Not an ATL but a decent discount from RRP. I wouldn’t mind copping a pair but the price is still comical for my liking. No news of the AirPods Max 2. Yes, we know, they don’t have the same features as the AirPods Pro 2 given the H1 chip. Oh and just in case you were wondering, space is grey according to Apple.

      Incredible, what with all the analysis and scoring that makes it all very clear exactly what they're conveying and why…

      RTings place no value in subjective qualities, which in absence of better methodologies, capture quite a bit about the way the driver in the headphone performs when using more complex audio than a test tone. There is a dip in the mid-range, but it's audible in a way that's not detracting due to the range it's in, and it can be EQ'd out a bit by their phone app.

      A couple of google searches will completely knock this on the head for you, but you can cling to your single number metric, even though their testing shows the Focal driver is far and away better in terms of phase matching than what Apple have produced.

      Here's a proper review, one which makes mention of the Airpods Max in the concluding remarks. Technical reproduction of the sound is far better on the Bathys.

      If you're not in need of ANC, I'd suggest the Audeze Maxwell for even better value for money.

    The way I see it is, if you exclusively use an iPhone, get the AirPods Max.
    If you chop and change between iOS and Android like I do, get the XM5.

  As much as I love apple products, Bose or Sony XMs are definitely a better choice.
