              • @barcer: Yeh sorry that's another use case work number and personal and can be on same network🙂

        • Please do. Thank you

Holy shit a local stock with SD card and headphone jack. The last time I've seen one was false listing.

The Moto G54 was released yesterday as competitively priced, it's at JB Hi-Fi for $299 RRP.

Also on Amazon for same price

JB will have 10% all Tech Items this week!

  • Is the blakc mroe like dark grey?

    • +1

      It's called blue by Motorola

    • It is darkish blue/black. Hence the name midnight blue.

no physical dual sim is a deal killer

    • What's your thoughts on the Dual SIM that are 1 ohysical+1 esim

      • +1

Depends if you are ok with not having the convenience of a physical sim slot. I for sure do not prefer the physical+esim combination at all.

        • care to elaborate why u prefer physical dual, over phys+esim?

          • @capslock janitor: Esim can't be removed. If u want to switch phone then yo u have to get a replacement sim. And not all carriers right now support esim.

            • @Jaduqimon: i read that eSIM can be removed//deleted, then just setup again on new phone ..

              • @capslock janitor: Yes but you're more likely to bump into technical issues etc. Like the esim in new phone might not be active right away. Carrier can also have technical issues etc.

                Just find physical sims easier.

  • The battery is actually larger than you have listed, it's 6000mah.

Edit: Motorola's website has it listed as 5000mah.

    • There's several sub models depending on market apparently

Good price but underwhelming display brightness according to some reviews is a turn off for me.

    • Some reviews say its decent. Obviously nothing like the $2k Flagship phones.

      • +1

Yeah, this one has actual usable features like SD card and headphone jack.

  • Just some info for anyone wanting a 5g dual sim phone. Some dual sim phone drop the 5g and only support 4g, do some research on this phone to see if it supports 5g when using 2 sims.

Eg, my Google pixel 7 pro does 5g on both sims.

Notification led light would be nice.

  • MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor with 2.2 GHz octa-core CPU and IMG BXM-8-256 GPU

How do these compare to the Snapdragon and Adreno, which the Edge 20 Pro has? I'm hesitant to buy something with a non snapdragon processor just thinking about hearing bad things about Exynos for Samsung

The phone isn't listed on the Lenovo Education store. I asked chat for the $239 price but was only given 10% off unfortunately. Maybe you got lucky with the particular rep you chatted with.

          • +6

@scottySK: I just browse the education store and found the phone. You need to click phones>motorola>motorola(again)>motorola phones(new arrivals). By following this sequence you will find it listed for $239.

@Shak87: Strange it didn't appear in a search, but I found it your way. Thanks for the guide!

            • @Shak87: Thanks!

            • @Shak87: Do I need to be logged in as a student or something to get this price? Can't seem to get to the $239 price using this method.

              • @Elecmuso: That’s right, You should be logged in as a student using student email.

            • @Shak87: please help out the dummy. I can click tablets and phones in the row at the top, then where is the motorola tab? Thanks for helping.

"The new G54 released just yesterday fixes all the problems from the G53…"

Only until unsuspecting consumers discover all the design faults that were missed developing this one.

More often than not, a history of hardware flaws indicates a propensity to produce similar, different and even the same flaws in later generations!

  • Does this have good battery life?

  • Will this do Volte and VoWiFi with Telstra/Boost?

    • +1

      Yes

  • I was WRONG, the 7200 is ARMv9 (second generation) from the vivo V27 press release

MediaTek Dimensity 7200 introduces 2nd generation Armv9 processors
with a fast peak performance of up to 2.8GHz, ensuring effortless multitasking

  • Have a question for those who have this phone.
I'm looking through the camera app and there doesn't appear to be a 0.5x / ultrawide lense to shoot photos? I saw on a review that there is a 0.5x zoom for taking photos. Does it need an update or is it a fake? I bought one from Big W.

    • There is no ultrawide camera on this model. The second lens is a macro.

      • Interesting… would think that an ultrawide camera is more useful than a macro. Even the older motorola G8 has an ultrawide camera…

According to Gsmarena there's an ultrawide camera for the G54. So strange.

There are two models of Motorola G54.

The one you were referring to is the Moto G54 "Power", intended for India market, that comes with 6,000 mAh battery, as well as the ultrawide camera.

The one we get here is the standard model or they call it "the China version" (as they are for the Chinese market) that comes with 5,000 mAh battery and NO ultrawide camera.

          Look here.

Most reviews on YouTube are of the Indian model.
