Edit: Just tried to get the free month, you do need to give them payment info since
the small print states it will auto-renew when the free month expires.everyone gets different offers depending on location and more importantly payment history…

I think OP needs to edit there description when even the picture they uploaded says that it will 'auto renew at the current price'.
I think there is a very good chance this is just the bonus free month you can get when you sign up for gold.
My guess would be that the OP's details for payment are already associated with their account and given the terms are listed on the page they showed when he pressed 'A' to confirm the OP agreed to let XBOX charge him.
