Yep this, PS5 PRO should take another few years for announcement, then will be fraught with supply issues and pricing will be high, so might be able to pick one up in the next 5-7 years. Worth the wait.

I get your point but the release pattern and current rumours does place the PS5 Pro or slim within the next few months. Probably Christmas shopping release. It’s worth just knowing to help make a decision.
I mean ideally you would have bought it on release for around this price, played it for 3 years already, then when the pro eventually gets released and marked down, you could sell your existing PS5 and get a PS5 pro if you need to.

Yup the PS4 pro released in 2016 , 3 years after the PS4, but back then Sony didn’t drip feed the market to maintain its price margins like they do now

The series X redesign isn't really what I would call a slim… they changed it from a rectangle to a cylinder and short-changed everyone an optical drive.
Throughout my time with consoles, it's often been the optical drive that fails first, I know what you're saying though. Nice to have the option.

Not much difference, but highly suggest giving other games a go - PS has tons of exclusives (well now not so much) which are amazing and you'll likely enjoy playing a lot of them.
