      • No worries!
Do you guys offer any coverage sims for Switzerland?

        • Not in the eSIM range at the moment, but we do have a couple of options in Physical SIMs for Switzerland.

You can check out the 37GB or either of the 10GB or the 12GB which will all work in Switzerland 😊

  • Hi Simsdirect, I just bought 2 SE Asia esims and 1 Europe Sim, it told me to put a trip date for the europe sim but on the confirmation email the date is on 1 of my SE asia esims? Will this be an issue?

    • Hey @pingualien

Should be no dramas - the eSIM you have just requires you to scan the QR code to activate. Happy to check the date on the Europe SIM though if you wanted to shoot through your order number to [email protected] 😊

      -Anna

  • Perfect timing, thank you
Got a trip to SG /MY in 2 weeks and the dent esim didnt work for me.

    • Amazing @Sethenon

Love it when things just work out!

Hope you have an amazing trip 😊

  • Hi SimsDirect, good timing, i was looking for an eSim Service for India and Nepal, 30 days, which option is the best?

    • +1

      Hey @Shenzimtk

We don't have an eSIM that covers India and Nepal right now! We do however have a physical SIM option though, our Tourist SIM. Just a heads up though, this one is 15 days only.

      Hope that helps! 😊

      -Anna

  • Hey @SimsDirect, I want to check before buying but If I but 2 x Japan eSims, Can activate only one when I arrive, and then activate the second one when I run out of data on the first eSim?

    • +1

      Hey @ryefig

Yup, that's absolutely fine! Just keep the email with your QR code handy for when you're ready to start using the second eSIM - easy peasy 😎

      -Anna

  • Hi. I'm looking at getting the 10GB Japan eSim but can't find a date it needs to be actived before by. When's the last date I can activate?
    Thanks

    • Hey @nap enthusiast

These eSIMs are super easy - you can just scan the QR code when you're ready to go, no expiry date! 😊

      -Anna

  • Apart from this, remmember Felix offering $20 recharge for 4Gb+60 mins call that last 365 days (esim available), 40 countries incl. Japan.
Basically, if you need a bit less data + longer expiry + more coverage, Felix is better.

    • 60 mins call

      just checked, it is 4GB + 100 mins + 100 SMSs.

    • Hey @OrangeBJ

That does sound like a pretty good deal especially with the 100mins of calls included.

For the folks who are after a bit more data, our 10Gb is a good option as well 😊

      -Anna

    • That's for an international roaming pack if you're already on a Felix mobile plan ($35/month).

Decent compared to other mobile providers international roaming packs, but their Australian mobile plan may not suit everyone.

      • That's for an international roaming pack if you're already on a Felix mobile plan ($35/month).

No need an active plan as I am using now.

        • "No need an active plan as I am using now."

          Not sure I understand.

          • @opposablethumbs: I am using Felix international roaming $20 pack without an active Felix plan (ie $35 pm)

            • @OrangeBJ: How?

              https://felixmobile.com.au/plan/international-roaming

              "International Roaming
              Add-on to your felix plan
              $20"

"You'll be able to add International Roaming to your felix plan at any time in the felix app, once you're an active customer."

              • @opposablethumbs: Just recharge the roaming package even when you don't have an active plan. It allowed me to do so few months back and the international pack is still usable until now.

                • @OrangeBJ: So you were active with Felix, before you got the international roaming pack?

Are you with another provider for your mobile now?

                  • @opposablethumbs: My Felix plan had already expired before I recharged the roaming pack a few months ago. Someone can try now and update?

                    • @OrangeBJ: I'm still confused, but genuinely interested as an option.

My take is that you can't get the international roaming pack with Felix unless you have an account with them (either active or inactive).

That means that you must use them for at least a month on their mobile plan as an active user, but then even if inactive you can add on the international roaming pack, but this needs verfication from other users.

Sounds like a loophole that will probably close up at some point.

I'm happy with my current mobile prepaid setup, so for me not sure it is worth switching to Felix for just a month to get this. YMMV

                    • @OrangeBJ: Also confused with how you will use their international roaming pack if you are with another mobile provider.

Can you confirm that you have used this overseas even after your account became inactive?

                      • @opposablethumbs:

Also confused with how you will use their international roaming pack if you are with another mobile provider.

I never use Felix as the main number, just use when I need data. Left it expired then added roaming pack. You can track roaming usage in the app.

Can you confirm that you have used this overseas even after your account became inactive?

                        Yes, first hand experience.

                        • @OrangeBJ: Which means you still have a Felix number even though your account is inactive?

                          Still confused :-).

                          • @opposablethumbs: For any provider, they normally keep your number for you a certain time after your credit expire.
The number is still there. Just you cannot call/text (send or recieve), then if recharge it for a month, you can fully use the number again.

                            • @OrangeBJ: Yes, but I doubt they'd keep it for the maximum 365 days of your international roaming package.

Also confused about "credit expiring" - isn't Felix a monthly paid plan?

            • @OrangeBJ: Is there usually cheap start up deal? Would like roaming for that price

      • Some people signed up when they had a free month promo code, paused the subscription, and then paid $20 for the roaming pack.

Also, monthly fee for Felix will be changing to $40 soon for new joiners.

  • Hey Sims direct. After the 10gb data in Japan Sim..the data still works with limited speed ?
Is there a Japan Sim with lots of data for 30 days ?

    • +1

      Hey @akula

The SIMs are one time use only and can't be topped up so once the data runs out, the SIM will stop working.

For both our Japan SIMs and eSIMs they come in 10GB for 30 days - depending what you're after the 10GB should be heaps!

      Hope that helps! ❀️

      -Anna

  • Used their japan esim this february in my samsung and it worked flawlessly even on the ski fields. Was still able to get my vodafone calls and sms.

    • Amazing to hear @sonicentropy !

Sounds like an amazing trip (hope the skiing wasπŸ‘Œ!!) and thanks so much for the love! ❀️

      -Anna

    • I'm a bit confused, how were you still able to get your Vodafone calls and sms? I thought the Japan sim was data only?

  • We're going on a 3 month Middle East/Mediterranean cruise from May next year visiting lots of small islands that belong to Greece/Italy/France - does 71 country EU Travel sim card work on these islands, such as Santorini, Crete etc?

For the Middle East countries we're visiting, your website says the Data only Sims need to be activated by the 31st of January 2024 - is that right cause that's only 5 months away and we're travelling May 24?

    • +1

      hey @howdydood

Sounds like an amazing trip! For the EU SIM, we generally don't run into too many issues on the Islands - it's dependant on how close you are to the Cell Towers but we've had definitely had customers use them there without any hassles 😊
For the Middle East SIMs these ones will need to be activated by the 31/01/24, but we'll be getting more of these ones in stock as we get closer to January, which will have a later expiry date. Happy to give the sale price if you wanted to grab them then!

      -Anna

      • Thanks Anna - re Middle East ones, how would I claim the sale price when the new stock is available closer to January?

  • planning a trip to NZ this november, can I buy an esim in advance and activate it in november?

    • Hey @polarq

You absolutely can grab the eSIM in advance and activate it in November! You'll just need to scan the QR code when you land in πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ

      -Anna

      • Thank you!

        • No worries! πŸ€™

  • Hi,

It says Thailand physical SIM must be activated by 31/12/2023, can you extend this?

    • Hey @Bearlion

For the Thailand SIM we wouldn't be able to extend the activation date however, we also have the
SE Asia SIM & the Japan SIM which both work in Thailand and have an activation expiry date of the 31/12/2024 - which would give you heaps more time!

      -Anna

  • Wow the HK 30 day esim sold out already. Any chance of restocking?

    • Hey @vee_el

Looks like the 20GB is currently sold out (they go fast during sale time but we'll restock as soon as we can!) but the HK 25GB still has stock ready to go. The 25GB lasts for 90 days as well so a bit of extra data and extra time to use it in!

      -Anna

  • Hi Anna, can I buy the USA Sim now and activate it in December? Will I be able to activate it here or after reaching US ? Thanks.

    • +1

      Hey @akula

Yep, you sure can grab it now while the price is πŸ”₯

Your best bet is to activate it once you land in the US (in fact we strongly recommend it - it avoids any potential activation issues if you're already on the ground!πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

      -Anna

  • I'm going to Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong and China. Is there a 30 day option for those countries that include calls and data?

    • hey @NoApostrophePlurals

Wow sounds like an amazing trip!!

We have the Tourist SIM which covers all of your destination countries but it's a data only/15 day SIM. You can grab two though, to cover the full 30 days if need be!

We don't currently have any SIMs that cover all of these countries that includes calls though unfortunately! You can however take advantage of data only apps like WhatsApp or Facetime to make calls 😊

      -Anna

  • Hi AnnaπŸ‘‹
I am planning a 6 weeks holidays to: Chile, Brazil, Argentina (3 weeks), Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and USA.
I wanted to get the https://simsdirect.com.au/collections/europe/products/uk-eur… but it doesn't include Argentina or Bolivia.

    • Hey @hunterxhanzo πŸ‘‹

We unfortunately don't have any SIMs that cover Bolivia at the moment, but besides the SIM you linked above, I can suggest our Tourist SIM which covers all the countries you're after except Bolivia.

Just a heads up though it is only a 15 day SIM, so if need coverage for your whole trip, you might want to grab a few!

      -Anna

  • Will esim work for z Flip5 in Japan? I don't see in the compatibility list

    • Hey @khmerunited

Yep, you absolutely can use an eSIM with z Flip5 😊 We'll make sure it get it updated on the compatibility list as well!!

      -Anna

      • Thanks Anna that is a peace of mind.

        • My pleasure!! 😊

  • Hi Anna, when i add multiple sims, it seems to be applying the 25% discount on the 1st sim only, the 2nd and subsequent ones are at full price.

    • Yes won't stack if add more than 1.

      So had to reorder individually.

    • Hey @haz

The 25% should apply to the whole cart once you've added more than 1 product, but if you've got multiple SIMs, the discount should still work out to be the same.

Just did a bit of a test run and seems to be working ok on our end - more than happy to have a further look into it if it's not applying the overall discount for you though!

      -Anna

  • Hi Anna, Do you know whether the south america SIM card covers for Bolivia? It does not explicitly mention Bolivia

    • Hey @khoacompetition123

Unfortunately we don't currently have any coverage for Bolivia on any of our SIMs! Really sorry about that ❀️

      -Anna

  • I'd like to support you but your only USA eSIM isn't suitable, it's A$56 after discount, and I get that its unlimited, but Instabridge does USA eSIM with 30 days/10GB for A$19.60.

  • Used an eSim bought from SimsDirect on my recent Europe trip, worked very well and didn't have any issues. There were a couple of carrier sms which warned you to "register" or "activate your account" (in French), which you can ignore.

    • +1

      Hey @Mr Fusi0n

So good to hear! Hope you had an amazing trip & thanks heaps for the good vibes & love! ❀️😎

      -Anna

  • I've bought two EU sim cards and I chose 2 dates 30 days apart for activation - how will I know which SIM to use first? Thanks

    • +1

      hey @howdydood

When you get the SIMs in the mail they'll actually come with the individual activation dates written on the packaging so it will make it super easy to tell which is which 😊

      -Anna

  • Bugger, literally bought 10gb 30 days for EU on sat, posted this mornig. Should have waited. Anything you can do rep??

    • +3

      Hey @Anestitos

No worries at all - more than happy to give it to you at the sale price 😎 if you wanna shoot your order number through to [email protected] we'll refund you the difference

      -Anna

  • Appreciate it rep. will do.

    • +1

      Pleasure!!! 😊

  • Hey Anna,
    https://simsdirect.com.au/collections/europe

keeps redirecting me to the USA sim page.

    • Hey @lordra

Hmmm that doesn't seem right - can you refresh your browser and try this link instead?

Let me know how you go!

      -Anna

      • Thanks. I tried on another device, and another browser, but on the same network and got the same thing.
        Now I get:
        504 Gateway Time-out
        nginx
        Oh well, I'll try later.
        Cheers.

        • Oh no! If you want to shoot an email over to [email protected] the team will be able to place the order for you - don't want you to miss out on the sale!

  • I added the ESIM, but without enabling it. Does that count as an activation?

    • +1

      hey @bargainhunt1

You should be fine - generally the eSIM needs to connect to the network in one of the covered countries to activate - the only eSIM you may run into problems with is if it's one of the NZ eSIMs as that one is able to be activated from Australia.

      Hope that helps! 😊

      -Anna

  • Hi Anna,
I am planning a trip to NZ in February 2024, can I buy a physical SIM in advance and activate it in February 2024?
    Cheers.

    • Hey @Roger75

Yep, you sure can! Our NZ physical SIMs have no expiry date so it will be ready to go when you are ✈️😊

  • hi Op, for USA eSim, albeit it says unlimited, will there be a data cap which will slow down your internet speed ? Or it will be 5G speed unlimited through out the 30 days duration?

    • Hey @SeiraS πŸ‘‹

No data caps for this one 😊 You'll have 5G for your normal data and 3G for hotspot and tethering

      -Anna

      • sweet, thanks Anna

  • USA, Canada has sold out. Any chance of getting more???

    • Same question, will they be restocked before the sale ends??

Or will you sell them and ship when you have stock — need 2 for mid October.

Also will these AT&T sims work if their first activation is in Canada (only planning to go to the US at the end of the trip)

    • Hey @maddoglee

Good news! We should have these ones back in stock tomorrow 😊

We also do have this USA SIM which does have an option for an add on for Canada which might also suit what your after?

      -Anna

  • Hi OP,
Trying to purchase a couple of the New Zealand 30 day Unlimited SIMs listed above for $59.25 each.
But they come up as $63.75 on your website.
    Cheers

    • Hey there @mikeywa πŸ‘‹

Thanks heaps for flagging - I can see that it's definitely not updating correctly with the discount. Looks like there might be a bug in the system! πŸͺ² I've raised it with our team and I'll shoot you through an update as soon as we've got it fixed

      -Anna

      • Same problem. Please let me know when it is fixed, Thanks!

        • Will do @Roger75 !!! I'll get back to you all as soon as I can

          • @SimsDirect: Looks like we're back in business! Let me know if you run into any other issues 😎

      • Hi again - good news! Looks like the issue has been resolved now. You can jump on and get your NZ SIMS! 😊

        • The New Zealand 30-day Unlimited SIMs listed above for $59.25 each. But they come up as $63.75 on your website.
So how much for this SIM?
If $59.25 each is correct then you have not fixed it.

6GB 12 days in Indonesia for 26.25$ is a sale???
You can get 14gb for bali for $20 regular price on travelkon, and 15 gb on ebay travelsims for $22.

  • Hi,
Amazing deal, me and my partner are going to London and France in August next year. Can I buy the sim now and activate it next august, or is that too late?

      Hey @Darkjimick

Yep, that should be absolutely fine! None of our EU/UK physical or eSIMs have an expiry date so you'll be good to go 😊

Thanks heaps for the good vibes! πŸ€™

  • Looks like a pretty trash price for a Fiji Sim, can get a 20gig or 50gig one when you get to the airport cheaper.

    • Hey @redfox1200

That's true - some people do indeed find it easier to grab a SIM from the airport before they leave! 😊
Others prefer to have it set up beforehand - just a matter of personal preference

  • Is there a difference between the Japan sim and the SEA sim?

    • Hey @CoreNex

These SIMs will actually work in the same places 😊 Same choice of data limit and same price as well!
