      Hey Listen!

  • +4

Need to amend post. $53 includes $10 off, rather than get a "further" $10 off

Edit: that was a quick update! Nice.

Just feel good about supporting small companies like Nintendo 🥰

      • by the time I finish this game there will be 2 new switches out lol.

        • +3

I recommend taking a break between BotW and TotK so you don’t burn out.

    • Exactly the same situation but only 25% through BoTW lol

  • Finished Botw a few months ago. Not sure I'd be ready to tackle this for a few years but still bought to complete the collection.

    • Same boat.. haven't opened mine till now.. too lazy to grind again..

    Game of the year?

    • Probably

      Easily

Super Mario Wonder would be tough competition for that title

    • Either this or Spider-Man 2 I reckon

  • Yesterday there was a 18% cashback for mydeal. Would work well with this item

      So would a DeLorean….

This game has been a very good stress reliever. It is satisfying to just roam around, find new things, fight some monsters! even if you don't want to play the whole story or can't be bothered. The difficulty of the game automatically gets adjusted based on how much progress you make in the main story, so you can still have a lot of fun without going through with the story :)

    • +2

Difficulty scales based on the monsters you kill rather than story progress: https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/1496az3/…

      • interesting! that is good to know. I read on reddit that it was based on story progress in BOTW and assumed it was the same. This is a good model too which would allow players to smooth into increased difficulty.

  • Thanks OP for sharing this deal

Another PSA that MyDeal customer service is absolutely horrendous.

  • I'm not in the Nintendo ecosystem, and haven't played any of their games - but my nephew [8 years old] has one - would this be a suitable Christmas present for him?

I know he's obsessed with Minecraft, but I suspect his game options beyond that have been very limited. (His parents aren't gamers themselves)

    • Would an 8 year old want to go on a great new adventure? Certainly not

    • He'd probably love it but might need some guidance

Amazon has matched at $59 but not as good as from Bug W via MyDeal

    • +1

      Here we go!

I'll get it now, knowing my luck it will be $49 or less for Amazon Black Friday Lightning Deal. :/

  • I think this deal is so popular that Big W is having system error processing this.

I know this because I reached out to BigW via mydeal to request a change in delivery address after placing the order. They said there's been system error on their side with this item and as a result they are able to process this and manually input the order for me.

  • Whoa.. this is a big moment in the "Nintendo 1st party prices never drop" saga. It's worth buying physical too, with resale you could even profit after 1-2 years.

The longer we hold out on physical games - the longer we have before 100% digital store monopolies can kick into gear. Price gouging every unassuming buyer and boosting profits, putting consumers last. We'll only have ourselves to blame if that happens.

  • Price matched JB with perks $49
