Gaming laptop deal of the year.
Better than the Harvey Norman deal last .. November?

  • +3

Snagged one, $871.40 with afterpayday code
    Thanks op

  • @easternculture

    Thanks OP

    thanks op

  • -7

Any code for more discount please?. Is this best for everyday use? TIA

    • +5

64% off.. asks for more discount..

      • -1

        Why not?

        • This is ozbargain… If there was another discount people would've pointed it out

      • +3

While clearly having very little clue about the product/space…

  • -4

CPU R23 Multicore ~12000 , roughly 12% lower than regular 6800H, this model has some performance issues, buyers should be aware.Regardless still good price.

    • +2

youtube review had it at 13156….

      • -1

I'm talking about its actual performance in real world retails, not tune up machines for paid reviews.

        • +1

do you actually have this laptop?
          maybe you have misconfigured something

    • -5

Some just want a good deal..not necessarily for gaming. 12% less my b*tt

    • Still a decent score my Ryzen 5700X with PBO 2 on a 140 watt limit gets slightly over 16000 in Cinebench R23 multi-core, this CPU is probably using 1/3 he power for that score.

gogogo boys and girls read my name

    Buy now, regret later

  • +1

Amazing share. Thank you OP. Staying up paid off 😊

  • +1

Thanks op was able to grab one. For the price nothing to complain abt tbh

  • Forgot to add the code. Do eBay do a partial refund by any chance?

    • should be able to cancel order within 30 minutes

  • +2

I should not have bothered with after pay. Oh well . Didn't need it anyway

    • Same only let me have $600 limit because I'm new, even though I was going to pay it off instantly anyways.

      • You can split payment

  • Just a heads up to buyers do some reading around touch pad issues with this model apparently they aren’t grounded properly and cause issues. People have had to make their own fix but something to keep in mind.

    • Apparently that was on the 2021 model and is no longer an issue in this 2022 model. Correct me if I'm wrong

      • i think this is the 2021 model from my research, correct me if i’m wrong

        • i think this is the 2022 model. correct me if i'm wrong

        • I don’t think the 2021 model has ddr5 ram. Correct me if I’m wrong

        • You guys are right, I got confused with all the youtube review titles

  • +1

What a ripper product for the price! Great find OP!

  • +5

Back in stock got one! 01:35am

  • +1

    Woke up, can’t read…bought, don’t need.

    • Get the 4090 version too.

  • Back to business at 145am got1 op

Buy now think later but no regret

Not quite sure Omen brand notorious for some reason compared to legion series y7000p y9000

But I know the price difference. Otherwise no such discount

Ddr5 for later expansion and not nvidia 40xx series. That's exactly what I am looking for

    • what’s wrong with 40xx?

      • Well, imo

        When only concern nvidia card.
Not much improvement in terms of fps/$ wise? Correct me if i am wrong, come across many tech blogs, reviews. Kind of like buying iphone 14 after ip 15 launch?

  • Back in stock

    • +2

      And out again

      • Back again? (No)

        • Nope still out

  • Damnit they've now completely removed the product page. It's over for good now.

    • Link works for me and still in stock.

      • Page came up, but I'm still seeing "This item is out of stock."

        • Yep you're right.

  • anyone know the tdp for the 3060 here?

  • Hey your choice. I bought. Read reviews after. For less then half price its a Bargain. Me? Only work use. Everyday apps. No data crunching. No gaming. Every day WFH use.

    • +4

Weird choice for every day WFH use tbh. Your demands basically sound like like web use, Microsoft apps and emails?

  • Any advice on how to remove the gaming bloatware from laptop for everyday work use please? TIA

    • +2

      Fresh install of windows. Done.

    • +3

Upgrade from Windows 11 to Windows 10.

  • Oos @ 3:33am

  • How many nits screen?

  • Is it possible to game with only 6gb vram these days?

    • on fhd? no problem there

      • Skipped. I don't plan on gaming on the move and power brick and weight are crap for travel.

        • -3

during covid lockdowns (lucky melbs dwella) I've gone through a dozen of gaming laptops because it was tons cheaper than building a desktop with comparable performance

last thing I bought was an L5p with 3070 Ti. price was great, I got cashback and everything, was super happy for 2 days

then I sold it on, got a cool margin on it, too, and bought an Xbox Series X, elite controller, and later also built a gaming desktop all within the money I got from selling that Lenovo.

I have since renounced myself as the king of gaming laptops and won't look at those till the next pandemic lol

this is a really good deal, and so was 3080 omen, but nah I wouldn't get one now. during lockdown I would have been all over this tho lol

worth noting however that the omen I got during pandemic times was faulty: would crash consistently after 15-20 minutes of gaming, so I returned the damn thing

          • @shabaka: Yeah this one was tempting just because the value but at the end of the day I would rather spend the money on something I'd actually use. I'm still using an old XPS15 for my travel needs.

            • +1

@reactor-au: yup, "gaming" "laptop" is certainly not a mainstream thing, and anyone considering one should be aware of tradeoffs.

they don't last long, they are huge and heavy, power bricks are comically large, and they get loud when gaming.

they are usually downgraded mobile workstations or (in the budget sector) half arsed chipsets on top of slightly higher tdp CPUs

17 inchers are best performers as they have more room for much needed cooling, but even those sound like helicopters when gaming. nah, not getting any.

  • How does this compare to steam deck?

    • ?

Completely different beasts, if you're talking raw performance then this by a wide, wide margin

But one's a handheld, one isn't? Depends on your needs?

  • Excellent price. Screen brightness sucks but otherwise for a basic gaming machine amazing deal for those up at 2am.

  • Missed out again :( OOS now

  • +1

    Bugger.

  • -2

Lasted 40 minutes, didn't need it but would have got it.

  • Hope they restock again

  • +3

Don't need it but bought 1.
    Cancelled it after second thoughts!
Better leave it for those who needs it.

  • +3

  • Can I claim GST at TRS for laptop bought on eBay?

    • Yeh if you get a tax invoice

    • Yes. Bought a laptop off ebay before. So long as you get a tax invoice. You claim trs on it. Provided you are within the timeframe of departure.

    • +2

It is not a scam. I was looking at this around midnight and spent more than 30 minutes thinking about it or not. During that time I could see that the number sold kept increasing until it showed almost gone. I took the bullet and bought it.

During that time, I can see that the HP website still selling this at a higher price. Then looking at the comment, it was back in stock again for a short period of time, and once it was out of stock, I could see that the HP website also showing out of stock, so HP even allocated their website stocks to their eBay store.

Also if you look at the number of people comments that successfully bought the item and the number of + in the posting, then it is not a scam.

Please remember this is OzB. You snooze you lose. buy first think later method needs to be used on any bargains posted in here

    • They sold a lot. The other models were also cleared out. They’re getting rid of 2022 stock it seems so would have sold hundreds.

    • I take my comment above back and have giving you an upvote (if it lets me) after what happened.

  • Always miss these :'(

    • -5

      Back in stock

      • No it isn't

      • You can't add to cart, eBays interface with OOS is bad.

        • My bad, I'm sorry to break hearts. Fooled by eBay's 1990s interface

      • No it isn't, you're killing me man
