What's the difference between these two:

Edit: I believe it’s the same thing, just older stock.

If you don't need one immediately, maybe hang tight - new model controller inbound H1 next year (maybe)…

Yeah I'd wait if you want the added haptic feedback and other upgrades to match up to DualSense, as detailed in the FTC leaks.

      • +2

Surely they'd be more premium/cost more? Like they'd offer them as a different tier, whilst retaining these controllers.

        • +1

It'll probably cost more, yes, but perhaps they'll slot the leaked/upcoming 'Sebile' controller between these existing first gen controllers currently on sale and the inevitable Xbox Pro Controller V3 in price, as they may not have the customization aspects of the latter.

        • I would say slightly more, but unlikely to be more than the PS5 controllers RRP I'd say, probably the same.

        • These are definitely replacing the original as the new default Xbox controller. Only disappointing thing is they still don’t support gyro. Been waiting for that since 2016

    • With the PS5 controller features it should have had in the first place.

  • Do these work with Xbox one or only Xbox series S/X?

  • -3

Do I need a Xbox series to do that? I need controllers for the kids xbox one, seeing if this would work. Unlike the PlayStation it's hard to know what works with what on Xbox.

Quickly pair with, play on, and switch between devices including Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, Android, and iOS. Plug in any compatible headset with the 3.5mm audio jack.

Disclaimer: Won't work with any home made submarines.

        • What about Logitech F710

Xbox One shit works on Xbox One and Xbox Series.
Xbox Series shit works on Xbox One and Xbox Series.

      Simples.

    • Unlike the PlayStation

What is more confusing about Xbox?

I think he means the backwards compatibility. I love PlayStation, but the fact that I can't reuse my old controllers on a new console is very disappointing.

        Not sure about Nintendo.

        • There is not much improvement on the controller for Series S|X. PS5's Dual Sense does feel different. You can re-use dual shock on PS5 for playing PS4 games on PS5. So technically, backward compatibility is maintained, it just isn't forward compatible.

How many people actually use One S or One X controllers on Series S|X?

          • @netsurfer: As someone who went from multiple 360, to Xbox One and now a Xbox series controller on PC I'd say the Series controller is definitely an improvement from a feel of use point of view (including the d-pad and the grip feel on the bottom of the controller).

Of course it doesn't have those fancy features but I never use them on my PS5 anyway.

            • @andigaming: Yeah, so if that's the case, the bottom line would be most people prefer the new Series S|X controller over XBox One S|X controller.

  • that giftcard website is just spinning at checkout for me? is it broken?

    • Try a different device, an incognito tab or paying with a different card.

      • +1

got it working used firefox… cheers.

    • Just bought 2 cards fine

If you are trying to pay with the Ultimate eGift Card, do not select gift card as the payment option (it won't work). Select credit/debit and then enter the gift card details.

$30 for 3 years concierge might be worth it for credits

Man I hate the white on the back of the coloured controllers. Just give me the solid colour Xbox.

  • anyone know if these are the ones that work with Samsung TV Xbox app?

  • Is this the one that you need to have bluetooth on MB for PC or does it come with a receiver ? I tried looking on the website but didnt see a receiver mentioned…

    • +2

The USB wireless adapter is not included, but it can be sold as a bundle (just not at the Good Guys). This is the controller only and nothing else.

Bundle $89 on sale @ JB

Note that you don't need the wireless adapter unless you also want sound output on the headphone jack of your controller (for headsets) and slightly lower latency (to minimize input lag). Otherwise just get a cheap USB Bluetooth dongle for your desktop.

      • +1

i find that bluetooth lag is more placebo than anything (i'll get downvoted surely) as PS5 and Switch both had been using bluetooth for a while with no issues.

I also had been using 8bitdo bluetooth controllers on PC with no input lags…

      • Or just run a USB-C cable to the controller (if you don't care about wireless)

  • +5

I price matched at JB and stacked this with perks $10 welcome voucher and the 15% off ultimate gift card to bring it down to $40.

    • Via online chat?

    • How do you get around the phone number requirement signing up to perks?

  • Does this work on the Samsung TV

  • Are they PC compatible?

    • +3

If you have bluetooth yes, otherwise usb c cable or buy the controller with the adapter from JB posted in a comment above.

  • Is xbox controller or ps5 controller better for cod ios mobile? Been holding off for awhile.. Cheers

  • Tried using PS5 controller on BT for my PC, very noticible input lag. Will this one have the same issue?
