  • Curious why the PRO is $300 more than this.

Pro stall force 60 lbs and prime 30 lbs. Depends on your needs but I found the prime enough for me. Other differences between the 2 but I found this the big one.

  • Is the Theragun Pro 4th or 5th Gen? It isn't stated on JB's site.

EDIT: Looks to be the older model as it come with two batteries and apparently the 5th gen comes with one.

Are these 10x better than the $30 versions?
    Or just 5x better looking

I had a cheapo one for 3 years and borrowed a mates - it's like night and day. The theragun massage is more intense and uses a percussion movement compared to the vibrations that the cheaper models use. Would recommend trying out a mates - I wouldn't have forked out the money otherwise

      • I’ve read this percussion vs vibration comment a few times. I don’t doubt it’s true but can you explain to a simpleton like myself what the difference is?

I have a "cheapo" one at home but have access to a Theragun at the gym. The easist way I can describe it is two different feelings when using the two devices.

The "cheapo" feels very surface level, kinda like it's tapping the muscle and skin. After a while the hand that is holding the gun starts getting numb from the vibrations.

The Theragun on the other hand (pun not intended) feels as though it's sending force through muscle. While using it, it felt like the repetitions had a lot of weight behind each push. I didn't feel numb or shakiness after 30 minutes of using it.

          • @CoreNex: Thanks for taking the time to reply. 👍

          • @CoreNex: 30 min of theragun.. is battery that good?

    • Do recommend to go in a shop like rebel and try. I find prime and elite to be weak in comparison with pro.. well at least for leg muscles..

  • What advantages does this massage gun have over say.. a train, which I could also afford?
No, but seriously, is it really $250 more than the common ones posted here on Amazon?

    • They are more powerful, and they last much longer.. my generic one after half a year was falling apart. Compex that I got later, 2 years now still no signs of degradation..
Stall force is a big factor as well. And noise due to level of manufacture (at same power). Another factor is the head travel distance.

      This looks like fair article
