  • Shows 1399 to me.

    • Same.

    • Same. Price is for all colours

    • Thanks, a case of fat fingers this morning, title fixed.

  • +1

    That’s a decent drop

  • +3

    There’s now a Costco iPhone?

  • OP. Costco membership IS required for online orders.

  • +1

noob question but does anyone know if Officeworks price match on Costco?

    • Yes, they price beat by 5%.

    • +2

Don’t thinks so as it requires a membership but always worth a shot.

    • +4

No. OW doesn’t price beat Costco prices as it requires membership.

    • +1

Yes, membership based stores are not excluded as per their T&Cs

      • +2

Correct, @zoominguy has confirmed this as an OW employee - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/803150

I work at Officeworks and can confirm internal policy is that membership based stores such as costco are eligible for price match. However there is insufficient training company wide hence the variation from store to store and staff to staff on price matches. Escalating to the manager on duty will usually yield positive results.

      • Question is if the attendant is smart enough to spot USB-C vs lightning junk.

        • I can confirm they know what to look for. I went to the store that had the UCB-C and lightning and he picked the lightning one. Paid $285 so not a bad deal.

  • +1

Wow, that makes the Airpods $285 with OWPB.

    • -2

See comments above explaining OW does not PB Costco

      • +1

Bro, look at my comment literally above the comment you replied to.

  • +8

The AirPods Pro 2 aren’t the USB-C version, FYI.

If you aren’t yet using the iPhone 15, probably less of an issue, and with wireless charging, the port itself might not matter very much, but thought it was worth calling out.

Of course, you might get lucky with Officeworks Price Beat and get them to do the USB C version for $285…. In which case, well done!

OW doesn’t price beat Costco prices as it requires membership.

      • +4

Have done multiple times without any issues

        • +1

It must depend on who you get at OW.

      • +1

I had OW Milton price beat Costco for AirPods Pro 2 USB-C within the last 4 weeks. They do it.

    • Mate if someone gets OW to match for the USB C then I'm all over it - please post here.

    • +1

Just tried to price beat on the phone, they won't do it as the product codes differ. For the sake of $15 I think I will just Costco them, couldn't care less about Lightning v USB C, and can live without the lossless audio upgrade for Apple Vision Pro ;)

      • Lightning is dead mate, may as well be buying a micro-usb device.

        Put in bin.

        • +4

Cool, iPhone is now in the bin, when this package arrives I will put it straight in too, won't even bother opening.

  • No love for iphone 14 pm :(

    • Pro and max always disappear 1st. They make way fewer of those. Rare to find a deal.
Then we are left with the irregular storage varieties of the standard model which apple have discontinued. Good discounts on thise but will disappear by end of month.

    • It’s not titanium…

  • my iPhone 12 will be my last iPhone since i had the iPhone 4. for me iPhone 6 was the peak - my 12 is a buggy piece of junk. randomly freezes for a few secs, touch keyboard refuses to appear at times, placing a cursor within text is completely inferior to the older iphones etc etc. i could go on.

    • +16

      ok

    • +5

You were unlucky. Most are rock solid. Go-to for work phones.
Have you tried factory reset or warranty claim?

    • +3

I would reckon that you've got a faulty phone. It should have been returned on warranty.

    • +5

Cheers mate. What did you have for breakfast

      • +7

Obviously he won't be eating an apple for breakfast anymore…

    • That was me with my iPhone 11, switched over to the s23 ultra and now i have no issues.

      • +1

Give it a couple of years.

    • Your iPhone 12 is faulty. My wife has a 12 and we use them at work, I hate iPhone myself but it's a reliable and still powerful phone, takes good pics for the age to boot.

    • +1

I just bought a refurb from a deal on here a couple of weeks ago, the phone runs really well, updated it to os17 also…

  • Does Apple Store do price match?

    • +1

      dont think so

    • +1

Physical store yes, I confirmed. At most 10% though, so if an item is marked down 45% at Costco, Apple will only do 10% of it :(

Still, combined with my 15% off Apple gift cards, will work out ok I guess.

  • Yeah .. it felt so good after throwing away at least 15 ightning cables from upgrading iphone 13 to iphone 15 usb c and now i could use the iphone 15 with so many other usb c accessories

  • Probably lightning cable AirPod Pro 2, oh how quaint…………..

  • +3

Successfully price beat with Officeworks over the phone for AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with MagSafe Case (USB‑C) $284.98. Thanks OP!

    • Can you please post receipt? Please?

    • Please post a screencap.

    • OW Croydon (Adelaide)
      - Price beat Lightning @$300 but nil stock.
      - Price beat USB-C but @$360 but pffft.
It's a different product, so surely it's pure luck to get a price beat in a different product/code.

  • I see mani airpod pros on sale around $100 on fb market place. Do you think they all are fake ones..?

    • Gen 1, or old Gen 2 with cooked batteries and or fakes.

      • Some looks very real like below. Any tips to verify them..?

        https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/877267386926956/?r…

        • +1

Most likely fake. Same serial number in this cheap ad in USA https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds/ele/d/surrey-airpods-pr…, and you can tell they aren't the same box.

        • +1

If you’re just talking about solely the photos then ignore, but if you’re thinking about buying from this person or similar make sure to look at their profile. ‘Member since 2023’ is almost always scammers and also they have all 4 Marketplace ads for sealed AirPods. 1000% scam, genuine AirPod photos or not. :)

    • Lots of fake going around even in ebay.

  • Don't Walk, RUN from such deals…

  • not instore unfortunately

  • Airpods pro 2nd gen Lightning port Model Number MQD83ZA/A - was never in stock from Officeworks since past 1month …. ?? any leads

    • Says there is stock in
      Underwood (183 kingston road) and
      Ipswich (44 Brisbane st)

I bought mine this morning from underwood.

    • When others have successfully got the USB-C ones from Office Works above, why would you even consider the lightning ones?!

  • So…are people still getting successful price matches through Officeworks? Just skimming through, there's a mix between "it's working" and "no more matching".

For the receipt posted above, can anyone tell me how to approach using that to get a price match. I've price matched using websites and catalogues…but never from a receipt. Feels like a dumb question, but I just don't know how to phrase it so that they are most likely to match this.
