Signed up mine via Turkey last year and just let it auto-renewed for the same price but they've upped the premium plan to 3 devices now.

Simply connect to a Turkey VPN of your choice (I used NordVPN) then use Incognito/Private browsing to load the site and subscribe. Do make sure on the final page that the price is still showing ₺599.99 (in case of any VPN or cookie stuff-up).

Single stream sub is ₺479.99 (~A27.86) if you really want to save a few bucks or don't have anyone to share the sub with.

Had my 28 Degrees and Amex (a different premium sub for a friend) saved on file from last year and both were auto-renewed successfully last week. From what I gathered based on previous deals in the past, Paypal would be problematic so perhaps avoid that as the payment method.

inb4 anyone asks again: You don't need to connect to a VPN to watch. That is only required if you signed up for India LP - which IMO not worth the trouble now especially when you can share a premium sub with 2 other friends and split the cost (~A$11.60pp is crazy cheap).

"Watch all games commercial free on 3 devices at a time, and get access to in-arena streams." This BOLD part is missing when you load the page via Turkey compared to an Aussie sub though it's hardly worth the premium at AUD$210 (or AUD$155 for single stream).

    Been subscribed to Argentina for years without any issues. Ive changed credit card recently and im getting an error when they try and charge my account to renew. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
    Error is "There was an error processing your payment. Please update your payment method".

    • I don't think there's a way to add a new card to an existing foreign NBA account. Use the method described in this thread (Turkish iTunes account, Turkish iTunes gift cards and VPN) to sign up via Turkey and get League Pass for $35.

  • I subscribed using the Turkish iTunes method. Confirmation email from Apple. But on the NBA app, I have no access to any of the league pass features. It does not say I am subscribed on the nba app. Anyone else had this issue?

          • @Zuelly: Says I do not have any active subscriptions. Funnily enough if I go to subscribe again, then it says I already have an active subscription. But as I say, I can’t watch any of the games and it asks me to Subscribe to league pass on the home page.

      Just tried playing on PC (home wifi), phone (mobile data) and work phone (mobile data) at the same time so all on different connections and work as intended.

        For reference I used a Turkish vpn right up until after I’d installed the NBA app, then I disabled VPN and opened the app and logged in with my normal AU NBA account. I did this because I was concerned about region issues mentioned in previous comments by people who had signed up for a Turkish NBA account/using Turkish VPN

  • Do you need an apple device to have an itunes account? As in, do you need to do it in an apple app? I've never used anything apple before.

    Also, is there any promo codes? I was thinking of just trying South Africa as that is what I had a couple of years ago, but my renewal didn't go through as I used to pay via Paypal and they dropped that payment method last year.

    • You don't need an apple device to have an iTunes account, but you do need an apple device to make the in-app apple payment. And in this instance the NBA app requires a device with iOS15 or later.

        Edit : What is another country I can try where payment is more likely to go through? I wanted to get a premium subscription this time for the multiple screens. I only had the single screen version a couple of years ago.

  • Is anyone having blockout issues as of today. It was working yesterday but today it seems the android app requires location services turned on and will not let you view full games if you're not in the location where you subbed from (turkey).

    I also tried my PC and that was also location blocked.

    • Havent come across this issue just checked nba tv and it was working on my s23+ i was holding off because i seen this issue but took the plunge and used g2a for $39 on spare ios device and im on a week trial before the gift card money comes out hopefully no issues!

        Maybe I should have turned off auto updates on my apps

        • Yeh updated my nba app last night and checked the videos still played also on 0.25.1!

          • @leasky: I reinstalled the app and seems fine now. Not sure what happened overnight.

      • I tried with a new NBA ID, but none of my cards work. Not sure how else to try.

        Was thinking of trying a different premium country such as South Africa as that is what I had previously for the past couple of years prior to last season (didn't have a sub last season for the first time since 2008 (whenever if first became available here in AU) or so).

        • VPNs and none of my cards worked. Using the Spotify method with Google Pay mentioned in this thread worked.

    Confirming that the Android workaround on the phone works but requires a chat/email to Google to allow payment to process through:

    • Create a new Google account on your phone.
    • Delete your Google Play Store cache (this may not be required). If you don't know how to, please see Google's instructions(support.google.com).
    • Select your new Google account in the Google Play Store app to switch over from your personal account or add it in if it's not there (to do this, click on your top right icon, then click the dropdown next to your account email, then click "Add another account"). Make sure the selected account is your new Google account.
    • Add a new payment method and select "Turkey" as the country (to do this, click on your top right icon again, then click "Payments and Subscriptions", then click "Payment methods"). If needed, use a fake address generator(bestrandoms.com) to obtain a random Turkey address for the payment profile. You can use your Australian debit or credit card (or any card as you wish) and best to use a card with no international transaction fees (Suncorp and Latitude Platinum have no international fees).
    • Verify your credit card on this new Google account.
    • Turn on VPN and set location to Turkey.
    • Clear data and cache from NBA app if already installed then uninstall.
    • Reinstall NBA app using new Google account.
    • Log into NBA app with your existing account if you wish, or create a new one.
    • Go to See More Plans and select Annual Premium (if sharing) or Annual and the currency will be shown as Turkish Lire.
    • Add payment method and process. It will (likely) decline, if not, you're set.
    • Go to https://support.google.com/googleplay/gethelp?sjid=157388787…
    • Type "failed transaction" and go through prompts until you get the option to contact via email or chat. I used chat and just explained my payment was declined on an app. They will ask some security ID questions and then say that they will resolve in 24 hours. You'll receive an email from your New Google Account when this issue is resolved (mine took about an hour) and then you can process payment.

      Followed this to the T and everytime I go into the NBA app its still showing AUD despite having NordVPN on to Turkey.

      Anyone else getting this issue?

      • Yeah I experienced the same. I had to use a spare phone and logged in using only the turkey account.

        YMMV:

        On your phone, check that your active Play Store account is your turkish one.
        Uninstall your current NBA app.

        Now try going to your computer.
        Open a browser in incognito mode.
        Go to the Google Play Store website.
        Search for the NBA App.
        Do a remote install of the NBA app to your phone.
        Once installed try and see if Turkish pricing shows up.

            I didn't need to use google support. I just used google pay and it worked.

            You've set up a turkish payment profile in your newly created google account right?
            You can check here: https://pay.google.com/gp/w/home/settings?hl=en
            Next check that your NBA app on your phone is signed out of any NBA ID/accounts so you get the payment option to show up on the app.
            Choose subscribe to one of the annual plans after tapping on "See more plans"
            It will then ask you to sign into an NBA ID account to attach the paid plan to an NBA ID.

            Hopefully that works

            Good instructions using an old phone and have nordvpn getting the Turkish price but when I tap purchase I am getting:

            Your transaction can't be completed. To continue this transaction, use a different payment instruct or contact us

            Tried the url to google support page but the only option I am getting is community not email or chat.

            Any other suggestions?

    Had success using an old iPad Air 2 using the iTunes method.

    Created an iTunes account following https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/718277 this method, loaded it up with 600TRY from g2a, opened up NBA with a new account made in Turkey, free trial went through so will see in a week but can watch on my PC without any issues and VPN off.

    • What i did was wipe a phone set the entire thing to Turkish and created a Turkish Apple ID. My issue, the iPhone I used could not install the NBA app, needed to update the OS version, phone to old. Mate had a newer iPhone model, wiped it, set it all to Aussie and logged in using that Turkish Apple ID i created.

      Bought 600TRY Turkish gift card from here, for the Apple ID/Itunes account https://www.g2a.com/apple-itunes-gift-card-600-try-itunes-ke… league pass is 599 TRY. Mate's little bro's idea, genius.

      Installed the NBA app, logged in all fine using the Turkish account, went to subscribe for league pass, used the itunes credit I added.

      Boom, league pass for $44 and two other people can use the login to if you purchased the premium account 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾.

      Done it twice for two mate's, only thing had to was sign out, sign in with the new Turkisk ID i created and reinstall the NBA app again.

  • I’m trying to watch the Hawks vs Bucks recap today and I’m getting “This content is unavailable to watch in your region”. Same with the GSW vs Rockets game, but the others work fine. Anyone else having this issue?

      Yep I’m having this issue too on both my iPhone app and Apple TV, but weirdly it’s working on my laptop via the web…

  • Does anyone else using the iOS app have problems with the “Follow on Lock Screen” feature? It worked for me last season, but since I signed up using this method the Lock Screen widget seems to be broken. Scores don’t update and the time doesn’t count down. It’s basically just a snapshot of the game at the moment it was activated

  • I just signed into my old NBA.com account on the NBA andorid tv app on Nvidia shield .

    By using Windscibe VPN for Istanbul its giving me Turkey prices.

    It now says if I subscribe for the 599 price my "Google account" will be charged….I assume that is the Google account I used to sign into my Andorid TV/Nivida shield?

    I am pretty sure I have a credit card stored on my Google account, so it should go through?

    Cant sign up direct via non-app options as my VPN on phone and desktop takes me to Romanian prices on NBA.com even though using VPN set for Turkey.

    Only andorid tv app seems to offer ne Turkish pricing.
