True! Better deal than this one if you got a hold of the 15% off Celebration Gift Cards @ Coles (Until 24th Oct 2023)

You'd be saving $24.60 + Extra Flybuys Points when shopping at Officeworks if stacked with those cards.

psst. you can also use Officeworks price beat guarantee and they'll beat it by 5% if you show them Amazon is selling for the same price.

So it'll work out to be:
      Price Beat Guarantee Policy: $164.00 x 95% = $155.80
      15% Celebration Gift Cards: $155.80 x 85% = $132.43 at Officeworks + Flybuys Points ✌

Thought the price beat won’t apply if same price?

            @AkuroPlays: ?

Our Price Beat Guarantee (PBG) means that if you find a lower priced identical stocked item that's in stock with a competitor (even if it's on sale), we will not only match it, we'll beat it by 5%.

Don’t forget our price guarantee excludes the items listed below under the heading “What items are excluded from the PBG?”

Remember that time we got these free when you signed up to eBay Plus? Hard to beat that.

    • +7

I remember the $99 deal, don’t remember them ever being free?

      • +2

Right here, I was lucky enough to get one that afternoon

    • no ? idr

Not bad but I'm holding out until they have USB C charging. Unfortunately I can't just use the Pros as the ones with rubber tips never stay in my ears longer than 30 seconds. And I simply refuse to use Lightning for one device.

You’d be paying a lot more for the latest usb-c model. I say who cares about the cable? it’s literally just a cable

      • +1

        should be using magsafe anyway

        • +1

Yeah people are dumb. I understand requiring usb-c for the transfer speed (say you transfer a lot of files like content creators etc.). But on the AirPods case it doesn’t matter, it’s just a charging cable

        • Well these ones do not include the wireless charging case anyway.

      • +1

I care. I don't want to have to have a special cable around just to charge my earbuds when every other device apart from my watch charges off USB C. I'd have to have one at home and one at work, and both would take up an extra port too.

Bought the second gen airpods pro brand new for $120 from Marketplace. Gave it as a gift to someone, she returned it to me after a fight and I sold it for $150😂

Bought these airpods for $100 from Arab guy on marketplace, unopened. Opened them and they had some issue connecting, lodged a warranty with Apple and they told me to bring it to their store. Went to their store and as soon as they picked it up, they said it's fake :(

      • +1

Didn’t you check the serial number on the Apple website first?

        • Apple does not keep track of serial number of some peripheral products like AirPods, Pencil, Magic Mouse/keyboard/trackpad for authenticity check.

          • +1

@dante173: It did for the airpods I just purchased from OW today

            • @unity1: Yes, as some of you have mentioned, you are right AirPods can be verified. My bad.

          • +1

@dante173: Nah it does. I got the seller to send me a photo of the back of the box and checked the serial number and it was all good. Bought twice and both were fine and valid

        • +1

I did and it showed under warranty and stuff

      • Never buy sealed electronics on marketplace. At least not something that is often faked.

    • +2

      what fight??

      • Exchange of words. Went to Wollongong for her all the way from Adelaide and she posted the airpods via auspost back to me.

        • Fake AirPod makers now use real serial numbers that checkout on apple…. The only way apparently to check real from fake is to make sure that once connected to an iPhone you can go to ‘find my airpods’ and if they cant be found there they are fakes. Apparently scammers havnt worked out how to replicate this yet or it’s too costly.

I hope they make a USB-C version of this one eventually…. The regular AirPods 3 just doesn't feel as nice.

  • +4

These are 4 years old and still considered cheap at $164…

    • i hea rmore good things about gen2 than any of the successors

      mainly the fit.
no point of having better sound when they keep falling out

  • Nah won’t pay over $100 for this after I got them from catch

  • +2

This is honestly a fantastic price, I know there’s been better but these are just solid run of the mill pair of earbuds, they’re a very strong personal favourite of mine and if Apple could cram the pro hardware into this casing I’d probably jump on it regardless of the price. Of course fit and feel are personal preference but these beat every shape and size I’ve tried.

  • +2

The gen 2 case is more comfortable for one hand use compared to gen 3

  • +1

Still happy with my $99 eBay Airpods.

  • +4

    99 or no deal

  • +2

Best fit of any AirPods generation imo

  • thanks OP, finally bought 1

  • Been using gen1 since forever what’s the honest diff with these?

Also have beats version of AirPods with the noise cancelling

Just because it’s Apple brand doesn’t mean it’s good. I am not sure why anyone would want to buy this shonky brand of Bluetooth earphone. My family has had three pairs of genuine Apple Gen 1 AirPods that failed inside two years and not heavy usage. They sat around at home for a year or two and I occasionally tried to do resets and updates which never fixed the problem. Then took them to Apple Store who confirmed complete failure on all three sets and no warranty of course.

    • I had 2 second gen and both has mic problem and most of the time it was with right side earpods.

      • Our problems were that AirPods would work for 1 minute and then one or both AirPods would disconnect. Constant problems like this were confirmed by Apple to be a failure of the device. What was really frustrating was the many hours I spent looking up fixes and doing resets and software downloads and then ringing Apple and going to Apple genius appointment. Complete waste of time because of the shonky Apple product

  • Hold up, discount showing for me as 18% off - taking price down to $179. Can anyone else confirm?
