235W motor cannot generate 25kPa suction. False advertisement.

Break down the maths for me please. Since kPa is a unit of pressure and not a unit of power.

      • Hi Clear,

I don't have scientific information but not needed. Dyson and Xioami is using >650w motor to achieve those kPa numbers. No need to break down any numbers. Looking at what well-known brands have reveals the reality in this matter. There are a lot of these products on the market these days and they are claiming they have high suction power with little motor. This has turned into what happened with torches. Fake Lumen numbers. 100000 lumen torch for $20.

If achieving 25kPa was possible with 235w motor why Dyson and Xioami didn't do it? Are they not that advanced yet? It would greatly increase their battery efficiency by using less amount of watt.

        • So there is no formula because it's impossible. Misleading neg vote right there.

@Clear: Because of the misconception of motor watt and air suction power relation, in EU (if I am not wrong in 2014) something else has been started to use which is called Airwatt. Again, reputable brands are publishing their products' Airwatt numbers where cheaper brands are not.

            Dreame V9 has 450w motor with 20kPa
            Dreame V10 has 500w motor with 22kPa
            Dreame V11 has 650w motor with 25kPa or 27kPa
Dreame V12 pro has >800w motor with 32kPa

If you are still telling me that this product produces 25kPa with its 235w motor just because they are labelled it then let it be.

Please don't get me wrong. I personally looking forward for your posts and made used of them in the past with Aqara products and some others. This is all about this products' advertisement information.

            • @wrx5: Air watt and watt are not the same measurements from my research. Genuinely curious how the motor really does determine suction.

    • 25kPa is 3.6psi, or 0.25Bar
A human can suck a straw that hard so hardly impressive numbers.

      • I would love to watch you while you are trying to generate same suction power as Dreame V9 which only has 20kPa with a straw :)

        • You are confusing airflow and suction. You can have a vacuum with zero airflow.

    This or a Dyson?

  • any better deal out there?

  • does anyone have this and can comment if it is ok (ie not a complete waste of money given how cheap it is compared to dyson) ?

    • I don't have this but do have the LuBlueLu robot vac and am very impressed with the quality at the price point. If I hadn't just bought another cordless (different brand) I'd give this a shot based on the robot.

  • Got one thanks. Had a Dreame V9 for some years till it broke - was really happy with it. Not the best suction but enough to do the job and got pet hair off carpets really well. Tried Dyson in-store, sucked well but plastic felt really cheap, this can't be any worse for sure. Dreame felt more premium in the hand than the Dysons I tried..

  • Thinking of buying this but would ideally like to buy an extra battery. Does anyone know where I could buy a separate battery for this vacuum cleaner? I can't seem to find it online anywhere.

  • The beauty of buying a popular model of a Dyson is that generic copies of the battery pop up an eBay.

I have dreame v9 still going. I still have a Dyson DC59 .and IMHO I rate the Dyson stronger built.

I have put an adaptor on the Dyson and now have a 18volt 4 amp DeWalt battery. Goes forever.

    All ebay

  • Bought it, cant go tits up at this price.
