40% off nbn Plans for The First 12 Months for Select CommBank Yello Member @ More Telecom

1470

This deal is part of the Commbank Yello personalised offers. Click to read about eligibility.

Terms PDF

The offer of 40% off the standard retail price of a More nbn® plan for 12 months is only available to eligible Yello customers that are part of the Home Owner benefit set (see section 5), who do not have any current More services, and who complete sign up between 3/08/2023 and 30/06/2024 by entering a unique offer code at checkout and using a CommBank credit or debit card as their online bill payment method.

The 12 discounted months is a promotional period that commences from the day your eligible nbn® service is activated. After this, the cost of your plan will revert to the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) current at that time, subject to an ongoing 10% discount off the plan RRP for as long as you use a CommBank credit or debit card as your online bill payment method. The RRPs of More nbn® plans are available on the More website and are subject to change in accordance with More’s Standard Form of Agreement.

Came across this while checking out the CBA Yello features.
It came with a code to verify the pricing.. not sure if this is a unique code or not.. The code is unique to you. Have confirmed through my partner's account and the code I see through their app is different to what I remember seeing from my account.
Unfortunately after clicking through to the deal and getting the prices, the offer isn't appearing in my available offers in Yello anymore and I can't confirm any other details. I remember seeing that this offer is available as long as you are an eligible Yello member and will run until some time in 2024 (April? Again.. can't confirm the dates as I can't see the offer anymore).
Details of the offer can be seen above (thanks mods!).

Speed Promo Price Price after 12 months
25/5Mbps $39.60 per month for 12 months $66 per month thereafter
50/20Mbps $46.20 per month for 12 months $76 per month thereafter
100/20Mbps $59.40 per month for 12 months $99 per month thereafter
100/40Mbps $65.40 per month for 12 months $109 per month thereafter
250/25Mbps $71.40 per month for 12 months $119 per month thereafter
1000/50Mbps $86.40 per month for 12 months $144 per month thereafter

Edit: Direct link to More page: https://more.com.au/personal/cba-yello-nbn-offer#speeds
Will need the code to verify the pricing though.

Edit 2: I don't know how to do fancy tables… so sorry about the wall of text

Is there any difference between the 100mbps and 100/40. I thought the upload would be the same.

    • +13

      There is 100/20 and 100/40

    • +1

      i would assume 20mbps upload vs 40mbps upload …..

    • +5

"standard" nbn upload for 100mbps plans got cut from 40 to 20 a few years back sadly. Most 100mbps plans are 20 upload unless they explicitly state otherwise

  • +3

I am paying 30% off right now. Might give them a call and try.

    • +2

Let us know how you go. I’m the same. I signed up for the 30% 24month deal when it first came out. Must be coming close to the end of it now.

      • Likewise, need to know if we can switch to 40%

        • +1 except my service in Brisbane south is fairly average compared to superloop

        • I made the switch a few days ago to the 1000/50 plan. I was previously on More NBN as well and they didn't have any issues with me getting the Yello 40% off.

Paying $81 a month for 1000/50 speeds after 40% Yello discount.

      • +1

        ~5 months left

        • +1

Thanks! I’m already a CBA home loan member. Just checked Yello and the code is valid until June 2024! Will be using this when my current 24month 30% off discount runs out!

    • +1

Me too. Currently im paying $53.90 for 50/20.

      • let us know how it goes please :)

    • +1

I was thinking that too! I'm on an old plan $90 for 100/40 so it comes down to $63 with 30%.
New plan is $109/mth now which drops to $65.40.

      I'm good :D

      • Yeah so that too. OK jack is working at Commbank then.

    • report back to save me the hassles! haha

  • +1

    50Mbps - $46.20pm for 12 months ($66 thereafter)

This should be $77 thereafter, not $66. Got me excited for a minute

    • That's a pretty good deal!

    • Cheers, fixed up the typo.

  • +2

    What is Yello ?

      • -5

It's a word missing the letter "w". Was the quiz too hard? OUT!

      • +4

This ought never to have been negged

    • +4

It's a program for Commonwealth Bank Home Loan customers

    • +6

CommBank Yello is currently available to eligible customers with a CommBank home loan.

      • If i change home loans then i lose discount?

  • +1

new customers only, migght be worth churning off then back on for 40% off …

    • See below- 12 months!

  • +1

What is categorised new customer ? Was with them 6 months ago

    • +2

12 months. I have just completed my 12 month contract and they said I will have to come after 12 months to be considered as a new customer.

      • 12 months.. that's a decent timeframe

  • +3

Hi does anyone have a code they are not using and willing to share? Thanks in advance 😃

    • +1 thank you

    • I am also looking for the code.

  • How does one get an offer code?

    • +2

Sign up to a home loan

      • So this doesn't apply to credit card? Thought it used to.

  • Why there is no MORE offer in my app?

  • looking for a code if anyone is willing to share. Thanks in advance.

    • No codes - you need to set up and pay on your CommBank direct debit or CC

  • -1

    Whats yello?

    • +5

      Swiss electronic music band.

      • +1

        chick chick ah!

    • +1

All it takes is to read the description that the OP put effort in…

  • I got a discount on more when I got my CBA home loan. You sign up with a unique code and it's free internet for the most basic package. I find it really good ISP and their tech support is superb.

    • could you explain the free internet part? :)
      what plan is that on

      • +1

CommBank Discount ($77 max) - NBN Charges
        - 100% discount
        $70.00 CR

Congratulations on the settlement of your home loan. To say thanks for choosing us we’re giving you a free nbn™ plan for 3 years. That’s up to $2,772 of value for free with our partner More. Your unique offer code is G7T4V4F6Z6. Claim by 30 June 2023.

I paid 20 dollars more to get better speeds. Didn't even know that there was this offer with the home loan.

      • CBA were offering free internet for 3 years for eligible home loans.
This was only available during a certain time period.

There is currently an ongoing 30% off for CBA customers.
Then there is this 40% off offer for CBA Yello members.

  • seems targeted? im not familiar with "CBA yello" but ive checked the app and can't see the same?

[update] seems you need to have a home loan

  • I'd also like a code if anyone has and not using :)

  • I was with them when they had 30% promo. Stable service and good speeds. Looking for a code too

    • I've been happy with them too. Amd their phone support has been okay. My offer runs out in a couple of months.

  • so first I have to refinance my loan to CBA?

    • Yes.

But don't "refinance now, think later".

  • +1

Having a homeloan with CommBank makes this a poor value offer.

    • +2

      My thoughts exactly.

I realise some people had to get a home loan at a big bank, but I can't imagine the savvy folk of OzB getting an expensive loan without thinking twice.

And yet this deal gets heaps of upvotes. Feels like people don't realise the conditions of it and just blindly upvote.

For those who are actually eligible, it's a good price for the internet. But you may want to start looking to refinance your debts.

      • +2

I’ve got 13 months left on my 4 year fixed at 1.99% with CBA. Originally organised with a broker I found on ozbargain. Can I keep my membership card?

  • Any codes willing to share?

  • Unfortunately after clicking through to the deal and getting the prices, the offer isn't appearing in my available offers in Yello anymore and I can't confirm any other details.

That's my experience with the Yello offers in the app too - they seem to appear and disappear without any pattern.

I've seen this offer come up, as well as:
50% off Binge for 6 Months
25% off Kayo for 6 Months

However checking the app now, and nothing appears, check it again later today or tomorrow and some/all of the deals will there again.

    • Initially I thought the same but it actually in the app under "For You" section.

I can see BINGE and Kayo as well as Uber One but not this More NBN. Maybe it's targeted offer?

But they do say you can call up if it's missing.

      • Yes I've seen all of those including the Uber One one, but right now nothing in that position. I'll login tomorrow and some of them will show again. Can't work out if it's a bug or deliberate.

      • Have looked everywhere and can't find it at all!
Hopefully it will reappear as I didn't save my code! :(
The code appears to have cached itself on my phone browser though as it's still showing the discounted price.. I just can't see the code anywhere!
I thoguht if I saved the offer and sent it to myself via email I would be able to see it there but no luck unfortunately..

      • The offer has also now disappeared from my partner's account as well :(
The code still works though (I took a screenshot this time round)

  • Hi does anyone have a code they are not using and willing to share? Thanks in advance 😃

  • +4

Been with a few nbn providers, but more was very bad for me. Especially in the evenings. Sometimes dropping to ~2 mbps. I was in 100mbps plan, i think

  • +1

Has anyone been with MORE NBN and then cycled back successfully?

    • I was with MORE in NSW then cancelled and moved to VIC. I reinstated my account in VIC after 2 months (my partner was paying internet during those 2 months) and was able to continue the discounts.

      • with the same Credit card?

Im curious as I have finished my 12 motnhs with them, and want to return after 6-8 months hoping for the 12 months discount again.

        • Yes with the same card.

  • Ive been with them and receiving the discount for a while, the internet service is good but their website is a bit crap at times.

  • Doss More need your input of username and password in the modem setup to authenicate connection?

    • +2

      PPPoE? Yes they use it.

    • They used to but my observations over the last couple of days on 2 different devices over two accounts indicate that one no longer needs to add Username and Password.

Account 1 (HFC) = A default factory reset Modem/Router which had Telstra's Username and Password preset in User & Password. It connected to More just fine without changing credentials.
Account 2 (FTTN) = Friend switched from Belong to Tangerine (same as More). The account churned and the existing in place Belong modem switched without the need to adjust Username/Password.

In turn I don't think the Username and Password do much anymore and most likely linked to the NBN Modem or Node ID's. Handy and easier!

      • Oh thank goodness. I can possibly remove this then. (HFC)

  • If anyone have a code but not going to use please PM me. Thanks in advance.

  • Which provider does More use for international links?

    • +1

      Vocus.

      • +3

Thanks that's a skip for me

  • +2

Lots of dropouts, horribly slow speed in peak times, below par service.. quality of their service is as cheap as its price

    • +1

Never had issues with More NBN here in Sydney. Where are you located?

      • I have never had any problems too I am on their 250 plan get more then that every day

    • That's true, tried before, terrible speed.

    • Works well for me in Canberra on 50/20. I mostly care about upload speeds for wfh and can't justify the price jump to 100/40. Their 20 up seems reliable.

    • Not even cheap after the 12months promo.

    • Wish I had read this. Just switched today from Leaptel 500/50 who seem to overprovision and speed tests hit 520/49 or even higher regardless of time of day.
Now on 1000/50 and getting 250/40

Fasted has been about 280 down. Shocking to get under 1/3rd of the speed.

Great price but is it really if you’re not getting what you paid for?

  • Ah bugger, we’ve got a home loan through CBC for dumb reasons but we don’t use the transaction account at all.
Might try and fire it up. If anyone has a code to share in the meantime I’ll be sure to pass it forward when I finally get one for me

  • Anyone can share a spare code please? Thanks.

  • +1

Thanks for the description clean up mods!

  • I have been using them for 2 years now and can only say good things no drop outs I am on the 250 plan get speeds close to 260 btw I am on FTTP

  • +1

how do you know if you're eligible for yello? I see the tab on my app but when i click on it it just goes to the introduction screen.

I thought i fulfilled the criteria they needed..

    • It automatically enrols you into the program once you've hit the requirements.
At least that's what happened to me

  • More just raised prices mid contract. Wasn’t sure that was possible!?

  • Anyone have issues using More with HFC NBN?

    • +1

      None

    • +1

Nope. Been with them for the last 10 months.

  • +1

I got this when it was 50% off. No problems so far.

  • -2

    That's an expensive gigabit plan

    • $86 for 1000/50 is considered expensive?
