. I messaged them a few days ago through Facebook Messenger, but I haven't heard back yet. Perhaps they have a lot of people who have tried contacting them about issues and they're taking time to reply to everyone :(

    Thanks for the idea to email support @y8j31, I received my gift card today. The gift card is valid for 14 days from the date of issue (today).
