      • Wait you can email them? Since when?!

      • +2

If the purchase was in store take your receipt back to the store within 7 days and they will scan your Flybuys you will still get the bonus points.

        • Can confirm. Did this last time this offer was in stores. Got my points the next day.

  • +1

    $60 for me.

Use to shop with Woolies all the time but now I am constantly targeted for these ripper deals! Flybuys point balance is over 200k now

    • After the hacking of WW/Everyday Rewards points I always redeem mine straight away. No way I'd let that much $value sit unclaimed.

  • Collect 10,000 bonus points
When you complete a $90 shop at Coles each week for 4 weeks.
    Not me.

  • Do purchases of gift cards qualify towards the min spending requirements?

    • +1

      T&C say no.

      • Thanks mate, I just downloaded the app now to check. It says:

$50 or more must be spent in one transaction, after all savings, discounts and vouchers each week for 4 consecutive weeks. $50 transaction excludes purchases of all gift cards, iTunes cards, charity items/donations, tobacco and tobacco-related products, Coles Best Buys online exclusive products and online delivery fees.

  • Here's something I don't know yet: can you pay with Flybuys points and still qualify? I.e. $50 total products, $10 paid with 2000 points, $40 paid on gift card.

Whenever I claimed the $10, it was added into the 'savings' shown at the bottom of the receipt, that got me worried. Never tried it when it would have put me below the promo spend amount…

    • Doubt it, I wouldn't pay with flybuys to get flybuys as you aren't earning them.

    • +2

it will count if pay by swipe actual FB card (covert points to $ first), this way FB$ treated as cash.
if use auto-redeem by scan bar code, then $10 is like discount not counted to actual pay.

    • No it won't. As per the Terms and Conditions, members must meet their required spend after all savings and discounts.

      • Using FB points with the card, not instant redemption is a payment method and counts.

          • @noelhoi: seems it's on FAQ as:
If I take $10 off my shop, will I still collect points for the total amount before the Instant $10 is applied?
Yes, you will still receive points for the total amount of your shop. For example, if your total is $100, you will receive 100 points (assuming no bonus offers are applied), not 90 points.

but it's risk to test (if it doesn't count, have to spend another $50), will wait for someone practiced :)

            • @test8888: Take everything Coles say with a grain of salt. Just saying :)
Seems someone already done the testing for us.

            • @test8888: Incorrect
Every one of my shops where I've used 2000 points and had $10 taken off the customer shop in I've only received points on the lower amount
This is apparent from my shop on Monday where I do the $30 shop for 1,200 points, used 2000 points to take $10 off the cost of the shopping and I only receive 20 points

This has happened every time I've had one of these spend $50 every week for four weeks type deals I only receive 40 points (depending on spend)

              • @Spending2Much: But you received the 1,200 pts right?

                • @noelhoi: Yes, I get the bonus points, and it also counts towards the 4x$50 spend etc….

Except, instead.of getting 50 standard points, I only get, for instance, 40 standard points.

              • +3

@Spending2Much: I tested today, yes it does count.
top up $50 paid with $40gc + instant $10, on receipt showing "congrats first week done".

SP, I believe your FB is linked to Coles master card. yeah I also have and noticed that auto $10 off wouldn't give points so not as cash payment.

                • @test8888: for anyone interested.

                  we have done and confirmed a like to like test on two almost identical shop last night;

1st method: $10.50 using auto $10 off shop at checkout with flybuys card the pay the rest $0.50. No points awarded from this purchase. transacted 24 dec 23 flybuys $10 rewards -2000pts reflected on transaction

2nd method: $11.00 plain use of flybuys dollars credits swiping the flybuys card for the purchase. 11 points awarded from this purchase. transacted 24 dec 23 spent $11.00 +11pts reflected on transaction

despite the debate here on this. I don't know how some people here manage to get points from 1st method. It is definitely peace of mind using 2nd method flybuys dollars swipe method for all your purchases if you worry about bonus criteria or earning less points. we will always just stick with 2nd method now

  • And one more for the experts: best way to spend Flybuys points? I don't want to transfer to Virgin.

    • Giftcards

      • Aren't they usually priced at exactly $10 for 2000 points, with just the occasional promo giving a few bonus points for buying the more obscure cards that would be on special a lot anyway?

    • Do you mean other than converting to Flybuy Dollars to spend at Coles? That's the easiest use

      • If there's anything that yields a lot more value than $10 for 2000 points, that would be preferred.

Well, it's not even $10, since I usually pay at Coles with discounted gift cards.

I haven't found any worthwhile way to spend Flybuys, so keep hoarding them…

  • TARGETED!

  • +2

$60 for me, after it being $50 for at least the last 5 10,000pt promos I've taken part in. They're learning, clever girl…

  • $250 a week for me, or $300 to double it.

  • If I have a linked account with my wife, does it matter who's card we use?

    • I never tried it but it shouldn’t matter since the offer is account based.

    • +3

It's better to "split" 2 single accounts so you will receive 2 different (better) offers :)
we used to share one then realized OMG missed so many years double offers.

just take photo of card on another's phone to "share offer" when need.

      • +1

Absolutely this. The only OzB way.

  • I literally live across the road from a Woolworths but I drive 5 minutes to a Coles because they keep sending me the posted offer. Perhaps Coles knows that I live across the road from Woolworths. 😂

  • Same as 25% off your grocery bill

  • Picked up my Coles Click and collect order today there was an issue with what was supplied
Local coles store shrugged shoulders and saif online orders isn't anything to do with them…
I tried three times to send the SMS to the number of the online issue, that supplied on the email confirmation.
Three times I had an automated reply directed me to a computer bot

    Extremely frustrating

    • +1

Thats why if you didn’t already know, avoid Online shopping like a plague no matter how good of a bonus/cashback/discount offer you get. They are bloody hopeless when it doesn’t go according to your intention, not worth the hassle at all.

      • +1

I've been online shopping with Coles for years with very few problems, and if something is missing (very rare) a quick automated online chat and I've got a credit for the missing item. From my experience it's been fantastic.

  • I jumped on to my Flybuys app and couldn't find the Coles offer of the Following: Spend Min $50 in 1 Transaction for 4 Consecutive Weeks at Coles, Get 10,000 Flybuys Points
    Any Thoughts on the Reasom?

    • +1

Targeted. Not every single account gets it. Some gets it but different min spend.

  • +1

Week 1 done with a double dip: today still active the spend $50 to get 1000 points. And already active the spend $50 x 4 for 10000 points. Yay!

Combine that with only buying 1/2 price specials, and I can't see how they are not losing money on me…

    • -1

As long as you start shopping with Coles, they are winning…

      • +2

There are some items I can't get cheaper elsewhere, I might as well get them from Coles. If they give me 35% discount, on top of a 1/2 price special, that's perfect :-)

  • +2

Be careful with going with the $50 and choose points instead.

I scored this and completed it the other week, and I have the coles receipt saying this on the 4th week but I did an online shop the day after my 4th shop with a separate $20 promo that I used, and I had read this happening to someone else, but in the Cole’s system this was somehow recorded as me using the $50!

I have spent 2 hours on the phone with them and emailed the help address about six times now and this is still unresolved even with all the requested evidence.

    Buyer beware

    • +1

Yes, choosing the points is better for other reasons as well. The $50 has a short expiry date and if something goes wrong you could be in a queue and arguing you should be getting the $50 off, never sure when/if it will come.

      • +1

Yeh, I’m never doing this option again.

As someone with extensive system and DBA knowledge I’m just shocked their system is THIS bad.

  • Haven't received a target offer, but I shopped at Coles today and the bottom of the receipt says Week 1 qualifying shop is registered. Unfortunately now I have no idea what the minimum spend I need is, or how to activate the offer…

    • +2

      You can;
      1. Check your Flybuys account activated offers
      Or
      2. Spend the same or more for the next 3 weeks

      • Sometimes those multi weeks offer is not shown under activated offers after you complete the first week, then it pops up randomly again to remind you, hopefully not on the Sunday night.

Best not to shop online, if they cancel part of your order, you would miss your spending target. Also, the delivery need to happen on the same week, not the order.

Don't spend much more than the targeted amount, say if you spent say $70 for min $50 offer, you may find out next time the multi week offer will start from a higher amount, may be the min would start from $90.

  • this offer has disappeared on my Flybuy offer page after I completed the first week. Any one seeing the same?

    • Same here. I'm pretty sure it was there over the weekend. Under 'activated offers', now blank.

    • Observing the same. Transacted the $50 spend on 17-Nov. Called up Flybuys support team and they said over the phone I was enrolled and had fulfilled the criteria…but very odd/unexpected to see the offer disappear like that from the app. Will be monitoring it closely.

      • It now actually states this behaviour in the offer text:

"The offer will disappear online at the end of each week and will re-appear the following Wednesday if you qualify."

    • +2

If you’re new to the game, these kinda offer always disappears around Thu/Fri and reappears mid week following week. Dont worry as long as your receipt prints at the bottom “Congratulations you qualified week x of x” you’re good. Always a good measure to keep all your receipts during the promo 4 weeks to ensure you have backup proof if anything goes awry, plus u can earn more scanning them in using Shping.

      • Thx for the tips.
What is the bit about "earn more scanning them in using Shping"?

        • +2

New platform (app) where u can scan your receipts from your shopping on selected major retailers, and earn $$ from it. Search Shping in ozb

  • Trying to find the new deal of this one. The promo in my app and the post I saw a few days ago seem to have disappeared. Strange!

    • +1

This deal has now finished. A new one will be available but may be in a few weeks.

  • When do the points or discount get issued?

    • A couple of days after completing the last shop.

      • Where should it appear? I’m not saying it in my flybuys account.

        • It’s usually by 5PM AEDT the following day after your wk 4 qualification. Did your wk4 rcpt say “Congratulations blablabla” at the bottom?

          • @noelhoi: I never checked and chucked the receipt, where should it appear?

            • @haru: In your activity statement. Always keep the receipt.
