  • But not the legendary SF750? Sadge

      • Appreciate the thought, but the SF750 Corsair has excellent word of mouth in the SFF community already. Something nice about the familiar…

        • SF850L is more efficant vs the SF750.. thr new SF850L beats it in ever way apart from being a little longer.

          Check the reviews.
The SF850L is the new king on SFX powet supplies.. also.. they are no longer making or selling the SF750 :) cant even find it for sale anywhere in AUS or the US

@vid_ghost: That 30mm difference in length might be a dealbreaker for some SFF though

            • @Pusheencat: Yep.. looks like Cooler master and Thermal take still make standard SFX power supplies.. Corsair and ASUS not anymore.. both of their's are now SFX-L

      • Paid $189 for the Asus ROG LOKI SFX-L 750W here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/808003

lots of info about the SFX VS SFX-L on the post comments

        • Why did you go with the Loki over the SF850L?

  • Note SFX-L is bigger than SFX, (130mm long instead of 100mm)
Check compatibility with your case first.

    • Note my order arrived as another example of Amazon re-shipping a used item as brand new

It came without plastic shrinkwrap, bulging out of an unsecured cardboard flap, the silent fan noise disclaimer sticker was outside onto the foam packaging instead of directly on the PSU in what appears to have become a wrinkly creased bag + hair and brown cake (hopefully) crumbs stuck in the packaging.

I find it hard to believe someone only immediately returned this due to incompatible sizing!

Lucky sodder who managed to use this PSU and get to return for a full refund for Amazon to fob it off to the next unlucky customer.

I have not been keeping up with the valid neg votes (seller issue) but will at least neg on this product-seller combo as we are quickly reaching over a dozen cases of this in the past couple years.

      • Confirmed oil residue on the other scratched packaging, residue on the coated metal surface of the PSU, only a single remaining foam pad covering the grille, missing paper manual and engrained dust covering the mini heatsinks and internals. The fan looks clean so either the silent operation holds up, it is well designed or (more likely) it requires minimal effort for a superficially cleanable surface to the superficial poo people who use it! The ports look relatively fresh as well.

Unfortunately some of the gunk managed to make a mess of the floor.

Yours one is ATX form factor and op one is SFX.
You are bascailly comparing apples to oranges.

      • apples to oranges

        oranges to mandarins

  • Great price for the SF850L

  • +1

Excellent price! Also includes the 12vhpwr cables which is so needed (in place of the shitty nvidia adapters).

  • Added a negvote due to perpetual seller issues as well as with my specific SF PSU order in this case.

    See comment above

At least the "new" PSU is not as dirty as some other Corsair PSU orders Amazon had mishandled even this year.
