I have 2 of these at work and just got one for home (price match with good guys for $480 pick up). 1 year use and only used about half the starter ink. We previously had brother MFP colour laser and had to change toners every month.. not sure what that equates to in terms of pages but a set of toner cartridges was not much less than the cost of this printer is now!

Print quality is ok.. ink vs laser. V slow to scan / copy in colour. No duplex scanning. Other than that no complaints for what we use it for (documents).

    I was impressed with how well Epson prints on plain paper these days, no longer needing that expensive special coated paper for great results

    Huh? Changing a laser toner every month? Is that normal?

    I want something for a few pages here and there. Ink tanks always dry up on me. I was thinking laser.

      I have a brother MFP laser, haven’t changed the starter cartridges.
      Have printed plenty over the 2 years I’ve had it, kids have printed plenty too, but it’s only a few pages here and there like you.
      Thoroughly recommend after too many inkjet issues.

      I have an 8 year old Xerox colour laser printer I drag out of the garage to print the occasional page with and it still prints like brand new. An inkjet would have dried up years ago.

    Brother lasers always caused problems at work. Been through several.. have to keep pulling drum out and cleaning it. Print quality is fine, just annoying to have to keep pulling the toners out to clean

    Just friendly reminder when buying ecotank printer if your DO NOT USE In Build Cleaning function I'd your head block… Just print a page with the colour that get block. If you use the cleaning function it will go to ink waste area and once the sponge in this waste full you either need to buy new printer or manually pry open and pay the software to reset your printer..
