Btw this Rezi app is pretty terrible. The AI is just a buzzword. It has huge amount of funding in Korea based on really baseless concepts and ripping millions from sucker VCs during FOMO startup periods. One of many in Seoul to just suck but get money anyway. It's free sure, but you're basically getting nothing valuable in return.

Goodluck to those who use it, it's a glorified word doc template downloader.

    • Any alternate recommendations?

      • +1

Not really, I feel like not writing your own resume is pretty bad for job prospects. There are loads of templates available on the web for free for great resumes.

We have approximately 450,000USD in funding from 7 angel investors and 1 VC. A small amount of funding considering the scale of the software.

AI is a tool to use to be more efficient.

      • +1

The scale of your software is incredibly small. It's a lot of funding on a pretty generic tool but that's just my thoughts.

AI is great for adding to your product to hype up sales. Not sure why anyone would use AI that can only be used for work docs when they can use AI on anything they want. After all, Rezi just bundled existing AI models into the software.

      • What? You just said this three minutes ago

        • I meant from here on out.

          • @jakefromrezi: Thanks for clarifying, I'm still baffled how you meant "from here on out" when koolkorean said "start ups get vc funding" and you said "no vc funding for us"

      • +2

A small amount of funding considering the scale of the software.

What scale? It seems like a glorified mail merge tool.

1.5 million users. 1 million from this year. 30,000 users today

          • +2

            @jakefromrezi:

1.5 million users. 1 million from this year. 30,000 users today

10x that many users for notepad. That doesn't mean the "scale of the software" is enormous for notepad.

The software itself is among the simplest to build (likely simpler than notepad), but it has a substantial number of users. Those are two very different things.

  • I get an invalid code error…

    • Me too

    • It's case sensitive, make sure to use all lowercase

  • Thanks OP, worked fine

  • Thanks Mate! Worked Just fine

  • Coupon invalid! :(

    • Try again! Should work

    • Make sure coupon it's in lower case letters. Unless you already have an account from the 2020 deal?

    • Tried again and worked.

  • Perfect timing! This surely will get me a job!

  • I ready have an account with subscription.
Must have signup earlier (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/558731) and forgot to cancel the sub?

  • Thanks, will use this to hopefully get my first job. (apart from buying boost Sims lol)

Hey I built the software - let me know if there are any questions I can answer.

    • i guess a question for you and others is

are hiring platforms filtering out applications where AI-written content is detected?

Does Rezi's AI aim/attempt to out-smart such detection?

      • I dont think corporations have reacted that quickly - it might take some more time before a countermeasure like this is introduced.

      • How would they even detect an AI content anyway?

    • +3

If you are massively profitable and aren't doing anything with my data (I assume you mean you aren't selling or using resume data to profit) what's the revenue stream?

Surely subscriptions alone aren't massively profitable.

  • Thank you op and Rezi!

  • I don't understand the purpose of the membership? Generative features seem to cost more on top of the membership, otherwise you have to create the CV by yourself and pay $120 USD for doing my own work if it wasn't for the deal posted. Where's the I in the AI? Am I missing something?

  • Some things to check before you sign up… what will they do with your personal information? Sell it to advertisers? And what controls are in place. Is this bait and switch? Are they dangling a carrot and then you find you give them more than they give you?

  • I only just updated my resume through resume-now.com a few weeks ago but hey, I plan to move on from my current role eventually so why not sign up! Thanks.

  • Nice, it worked. All they asked for is my name and email. So not too bad in terms of data

  • Thanks OP

  • Can't seem to export as a .pdf on my phone.

  • +5

Gave it a go and it sucks. FlowCV + ChatGPT-4 is the winning combo.

  • Seems cool but you can probably get the same result from a well formulated ChatGPT prompt…

  • If for some reason you want this, but you already have a Rezi account (perhaps, from the last OzB deal) and the instructions above don't work:

Click 'AI Credits' > Coupon/Redemption Code > enter the text ( hirednow )

  • Thanks OP. 50% pay rise here I come.

  • Why would anyone want a job here, we want to be full time OzBarginers!!

  • From some comments here, how is chatgpt better than this?

  • I believe this is catered for I.T. based resumes? The "AI" suggestions are not relevant to me being in hospo.

  • apparently recruiters screen for AI-generated CVs and reject them, so be careful …

  • If there are different plans (including the lifetime plan), why does it still cost $10 for 50 AI credits?

  • Just intended to register, but found that I already had an account from 2020 from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/558731
And I have never used it :))

  • Worked well, thanks OP

  • They have this deal regularly and it’s not really free. There’s always something you have to pay for.

    • +1

Regularly? The last time it had a lifetime free license was in 2020. What other things do you need to pay for?

  • +1

@ jakefromrezi What LLM does Rezi use?

  • I just been made redundant so perfect timing! thanks op :)

  • I signed up, but after a bit of looking it seems to be missing the main reason I'd use it, which is tailoring a cover letter to the job listing details. It looks like you can tailor it to the job title, but really every job listing has a set of specific requirements and a unique description that should all be addressed. I would like to be able to upload the whole job listing, with things like "Key selection criteria", "About the role", "What you'll be doing" etc. and write the cover letter to address and reflect all of that.

Please let me know if I'm wrong and that is already a feature. In my opinion the resume page shouldn't change much per application, but you should write a new cover letter for every application you do.

  • Need a deal for AI credits now

  • OP, I don't see any option to download as word. Only PDF and verified PDF

  • Getting invalid coupon error - must be game over

  • Get ready to be swamped with fake resumes populated with fake IT credentials from the 'skills shortage' factory

  • +1

Pretty cookie cutter data sharing terms. Can't see 'we don't do anything with data' there…. https://www.rezi.ai/legal

  • -1

Maybe I'm becoming a dinosaur at 40, but I just look at these posts and go "too hard". So much stuff I don't understand and I considered myself to be pretty good with technology.

    • If 4 steps is "too hard", you should reconsider your self-assessment ;)

      • I mean using all the benefits it provides. Like AI and then credits etc. Far out.

  • +4

    Also getting invalid coupon :(

  • guess too late to the party

  • I was wondering if this event is expired? I've just tried many times and I'm case sensitive, but it says invalid coupon

  • Code Expired.

  • So did the thing and it looked like it went well but now I've gone back to use and it says I don't have any of the features. Does anyone have a fix for this?
Edit: I did the thing when the deal was posted, it wasn't expired

  • Anyone have a space account i could use? Missed out on the deal :/

  • +1

Can you please bring the deal back?

  • I created the account when this deal was posted and forgot to use the coupon. Dam

  • all good
