Greetings everyone, this deal was previously posted as separate credits with gift cards ($40 with $1000), however as comments and my testing has indicated, all the codes stack together. Therefore, can get $100 Promotion Credit with $1000 Gift Cards which is great. I have cleared with the mods to post as a separate deal due to the stacking.

For Mobile users, codes are:

  • GIFT250
  • GIFT500
  • GIFT750
  • GIFT1000

Ensure that you add all 4 coupons to the checkout before you process the order, the benefit will look like this at checkout.

You can get any denominations of gift cards together, just ensure that the total adds to $1000 (I got 10 x $100 for reference and got $100 in credit after they were processed).

Once your gift cards are processed, you will get 4 emails of "Benefit Confirmations" for the promotion, and your credit will apply automatically at checkout.

Note: The credit auto applies at checkout and will negate cashback, so it's best to use up the $100 credit on an order without cashback if you are ordering something of larger value.

This promotional credit can be used towards a future purchase of “eligible items” shipped and sold by Amazon AU and will be automatically applied to your next purchase of eligible item(s). “Eligible items” excludes products sold by third party sellers including Amazon US (Amazon Global Store) and Amazon UK even if fulfilled by Amazon AU, digital purchases such as e-books, products that are not in new condition such as renewed products, subscriptions such as Prime Video and Audible, any gift cards and postage or delivery rates.

The promotion credit must be used by 31 August 2024 and will be applied to your next purchase of eligible item(s) shipped and sold by Amazon AU.

Enjoy :)

Credit to the original OP X200T and commenters such as xlynx and others for confirming.

Update 1:23pm: Coupons over $250 have expired. Have expired the deal.

This should be a hack 😂

    • +5

      Something something google one

      • 30 terra bites ?

  • +11

Ain’t the Amazon credit a bit limited though in that you must buy from Amazon AU seller? Does it also have expiry unlike normal gift card balance?

Given it’s a hack, is there also a chance they cancel the credit?

  • Just be careful your account isn't banned

    • You know of anyones account banned because of things like this?

    • +2

My account always seems to get banned with these amazon gift card deals. It's happened a few times before on similar deals. The transaction doesn't go through within the first 5 minutes and I usually end up banned a few hours later and have to ring amazon to get my account unlocked.

Yep looks like I am going to end up getting banned from this deal as well- In my orders it says "Status= Scheduled" and the money hasn't been taken out of my account yet.

      • Amazon froze my account last deal a couple of weeks ago when I purchased a $1000 GC. They sent me an email that they suspected my account was hacked. Got access back later that day after changing password and phone verification.

  • hmm not working for me, adding the coupons at checkout does nothing

    • +1

You should see the promotion being applied under the cart price (right hand side on desktop) - https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/194184/107152/gift_car…

They are not discount codes, but promotional credit (essentially you are buying $1100) - but the promotional credit does have limited places it can be used (promotional credit can be used towards a future purchase of “eligible items” shipped and sold by Amazon AU)

    • That's a bit odd, it should say "You successfully redeemed your promotional code." and then show up in the order total box as "GC promotion" for qualifying offers. Ensure you have Amazon Gift Cards in your cart over the minimum total.

    • I had to use desktop mode

    • Same for me. (Doesn’t work) I’m using the App on iPhone

  • Is it just me or does the promotion say purchases must be made between 15 and 31st of August? Or am I on the wrong landing page.

    • You might on the wrong page, this link says " between 12:01AM (AEST) on 27th September 2023 and 11:59PM (AEST) on 11th October 2023. "

  • +2

Could be good for a Quest 3 purchase

  • +1

Thanks! I just did it, 10 vouchers at $100 per voucher. You just copy and paste each code and on the right under the total price you can see the coupon codes stacking up.

Waiting for the emails now. I'll edit with an update.

    • +1

why did you do in 10 vouchers?

      • +2

The OP did the same so I just copied him.

I assume it is because you need to put in 4 codes

        GIFT250
        GIFT500
        GIFT750
        GIFT1000

If you just buy a $1000 gift card it may not trigger the 3 codes underneath. But I didn't want to do it wrong so i just copied the OP.

Edit: OP Said it doesn't matter. In which case 1 $1000 voucher is better, now i got to apply 10 $100 vouchers to my account.

  • Can you buy Apple gift card using amazon gift card?

  • Can you advise of the 4 codes in the description?
I can only see 2 1/2 on my phone :(

    • GIFT250
      GIFT500
      GIFT750
      GIFT1000

      • Thanks

  • +1

I placed the order but it's not delivered yet. About 10 mins

    • +2

      Same here, scammed. Lol Jkjk

  • Can i get just 1x $1000 card? will the deal still apply? or do i need to get 10x $100?

    • +1

Any demonination combination will be fine, as long as the order total is $1000. I only did 10x$100 because I didn't want a whole $1000 locked to my current account.

  • +1

$1000 on gift cards is a lot (to me), but the long term may justify it…

  • Awesome. Placed the order.. Waiting on the 4 promotional emails confirmation

  • Once your gift cards are processed, you will get 4 emails of "Benefit Confirmations" for the promotion, and your credit will apply automatically at checkout.

How long does "processing" take, mine appears top be stuck in procesing

    • +1

Mine took about 5 mins to process, but it comes down to Amazon internal controls and whether they need to validate the purchase any further. Once you receive the gift cards via email, the benefit confirmations take 1 min or so to come through.

Should come through in 5-10 mins on average, but if they need to call to verify the purchase it can take longer.

    • +1

I bought 4x $1000 worth in separate transactions last Thursday/Friday.

Quickest arrived in 14 minutes. Longest took ~12 hours.

  • +1

    Too risky.

  • +2

Isn't there a chance they won't honour the stacked codes? Seems like too much risk.

    • +2

But can't you just talk to Amazon support to get them to refund the $1000 to your payment option then?

      • +1

I could be wrong, but I don't think they would do any refunds on gift cards

        • I think if the gift cards are unused they should. I've never tried but from what I have tried Amazon are pretty good and just about take back anything, even change of mind used things.

  • Amazon will fix the bug and reclaim the excess.

  • +1

The best deal was the ebay gift card 15 % off deal a couple of years ago which was awesome to stack with sales. I gave this one a go, lets see how it pans out

  • +3

No deal for me. promo credit balance is not great. No cashback and you cant use it with all sellers.

  • It blocks Westpac bonus though.. don't see the purpose except big purchases

    • What is this westpac bonus you speak of?

      • +1

Shopback 10% for Westpac users today

  • what should it look like in cart, i don't want to place order because it doesn't look like the coupon are adding on

    • It should look like this in your checkout under the order summary.

      • yeah i don't see that just the $1000 total

        • Hmm, did you get "You successfully redeemed your promotional code." when you applied the coupons at checkout? If it shows that, it should then put it in that Qualifying offers section.

          • @doweyy: nope i get nothing just does the spinning circle

            • @froogletom: Ah looks like it's expired now, $750 and $1000 is showing as expired when entered.

              • @doweyy: yeah just got the message i think when i was doing it i was to late

          • @doweyy: where is qualifying offers? I purchased mine 20mins ago. No cards or promo code yet

        • Yeah same i don't see anything in order summary. Eventhough, all 4 codes were successfully applied. So bit of risky game.

  • -2

what do you buy from amazon that needs $1000???

    • You keep it as a balance to draw down from… e.g. 20x $50 purchases over time.

    • Looking to buy a new GPU

    • -1

Are you not aware that Amazon sells literally everything? (almost)

  • +3

Just in time to cancel my quest 3 purchase and buy it again with:
    Promotion(s) Applied: -$100.00

    thank you op

  • +3

    -9.09% FYI

  • +1

Great, If you plan on spending $1000 in a short time. Otherwise, not much saving for someone keeping $1000 in a offset with mortgage.

    • +1

That would be like 1 1/2 years of offset

    • +1

How high is your mortgage where you're effectively paying more than 9% interest?

  • These promo credits have a habit of randomly disappearing despite it being no where near the expiry date.

  • Expired

  • +1

Also find out that we can no longer use Amazon gift balance to purchase any gift cards (eg. Apple / restaurant), Party is over, no need to keep too much Amazon gift cards

  • +1

Can you use the gift card for membership?

    • +2

      No

  • I keep on getting "Code you entered is not valid" on adding any more than one code? Have tried a couple of times but same result.. might be over but thanks for sharing

  • would be keen to know down the track if anyone's account gets locked out as a result of this

  • +1

Applied all the codes in the cart successfully. But then the codes expired when I confirmed the order. Not sure what I gonna get….

    • In the same boat as you, we shall see.

    • same here, CS said there was no promo applied so not looking good

      • Good news I received all the credits. credit emails arrived around 10mins later after I got the gift card email

  • +2

Hmm 35 minutes in and no email. Card hasn't been charged either. How odd.

    • +1

yup I'm also in this canoe, same time too

      • Damn i'll keep you posted if anything changes.

        Edit

I got the gift cards for $1000 and the confirmation of the credit via emails!

        • Add items to cart

          • @Turd: Thanks! I can't edit my previous comment but I tried adding something to the cart (That is sold by Amazon) And the money is all there ready to go. $100

        • Nothing yet for me, i'll also update if there are any changes

Update: Just got mine, also received the promo emails and credit!

          • @cupmuffin: Easy money! =)

            • @MrMoo: Got the gift card emails at 2:30pm AEDT after placing order at 1pm. No sign of credit…

              Am I the black sheep?

              • +1

@NitroJolt: Hmm it seems like it expired around 1:20 so depending on exactly when you placed the order the codes may not have worked.

If you placed it well before 1:20 then just hang tight as the 4 emails I got confirming the credits came about 10 minutes after my gift certificates.

Alternatively if you wait the day and still don't get them you should just go onto chat and complain about the promotion. They are pretty nice they'll probably just give you the credits.

                • @MrMoo: No credit still this morning so ended up contacting them and they issued me the $100 credit.

Apparently the credit was issued but "inactive on my account" and they just "revised" it.

                  Happy days!

                  • @NitroJolt: Yer Amazon is pretty good with their customer support, they are usually happy to accommodate as long as you were in the right at the time of purchase.

    • Same

  • +1

    Damn, missed the party !

  • Worked well

  • 2 hours later and still havent received the gift card. Still says "processing." Should I be worried?

    • +2

      • someone called to confirm it's not fraud and then they released the transaction

        • unfortunately no call for me from the bank yet.
