Despite the extra RAM, the Samsung deal at JB HiFi for $30 less looks like a better deal given the faster video card: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80715

    • The graphics is good enough for games such as Diablo 3, plus you get Windows 7 Professional and a Toshiba L850 Series laptop - better build quality IMHO.

Shows that this video card qualify for Diablo 3:

I agree the card is decent, but it's marginally slower than the Samsung. Build quality is a much of a muchness these days, but both are good. Ultimately, it comes down to price for me - the extra 2GB RAM isn't worth as much as the video card is, and I also pocket $30 (plus shipping).

  • HP still running the Beats Solo promotion until 30/09/12, and maybe extend again.

    • How much does it worth? The Beats headphone?

      • about 100-150, if it hasnt changed since the last HN rebate promo

  • How quickly could you get this to Adelaide (need a laptop before I go on a holiday)?

    • Can't make promise on delivery - but we can dispatch it today if you make payment and advise me the invoice number.

Estimated delivery time needed for Australia Post:

      Sydney 1-2 business days
NSW / ACT 1-3 business days
      VIC 2-5 business days
      QLD 2-5 business days
      SA 3-5 business days
      WA 3-6 business days
      NT 4-6 business days
      TAS 3-6 business days

If it is very close to your holiday & it is the main reason you get the laptop for - i may suggest you not to go ahead - as we cannot promise whether Australia post can deliver on time - with a long weekend coming.

  • Hmmm I did an impulse buy… AGAIN! I price matched Envy 6 at office works. Worked out to be $675.50 after 5% beat from $699 + $12.05 shipping. Is it a good price? I read the review and it's not really glowing but okay. Still in the box so I can still do a refund… :) Any thought…? Any with the beat headphone, I could cash in another $100 from ebay… may be?

I bought it here a while ago (499 + beats), so whilst it's not a bad deal, its certainly not the best deal.

      • Thanks for the tip. After reading the review, i think i'm going to return it. I prolly want all SSD like in the Folio. Thanks.

  • woo hoo, decided to make the purchase on the toshiba L850 with the 2gb graphics card. $712!! great price. looking forward to recieving it. shame they ran out of the 240GB ssd disks
